hi your resin pcs came out beautiful! I've never had the chance to do these types projects > my Dad's 80th bday party is coming up > could I insert copy paper printed photos or photo paper pics & maybe 1-2 tiny 80 pcs? of course I'd purchase templates big enough > I was thinking about making some as fridge... magnets... leaving some just as is putting them next to the door as his family/friends are leaving they can be little thank you's for coming/sharing my 80th bday w me > thank you for sharing such an awesome video Lari
Hello Lori, sorry for the delay. I agree with Alexandra, great idea! I would caution you about copy paper, its absorbent and will probably soak up the resin and become blurry, but you could try laminating it first, or printing on our Special Photo Papers For Resin which are waterproof. You'll find those at little-windows.com Best wishes for a wonderful birthday celebration!
Hmmm, I think Iam gonna like doing this better than the acrylic pouring. I have started doing jewelry about a month ago andI love it but will prefer to not always have the cabochons so I can use dried flowers and different things in my jewelry.
Hi! Love this technique! The results are so beautiful and look like real glass! Question? If you change the background color from black to something else, do you get a different end result? I have made 2 pair of earrings, with different colored film and the outcome is almost the same on the black background. TFS your talent! ❤️🙏🏽

*LIKE FROM BRAZIL!* I really liked your work, I thought it was wonderful, but I don't understand English well, so I had doubts, could you help me? I saw in an old video of yours, you passing the resin on the fabric, so I wanted to know if the resin you used is epoxy or polyester? Is there a way to do this with polyester, because epoxy yellows over time?
Hello Lynn! I wouldn't use a hair dryer with resin as it pushes too much air which can cause the liquid to run and go places you don't want it to be. Try using a heat gun on a low setting. You can get an inexpensive one that'll put out heat without blowing much air. I hope that's helpful :) Here's a link to the one I use: www.amazon.com/Chandler-Tool-Embossing-Heat-Gun/dp/B07G4VMSHW/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=heat+gun+chandler&qid=1639335542&sr=8-5 I like it because it's sturdy and has a high and low setting :)

The clear plastic cups that you use to mix your resin, where do you get those cups from or do you sell them in your shop? It's exactly what I'm looking for: clear, reusable, small, flexible and hopefully easy cleanup like silicone! Love your tutorials!

Hi @narcisaelenastoicanescu9530, thanks for asking! I always use Brilliant Resin, which comes in sizes from tiny to huge for whatever project you have in mind. It's the safest epoxy you'll find, and great to work with: www.little-windows.com/collections/brilliant-resin-2 Keep creating :) fran@little-windows.com
What is the difference between a doming tray and a regular silicon mat? Are they interchangeable? Your videos have inspired me to try my hand at rein, thank you (I think)
Hi Gail! To achieve the Doming affect, you need 3 things: 1) A stiff, flat shape with a clear edge, 2) Something to lift that shape into the air so nothing touches the edges, and 3) A resin formulated with a high enough surface tension that stops flowing when it reaches the cut edge, as if it's reached a cliff, rather than flowing over the edges of the cut-out shape (not a resin made to coat artwork or bar tops, as they are made to flow). The advantage of our Silicone Doming Tray is that its fingers elevate your pieces so the resin knows where to stop, and if you do have a spill, the tray protects your surface. It's also a nice big size so you can create multiple pieces at once, and nothing at all will stick to it so you can also use it for painting, poly clay work, and other crafts. Hope that helps :) Here's a link... www.little-windows.com/collections/doming-trays/products/large-silicone-doming-tray
Hello Elle! I know they're hard to see, especially if you're watching on a mobile device, I used shapes cut out from our Clear Photo Film, you can also use plastic shapes cut out of take-out containers if you prefer. Hope that helps :)
Hello Donna! We do sell some nice findings at little-windows.com, have a look at this post which will give you a range of ideas for findings and some tutorials as well. www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/44279873-adding-findings Have lots of fun making :) - Fran
I love how you explain the process. I like what you are doing and can even start small business at home out these cute stuff. Where did you buy those pedant trays?
Wonderful tutorial!! Thank you very, very much for all of the info. I've never done resin but would like to start. Can you reheat the hardened resin you pull off your tray & reuse? Many Blessings!!!
Hi Susie! Resin can be so fun if you have the right products and everything you need at hand. It's such a versatile medium. Brilliant Resin will soften a bit with use, but it's not as vulnerable to heat as other epoxies. If you email me your idea I'll be happy to help you troubleshoot :) fran@little-windows.com

Great question @jshinn1914, the only time I've had this happen is if I drill through the piece without a piece of hard wood underneath. If you're pieces is on something with any give, the pressure can push the layers apart as the drill goes through each layer. Other than that, no, this Brilliant Resin bonds beautifully to these materials, and to itself. Let me know if I can be of any further help, and have fun creating :) fran@little-windows.com

What kind of resin do you use? Plese...it's looks really amazing and glass like!
Hi @narcisaelenastoicanescu9530, thanks for asking!
I always use Brilliant Resin, which comes in sizes from tiny to huge for whatever project you have in mind. It's the safest epoxy you'll find, and great to work with: www.little-windows.com/collections/brilliant-resin-2

@@LittleWindowsResin I ordered (and received the doming tray) Like I said, you've inspired me, so wish me luck, and thanks
I think I missed something. Do you have plastic shapes under those paper things? Or are you pouring resin on top of the paper directly?
Hello Elle! I know they're hard to see, especially if you're watching on a mobile device, I used shapes cut out from our Clear Photo Film, you can also use plastic shapes cut out of take-out containers if you prefer. Hope that helps :)
love it

Boa tarde sou do Brasil e não estendo seu idioma mais estou amando seus vídeo eu comprando os filmes você manda as estruços em português?
Do you send in France ?
I love how you explain the process. I like what you are doing and can even start small business at home out these cute stuff. Where did you buy those pedant trays?
Hello ginarufus, you'll find these bezels here: www.little-windows.com/collections/jewelry-bits-2
Thanks for asking :)
If you email me your idea I'll be happy to help you troubleshoot :) fran@little-windows.com
how do you emboss those papers?
Hello @brianlavigne596! Have a look at this tutorial and you'll see how I emboss these films, and there are links to all of the supplies you'll need.

LittleWindowsResin Yay! Great I’m going to order soon. Thanks so much for replying back. I’ll message here if I have questions. Thanks again!
have you ever had problems with the resin delaminating from the film?
Great question @jshinn1914, the only time I've had this happen is if I drill through the piece without a piece of hard wood underneath. If you're pieces is on something with any give, the pressure can push the layers apart as the drill goes through each layer. Other than that, no, this Brilliant Resin bonds beautifully to these materials, and to itself.
Let me know if I can be of any further help, and have fun creating :)

Where do you get your 3m double sided adhesive please?
Hi Liz! Here's a link www.little-windows.com/collections/adhesives Thanks for asking :) - Fran
@@LittleWindowsResin Thank you! I will be purchasing some items soon. I hope they get the heart molds in soon that are shown in the video. Glad to see that they are up and running.
Hi your tutorials are amazing. I'm in the UK and the postage is too expensive to order the films and the black dye. Can you suggest anything I can buy instead of yours in either China (free postage) or the UK please.
Wow, you'll need to experiment Patricia to see if anything replicates this look for you, you can paint the back of your pieces with black acrylic paint, or work on black plastic. Here's a code you can use for 10% OFF at little-windows.com to help offset shipping: LW1019
Exquisite voice!
When you taped the dichroish film together. What type tape was used? Any special tape?
