    This is not a joke!!!!!!!! I was dating a Japanese woman for ten years before we got married, and I lived in Japan with her, we were married for ten more years and when this guy said they turn into monsters, he was not joking, and after we had our son, who is now six years old, she became even worse!! In the last two years of our relationship, I had enough, but I didn't want to divorce her as I believed we could work out our differences! I adored my son and he loved me very much, but my wife was jealous of our bond!!! One morning I drove my wife and son to his school and left the car with her, as I had to take the train to work, I said goodbye to my son and told him I loved him very much and I would see him when I got home that evening as always, and he said the same. I also said goodbye to my wife and she said the same with a smile. When I got home that evening, I was devastatedly shocked to find that she had left me and kidnapped my son😱😭 she had also taken the car and everything in the apartment! She had also canceled the apartment agreement!! And everything that she had done is legal in Japan!! I had done nothing to warrant such an attack!! I could not work as a teacher anymore because I was so devastated at losing my son, I couldn't stop crying at work, as missed him so much! I had to go back to England!! I am saving as much money as possible to go back and find my son, as he must be also devastated!! It was an evil act, as far as I'm concerned!! So make sure that you check all the laws in Japan before getting married to a Japanese woman!!!

      Japan's gender wage gap is at the bottom of the OECD.
      Japan is famous for being a male-dominated country.
      Because of the large wage disparity between men and women, men are forced to live a life in which it is difficult for women to be independent.
      This TH-camr makes statements that are typical of a selfish Japanese man.
      In order to "prevent Japanese women from being stolen away by foreign men," they use a lot of hateful expressions that demean Japanese women.

And BTW, I've looked up hspanek/midlestrn themes occasionally. So by your point I would at least see 1 negative video on hspanek/midlestrn culture. So far 0 to none. Unless I search it up of course. But again as I am repeating myself, I watch Japanese videos occasionally and am recommended nothing but negative videos about Japan. This NEVER happened with hspanek/midlestrn. • @TexanIndependence
      @TexanIndependence 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +38

      @@kawaiihikari0 Skip Japan, too expensive. Second, you're honestly better off going to a cheaper asian country and just finding a girl there that speaks Japanese EVEN IF what you desire is a Japanese-speaking Asian girl because you're an Otaku. I'm fluent in Japanese and lived there and can tell you Japanese women HATE otaku, utterly HATE them. Whereas you can find Chinese, Filipina, and other girls that love Japanese anime, probably can speak some with you (if that's what you're into), and you will generally get along with them much better. I married a Chinese woman who respects me (but I do have to put the foot down when she goes into tiger mom mode to ensure that is only directed at the children, but that's frankly the mother instinct ALL women have, if you don't make them shut-it-off when they talk to you it will be a problem), and while I might prefer Japanese language (it's easier on the ears), everything else is 10x better. Plus you can live in parts of China for $200/mo rent ($300/mo due to US dollar inflation) with no contracts, my entire living costs were like $550 a month, maybe you'd need like $700/mo now, I lived for years while doing remote American work making multiple times that. Lived like a king. In Japan you'd need like $4,000 a month to live in a major city. But it is pretty fun. I would just go on vacation trips to Japan (only like $300 flight from my part of China to Japan) several times when the urge hits me. Find a job that you can do remotely in America. Heck there are call center jobs you can do for like $18/hr in the USA REMOTELY, so then do it from China where $18/hr ($3,000/mo) makes you richie rich.Heck you could work part-time, just 20 hours call center in the USA and make $1,500 a month which is easily enough to live like a king in much of Asia.
      On a side note, (if you're still listening), I'll just say if you like anime, even just a LITTLE bit, that is strike one with many Japanese women, if they catch you watching certain types of anime, they will FREAK OUT on you. And if you're a christian it's strike two. When some Japanese female colleagues heard that I watched some popular shonen anime (if you watch DBZ, Naruto, etc. KEEP IT A DANG SECRET) it nearly cancelled out my good rep as Shacho, some mockingly called me the "Otaku Shacho". And even before that, it seemed like only the gyaru type girls were the only girls with decent english willing to speak (others too shy and poor english). It's much harder to go after the shy, modest, conservative types (you have to be able to speak FLUENT Japanese because their english SUCKS) that I would want there because Japanese nationalism is really weird compared to other countries. I disliked most Japanese women because they are so dang materialistic and godless. There are more christian trad wives in China where christianity is persecuted, than Japan where christianity is just mocked and non-existent as one Japanese friend told me, "you Americans killed christianity here" and told me how Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the christian refuge cities where christians hid for centuries from shogunate persecution and that the USA wiped out virtually all of Japan's christians and the Enola Gaye used the largest church in Japan to drop the bomb. Anyways, long story short, get a wife from a neighboring country, and if you like the japanese langauge just find a chinese, korean, taiwanese, thai, filipina, indonesian, or other wife that speaks japanese (studies it, or so forth). I'll admit Japanese is the most beautiful language of the region, but slap it on ANY of the women of neighboring regions (and I've dated most of those I listed) and they far exceed Japanese women. But darn if I don't prefer it. But if you want a shy, conservative girl (ASK them if they like America and if they say "Yes" RUN AWAY, very far away, the proof is when you follow up with "why?" and their answers are always materialistic bad stuff, like celebrities, money, fashion, etc. the correct answer is for them to shrug and say "I don't know", but "no" is better than "yes" but may cause problems if you try to bring them to the USA later since they don't like it).

