Just to be clear, there was an update for the Camera.
When you change cameras while shooting video, it happens instantly in the playback.
Also, image stabilization IS WORKING on UHD30 video mode.
Yes absolutely true. This video was made long in advance of those updates. I'll pin the comment!

Good review. but... I am here for A54's camera, not S23's... It is much annoying non-stop comparing phones that are even in absolutely different categories... So just keep the good reviews, but don't compare phones like that!
As one of the older persons with my first smart phone, I felt your video was geared to what the A54 phone will not due, suited more to folks who will probably NOT own this camera.
the video stabilization for 4k30 is already available as of May 1st
I think there is no need to compared all the time the A54 with the S23, if I want more info of an S class phone I can see a tutorial of S23....

Kudos for this exhaustive, quality review. I watched this on my PC as I had to practically put the phone beside the keyboard and follow the demonstration practically. Worthwhile experience and am better for it. I have had this phone for about 3 weeks now but must confess that I knew nothing about the tips you shared on the A54 Camera. The comparisons drawn with the S 23s quite illuminating, implying that I made a good decision purchasing the A54, after all. Your flow, diction are commendable...the demo with the kid playing football was a refreshing one which eliminated any tendencies for boredom. Will surely look up your previous videos.

I just think this was a weak video for A54. Maybe you should have just renamed it to 'Doesn't do what S23 does'. Sorry, but as a new owner, this just felt like a put down with references to another video - about the S23.

A TH-camr local to me here in the UK, wanted to know why not performing well, so I linked him to your video. You explained the technical reason for the stabilisation limitation. I gave my answers, but he needed more. I generally think Samsung functions depending on the class of the phone!
For a midrange phone it can still do quite a bit!

Is there 2x on portarit mode if i install camera assistant?
When I take a photo on the A54 in portrait mode, it allows adjustments afterwards. The "artistic" mode doesn't always show up as an option, and also, how do you use it effectively? Thx.
The only thing concerning me was @17:33 for video stabilisation I would need "bright resolution turned on". How do I do that? Thanks.

How do I blur the background (or set a different color or whatever) when recording myself with the front camera - without being in a call? So just using standard video or portrait mode.

Mine doesnt have directors view. It also doesn't support dual camera app (for front and back, my old s5 did it)

As far as I can tell if you have it set up to save to your SD card it saves everything there. It also saves in my gallery too but it's just easier to check it out there rather than having to go to the SD card every time.
@cheryldinino2397 Thanks for the answer. Yes, I bought the phone many months ago, and have been recording on a 512 gb SD card, ever since. No probs. Lovely phone and grest that I can record hours of 4K video 😀

Samsung is doing good I’m thinking about getting one of these Samsung phones what do you think about the Galaxy s21 fe do you think it a good idea to buy in 2023 or not
just save up a little bit more and get the S23. It is not that much more than a S21 FE. The S23 is so much better than the S21 FE.
My videos are only 18 minutes long? How do I set the camera take full length videos.
I find that in every update, i lose some of the original features the phone had when I first bought it. Got to say I'm not happy with it. It's like duping customers into buying because of certain features then taking them away bit by bit via updates that are not exactly updates, but downgrades.

I found out samsung a54 camera flash light Turned On not Enable when camera set to 50mp, flash light only 2 options (disable & Auto) when 50mp, usually got 3 options
Only 10s exposure on pro mode :/
Why does my 64gb sd card only show as 6gb ?
I put 32 and 64 gb sd but only giving me 6. Both new and both formated tried but it dod nothing.

Press and pull the main button downwards to get burst shots.

yes it has sort of...floating shutter only for photos.
There are 3 cameras on the back of the A54: macro, standard, and wide-angle. By default the standard lens is used. Obviously when you manually select "macro", the macro camera is being used. But there is no specific option in the menus to select "wide angle", and I have not seen ANY document or instructional video (including this one) that tells you how/when the "wide angle" camera gets used. Is the use implicit in some other mode(s), or is there some explicit way to choose it? This would seem to be important, since there are many articles & videos claiming that the wide-angle camera is inferior to the standard camera. CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW TO SELECT THE WIDE-ANGLE CAMERA OR TO KNOW WHEN IT IS IN USE? THANKS!
So when you are you in photo mode, switch to the number that says 0.6x or 0.5x. That's all you need to do
Too bad this smartphone has no other option : Dual view video... 😕

well. Here's my 2cents. I am 69. Not tech savy however I've been using smart phones for quite sometime. I will just play w camera settings to see how they work...probably the best way to learn...the only issue I had w this review had nothing to do with the camera/phone...I just found it hard to follow bc...no offense...you would kind of lower your voice & mumble at the end of quite a few of your sentences making it very hard to understand. I had to stop watching bc I felt like I was missing too much info. Granted...I am 69 & who knows...maybe I'm losing my hearing but this was the 1st review that gave me this issue. Anyways...phone is being delivered tomorrow...I may just have to revisit...thanks for your time

No only the S series support that and no FE cannot be support expert raw.

S23 over rated for someone like myself A 53 is perfect and also my pictures and videos are fine..

gaming pubg is lagging even on extreeme just minor.

Samsung S23 is unbelievable but camera is a crap. Shutter speed doesn't work well even with camera assistant and expert raw or pro mode. It's shame.
that you cant learn how to use the camera beginner luck will learn the hard way.
Borders on the useless for a beginner. E.g. first thing he does is go over camera settings without telling you how to get to them. 2nd, as others point out, he compares everything to the S series camera. Useless to me as I have only the A54. 3rd he does not enunciate. He'll say "Now let's talk about the mumble. He just mumbles through the name of the thing he's about to talk about.
