I am a Canadian. We have a British style democracy. Silly system, seems to still rely on a monarch as a symbolic head of state. A useless senate. Weird appeasement of one region at the cost of the rest of the country (Quebec.) But at least we have official election periods -- the writ is dropped, then you have an official election period -- usually under 3 months of running for office. The Americans seem to be running for office every minute of every day, no writ. Worse than this: a lack of common sense: they seem to believe that if a politician is convicted of a crime, he or she doesn't have to go to jail, as instructed by the court, because they have to jump over justice and go to their elected position. What other country lets a a criminal out of jail to go run their country? How does political choice rank above justice, common sense and the basic principles of equality before the law.
Because Trump will be convicted and will be sentenced to some form of incarceration even if it is only house arrest.

This would be insane. This is what Republicans led by Trump think should be allowed for their Leader. How is this even possible?