    • @TexanIndependence
      @TexanIndependence 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kawaiihikari0 I see you work in IT, and have a good income. Save up like $50k bro and you can live like a king elsewhere for a few months or years and make a killing just doing remote IT work. I'd recommend China, Philippines, Thailand (great beaches), or other Asian locations. Japan and Korea got great cultures to suck you in but the women have issues and the living costs are just too dang expensive for foreigners, especially rent. In Japan the landlords often will reject foreigners altogether, they are even allowed in their advertisements to say "no gaijin" or "no filipinos" or "no africans" (landlords can openly discriminate on nationality and even on race though they usually will frame it around nationality to avoid getting labelled a racist but it's legal regardless). Many landlords generally view gaijin as unstable tenants, which is generally true. Korea is worse as they tend to require all tenants give them huge deposits up front (like $40,000 to rent an one bedroom apartment) unless you find a rundown place or look far outside the city centers. I found it cheaper to just negotiate with hotels for long-term stays (i.e. pay for 30 days at a time) than to get an apartment but it makes you feel like a permanent outsider until you can get a girlfriend to jeonse with you. Pretty crazy. Like to just RENT a 2 bedroom apartment under jeonse system you have to put up $80,000 and then live there "rent free" for two years as your landlord pays YOU back after 2 years. It's really weird. It's virtually impossible for foreigners to get a loan for jeonse in order to rent an apartment, you basically have to be rich enough you could just put the money down yourself or are willing to put a house down as collateral, you almost always have to have a wife or girlfriend do it for you. So yeah, that's why Korea and Japan suck as far as rent/living costs for foreigners. I liked Korean women more than Japanese women, but Japanese nightlife/cities more than any other. But Korea itself is so dang depressing after a while and I broke up with my korean ex because she became an alcoholic (they are like the irish of asia, love soccer, drink tons of beer, but with endless sad songs playing instead of upbeat pub songs) and didn't date others because the american-crazy girls are all materialistic and not my type while the ones that dislike America and are better women (conservative, patriotic) tend to be sometimes strongly anti-american due to US troop issues (lots of clubs there with "No Americans Allowed" signs or "No Foreigners Allowed" when I was there while others had policies of not letting you in if you don't speak Korean, though honestly I regret ever going to Korean clubs as the women in them are trashy just like in US clubs, I found better women ironically in their PC cafe's playing starcraft with them, haha) and their families were often a bit less accepting as Korea has a lot more ethnonationalism and "mixing blood" is frowned upon. One time I was standing in front of my hotel trying to get my girlfriend to come in with me and a korean grandma went out of her way to bump into me very forcefully. Ultimately skipped out on that and married a great Chinese woman, total trad wife. Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore are great too, they are all used to foreigners and you won't meet as many people that treat you like you're different especially if you speak Chinese with them, I often felt like "one of them" (but I am fluent) and treated respectfully by their parents whereas Korea and Japan you are ALWAYS foreign to them and often looked down on by parents (unless they are western-crazy families who are materialistic scum that you don't want to marry into). Met her in one of the more christian cities there (she wasn't herself yet, but her sister and aunt were christian so she was open to it though her parents are still sort of noncommitted pagans). Basically if you want a tradcon wife with a conservative patriotic family yet still welcoming to foreigners you have to look outside of Japan and Korea oftentimes because ethnonationalist ideas are often interwoven into their form of tradcon. Hope I helped. I noticed the kek which is why I bring that stuff up.

