    Our 2017 0.9 Twinair Mito has been fantastic!! 💯
    Besides the usual maintenance we've only ever had a slave cylinder replaced (while under warranty) & a window reg. Bar that, nothing but the usual regular maintenance - now at 55k miles. Insurance is dirt cheap, MPG is 35 around town - 50 on the motorway, we can enter 'clean air zones' without charge, we're road tax exempt & with the Mito sharing a lot of parts with the Punto/ Corsa D, spares are cheap & super easy to get hold of; replacement Bilstein track rod ends only cost £12 each!! 👍🏼
    Another plus for us, is the Mito's simplicity. There's no matrix LED headlights that cost 1000s to replace & are only available to buy through Alfa - if a headlight goes out, it's 5 quid for a new bulb. Indicators aren't integrated into the DRLs either, so if they do fail, you don't automatically fail your MOT for having no front indicator.
    It's much the same with the mirrors - there's no blind spot warning, cameras or other electrical gubbins, so when your mirror inevitably gets knocked off (as it did to us), it's not a 400 quid fix... it's 40. 🙌🏻 Unlike with most new cars, new batteries don't even need coding to the car either - yet another saving!!
    & to those who say the Mito isn't 'posh' enough, think again... it has the same opening 'beep' as a Ferrari 812 & the same mirror caps as those on the 2007 Maserati Quattroporte 😝
    Ask us & the Mito is proof that 99% of car reviewers talk out of their jacksie - to them, the fact it's not laden with tech & doesn't have a 2.0 engine that develops a million horsepower, is a bad thing. Why?
    Because they're salesmen... they're incentivised to sell you the biggest moneypit they possible can, so when a super cheap super fly super simple super sensible supermini like the Mito comes along, they run it into the ground & tell you to buy a boring Fiesta 🥴
    Point being - the Mito (in our experience) is great, & judging by all the comments on this vid, we're clearly not alone in thinking that 🤷🏼‍♂
    Long live Alfa Romeo!! 🇮🇹

    I had a 105 bhp multi air until recently. Loved it HOWEVER I would advise don't get anything below 150 bhp if you want some throttle response, make sure its had proper services and enjoy. got it at 4 years old 12 plate and enjoyed it and it did not breakdown, but at 5 yrs I had to get a new clutch around 250 quid, and then at 7 yrs had to get a gear lever cable £140. Other than that it was maintenance, tyres break pads, services and it never failed MOT. Wish I'd got a stronger model because I may have paid balloon payment. I miss my little Mito and was always glad I didn't go for anything else in its class. Its a nice little car for shorter journeys. On a motorway, it was a bit noisy with wind whistle as the review says. For the 4 years I had mine, I gave it 3 services and put a cambelt on it when I first got it as it was low mileage. I really do miss that car. Looking for a Giulietta for my sins I just love em (even though most say they are not real Alfas). My Mito had good steering and did seem to grip the road well, but as I said, I would go for the more powerful ones for more fun. Someone near me has a 2010 version in red and I look at it longingly when I go by.

      3 services in 4 years is scarily low. That's why I don't trust second hand cars and replace absolutely everything within the first week of ownership.

    • @realreviews4017
      @realreviews4017 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@deividasnavickas I thought I had done Ok, it had been serviced just before I got it, however I took it in the first month of ownership to have it done. It was due when I gave it back as it was a lease PCP. It had 28,000 when I got it and only around 34,000 when I gave it back. I usually did it just after MOTs. I'll keep a stricter regime for my next one then.

    • @deividasnavickas
      @deividasnavickas ปีที่แล้ว

      @@realreviews4017 Thing to remember is that things ( especially mechanical ones ) are affected more by time than by mileage. Good ownership would consist of tracking both time and mileage and tackling the one that came first. Servicing vehicle twice a year before major seasons ( winter and summer ) would keep you out of trouble, car healthy and better image on second hand market. When I bought a Mito, the dealer tried selling me the "owned by women" trick, which means nothing. In reality that thing had it last service 26 months ago, so it was 20HP down when I put in on the dyno, 3 different tire types/brands one of which 7 years old and other stuff.

    • @deividasnavickas
      @deividasnavickas ปีที่แล้ว

      @@realreviews4017 also do your services BEFORE the MOT, so you know if anything needs to be done, there would be no surprised and having history of little to no "advisories" is also a sign of good ownership.

      @alenthomas9556 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You will have define what you mean best. I have personally owned a Mito Veloce, Giulietta QV and driven the Giulia Quad.
      Power wise and technology wise will be the Giulia, especially the Quad! It’s phenomenal. The giulietta is literally a bit grown up sister of the Mito. It is extremely fast on straights and super practical especially with the four doors. The Mito, is the naughty fun one in the family, it is so fun especially around B roads and if you have minor mods like spacers and lowered it - it makes the car soo much lively. I go to track days organised by the AROC at curborough and the Mito is phenomenal in the corners and I push it to the limit. The giulietta compared the Mito feels heavier (which ofc it is, and you do feel that!) the Giulia is the big daddy of the group and it’s a whole different class.
      In summary :
      Naughty and Fun : Mito
      Big Sister who is quick : Giulietta
      Big Daddy with all the tech : Giulia
      This is how i always seen it and hope it helps :)

      @@autorecon it's a car. The reliability depends on a lot more factors than the badge on the bonnet. I also own 155TB for +4 years woth +150k km.
      1. Make sure the gearbox bearings done properly, they usually go back around after 60k
      2. Mitos love to seize back calipers, but they are cheap to replace.

    • @simonh870

      @@duleopasni Maybe I should re-phrase that. When i meant newer cars i meant cars which only came out a year or two after. Like the Mk7 golf, Mk3 focus.
