I was at Expo 67. This building is a work of art and the suites, open for viewing during Expo, were beautiful. The roof of a suite was the deck of the suite above it. Just an incredible structure.
I am a Brit and I have to say I think I one day might travel to Canada, something I have never done before, just to see this building. It is like a Mediterranean hill village with the buildings creating the hill. This architect should get the RIBA Gold Medal. It is a masterpiece.
Looks like some ruins of an ancient city from far, closer to it, they look like a bunch of tricky ruby cubes , still closer, each segment assumes a seeming completeness, with the sky in frames and in link with the whole expanse of the structure. Very very fascinating work.
Wow ! Very avantgarde ! One of my favorite Arch heads primarily for this project. His theory has obviously played and planned out all over the world to meet the needs of a expanding population .
I'm reading a book written by Pierre Burton on Canada in 1967 (called Canada's last good year) and I am at the part where's he's talking about Habitat and how Saftie was screwed over by our Government and others. I can't go into details because I'll just screw up names and who did what. However, I suggest looking it up because it is quite interesting, not earth shattering but interesting. I do know Jean Drapeau was involved in some way as was a French (France) concrete structural company (sorry that's a pretty ambiguous statement).

What a great housing concept!! Google the interiors, such great flats, also on the inside.

I wanted to see the inside of an apartment now. kind of like shipping containers with an adobe finish look now. very nice.

Dreadful shame the properties are flats for millionaires.