      @@TexanIndependence dude I read every word… thank you for this advice. So actually I’ve been talking to Chinese women. Well like 20 of them messaged me and so far only thing we can do is voice chat. But better than texting. Anyway I was talking to this one and she is by far over 10 years old than me I’m 21. But seems like she is in the right mind not materialistic at all and loves the same things I do nature, food, music, and more other intimate things I guess. So she has me kinda wanting to go to China (I know some of their culture from having international students from Korea, Japan, and China) and I love their food and their culture is very nice as well. (Really just want to leave the U.S. to an Asian country) and she wants me to go. She doesn’t want to go to the U.S but rather stay in China. Not sure if it’s weird she is 37 😂 and again I’m 21. (I dated an American women at 18 she was 38) I want a women who is more traditional and respectful as she seems to be and we have talked about these values and told her what I would accept and not accept 🤷🏻‍♂️ so I turned my eyes to China and currently I’m learning Chinese first tones and then pinyin. I have a teacher and everything and she is helping me with 5 words a day 😂😄. You said in China even part time you could live comfortably which is crazy I live in Southern California sooo expensive. But I have a question 🙋‍♂️ you said getting a remote job. I have IT experience of 5 years with more advanced things like networking but I don’t mind to do a more basic job if it means a life in China and a possible relationship. The main pint is to escape CA. And learn the language because I think it’s very fun the whole learning process even though it’s very hard. So how do I even get there as far as a visa? Work visa? And you said work for a U.S. company and then move to China? Wasn’t sure what you meant as far as that because that’s another thing I need to secure. A lot of remote jobs are within the U.S. unless I target the few that are abroad somehow haha. What are the steps? Cause I didn’t understand on my part.

    I'm married to a Japanese woman. She's not quite a "monster wife." However, she does have her moments with our kids, and depending on the situation, I'll either defend her or our kids. My best advice I heard from other foreigners is, "Study her mom." The advice is mostly true. Other than that, as a husband, you need to have a back bone and don't always put up with that behavior. Marriage is a foundation; not one person over another.

    This I can confirm. My wife is Japanese, I'm Mexican. Completely different lifestyles. She was like a innocent girl when we were dating, then when we got married. She became Big boss mama bear. It was a struggle since she wanted most control of our finances, which was fine as she barely spent anything on herself and more towards our daughter's, but she was always asking for my paycheck stubs, and decisio making around the house. After about 8 years, she realized our way of lifestyle is a bit more loving and more partnership rather than dominance. Our marriage is still great and has vastly improved, especially when we moved back to California, and we love our daughters very much. I guess she felt like she needed to show her prowess in Japan so she can be a traditional Japanese wife/mother.

    Lol this is funny to me as an Indian. Since most Asian countries share the same culture, I can totally relate to this. Even in Indian marriages, in some communities, the wife is the boss of the house and every expense needs to be approved by the wife - In our culture she is the manifestation of Mahalakshmi, the deity of prosperity and happiness and the husband is the manifestation of Mahavishnu - the solver of problems lol. In other words, she is the foundation and the root that makes and maintains the home, its ambience and provide good nutrition for everyone. Whereas he is responsible to provide the finances for this and remove obstacles that arise. This requires both to be disciplined - and women in our cultures are generally more disciplined about everything after marriage than men - who are still childish and carefree lol.
    Marriage is more than a romantic union in our cultures. Since they are an economic unit in society and are responsible to ensure their kids grow up to be smart and responsible, the husband and wife have responsibilities they must follow and they change as the family grows and evolves. This is not so much in western marriages - used to be in the 50s and 60s, but not anymore since they are a highly individualistic society whereas we are a collective society. So I can totally relate to the culture shock lmao.

One thing I noticed was that long term ladyfriends in China, whether wifed-up or not, very quickly enter wife-mode where they will nag incessantly about everything. Very strong keep-up-with-the-Joneses mentality too. Many Chinese people come from poor backgrounds, others are spoiled rich kids, both care a LOT about money, specifically what you can do for her with that money. This may come off as thrifty sometimes, but mostly cause she wants you to save up for an even nicer gift for her. Sex ed is nonexistent and sex is generally taboo, so you have a lot of clueless girls doing the starfish and the occasional nympho where you wanna get tested afterwards. There's a ton more....

I guess if you're going to a large city in China and not looking for anything too serious and don't mind taking the lead in everything you might have a good time (just don't let the girl know where you live, trust me). In smaller cities girls will be more conservative and while they might put out, they'll assume you're being serious and if you dump her you might find her dad and his work buddies outside your house one day looking pissed.

