Do ppl have really lost their minds considering this 2+tons, brick wall shaped benemoth to actually be a sports car?, it is either the world going crazy or it is me going crazy.. as it cannot be both.. and my sports car refferences, as a 39 year old man, are not brick walls with wheels, big heavy wheels for that matter.

This thing would look cool with a Martini livery like the Lancia Delta Integrale Evo had in the 90's. Hyundai has come a long way from where they were in the early 2000's. This is an achievement and a milestone.

Ive driven electric karts that have speakers producing engine noise that correlates with throttle application and wheel speed. It's definitely a gimmick, but it absolutely makes driving them more engaging.

I have a 23 Kona, which, I believe, shares the same platform as the ionic. It's very fun to drive. Way more fun than I had expected a Hyundai to be. The ionic 5n looks so good. I've seen a few of the non N's in traffic and they look great.
The fake engine noise tho, seems so silly. Whyyyyy would you do this to an otherwise seriously great car?

God I really want one, unfortunately the price of a new car in Indonesia is kinda insane, up to two or three times more expensive than North America. Lucky you guys who have the "normal" price of a new car. Love this one.
Gran Turismo is seriously coming alive into a real car. I'm sure in the near future, I'll be able to buy added performance and suspension "upgrade" with a tap on that infotainment system, changeable graphic paint and the car transform into Ioniq 5 N R+++

History has been made. This will be in the books the same way Ford will be known forever for the assembly line.
Hyundai is an entire decade ahead of everybody else when it comes to EV Performance.
I don’t care if Tesla makes a car that goes 0-60 in 0.1 seconds….there’s one thing that Hyundai has in its N line that Tesla does NOT, and that is SPIRIT!
And before anybody calls me a faNboy, I’m Ford-biased and have a Dark Horse on the way.
How are they ahead? Motors aren’t complicated to make. Sure not everyone else spent the time and money to make software that mimics an ICE. Everything else everyone else can do mate. The ICE N line does spirit so much so that it is copied through software to give customers a feel.
@dblezi except for the battery technology. That, Korea is waaay ahead of everyone.
@@anthonylim2428actually, their battery are less dense and offer less range. Sure, better than the vw but that's isn't saying much.
@@eugenux A sporty car doesn't need to focus on range that much. What's more important is power and therefore heat. And luckily, due to the 800V system, heat in high load situations isn't as much of a problem anymore. That and the silica carbite inverters make this an actual track-ready car, like you expect from Hyundai N.

Wow, as a very happy owner of a 2019 VW GTI Rabbit (Mk7.5), I would gladly get this as our 2nd household car, and prob become my daily, where my GTI would be my play/fun project car. Also, the GTI is manual, so my wife can’t drive it. So we need a primary vehicle she can drive too, and since we want our next car to be an EV, this would be it!! It looks perfect! And she likes it too👍🏼
