Thanks for uploading! Was reading people's comments about Bethel taking down the original video.. Of all the cover songs out there, they go after the one that fixes the controversial lyrics that made many uncomfortable singing it. I remember attending church with my best friend once, and her husband always attended too even though he wasn't a believer then [he is now, praise God].. anyways, they played Reckless Love, and he was straight up shocked. He didn't understand how attributing recklessness to God wouldn't be considered blasphemy. Bethel's song literally made an atheist declare "blasphemy" .. That should say something. Lol

So, Bethel basically went after a cover song because it fixed the questionable lyrics in the original? That really doesn't help their case at all. It's like they went on defense because someone used the Bible to correct questionable theology.
That's ridiculous. I tried looking it up yesterday and couldn't find it. Figured they already got lawyers on the scene. Lost whatever little respect I had for them.

The issue is that it's not really a cover. They've written a new song and mainly used music that someone else wrote. Christian song or not, it was obviously going to be a copyright/licensing minefield. I said this on the original video, but it would have made more sense to write an entirely new song (i.e. new lyrics and melody) in response... or personally, I'd just ignore a song if I really didn't agree with it.