    Thank you: I enjoyed this very much. I have lived in Japan for almost 40 years and now live half and half in Japan and Europe. Of course I have Japanese close women friends, but I have been careful not to marry. Many foreign men I know in Japan married to get a visa but 永住者/permanent resident without marriage is best!
    When I was first in Japan (1984) there was a comic magazine about a dreadful middle -aged wife "Obatarian" - and I understood the danger of marriage. At first I worked as a 英会話/English teacher and there was a class of older housewives. One lady told me that she was very unhappy because her husband had retired and was now always at home. The ladies taught me their Japanese word for such a retired husband - 粗大ゴミ/oversized garbage.
    Now I am in my seventies, and many of my Japanese friends are of the same generation. Many of them are really happy couples, still enjoying their lives together - maybe more than my Western friends in Europe, where so many are divorced. Everyone, man or woman, Japanese or foreigner, is an individual so every relationship is different. My experience is that Japanese women are still kind to me, even after almost 40 years - but I've not married ....

While we dated, I had to regularly go to other locations/countries for work. She was fine with it, but once we got married, it was no longer acceptable. I switch to a position I would be home every day, except a three or four nights twice every three months. That seemed to still bother her. Once I retired and was home regularly, she left.
      The sex issue changed overnight the moment we got married and had our first child. It went from daily, to once every couple months, and even that she made it out like that was too much.

      So then, if a woman comes in to say "Hey, maybe this isn't okay guys" everybody can point and say "See! The woman is too sensitive, that proves it! Sheesh. Can't take a joke at all!"
      So the women have two choices: stay silent and let the echo chamber resound with agreement, or try to chime in and be ridiculed as proof for speaking out. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    25 years into the relationship with my now Japanese ex-wife. I gave her the baby and did my job and the tyrant emerged! This video was very funny and cut very close to home for sure. It is not far off in describing a certain sets of housewife behavior (in my experience and observation).

    This isn't all that different from marriage in the West. The biggest differences are housewives are an endangered species, and Western men usually wait till after the divorce to give their wives all their money. On behalf of your wallets Japanese men have my condolences.

    I am very happy with my beautiful Japanese wife, she really is perfect, all she wants to do is make me happy. In fact the biggest argument is when I do housework, she says it makes her feel like a bad wife. Yes she manages the money, but she is very good at it. I honestly could not be happier, she is beautiful, sexy and the love of my life. We have one son live in Yokohama and have been married for twelve years.

      There're exceptions to everything. In fact this doesn't apply to only foreign men
      but all men Japanese or other wise.
      Japanese women are especially coy and cute and never show their true color
      until they literally hook you into marriage. But they are scheming and shrewd
      not very communicative (which can be said on both sexes of Japanese society).

    how my freinds marriage of 10years went in the usa
    1 spent all his money
    2 did not do any of the house work
    3 always yelled at him for not making enough money
    4 always complained he slept to much *worked 2 fulltime jobs*
    5 always insulted him and made me feel worthless
    the divorce was brutal but once it was over he felt like he was in heaven
    told me if ever mentions getting married again to beat some sense in to him ^_-

    I had a Japanese girlfriend for a few years and she was absolutely fantastic. But I think you're right. I saw the signs. She would scrutinize every charge on the phone bill. "This 2 dollar tax makes no sense. Why do they charge $2? Is that a mistake? Can you call the phone company?"

    しらない間に離婚された問題が一番怖いと思う。I think the scariest thing about marriage in Japan is that you can be divorced without your knowledge or consent. All your partner has to do is fake one signature and then hand the paper to the city hall. You'll lose complete access to your children, because Japan does not have joint custody laws. This is partly why men here fear their wives so much. If you are foreign and your visa depends on your marriage status, then you will be forced to change your visa status or face deportation.

    • @employee8449
      @employee8449 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Really! No need to personally show up in court? Interesting...
      But it is certainly a crime to fake a signature? And it's not that hard to prove a signature to be fake, is it?
      An instant divorce may have downsides if you have children, but apart from that I'm very positive about it!
      (In Switzerland you can delay a divorce for two years for no reason. My Japanese ex-wife ruthlessly exploited that stupid law.)

    • @darkjapan
      @darkjapan ปีที่แล้ว +21

      @@employee8449 Since this means your abusive partner can ruin your whole life without any warning I see nothing positive about it. Just handing in a document at the town hall is enough. There is no court case unless both parties take it to court, but that is unusual. Faking a signature is obviously a crime but it's impossible to prove and no one is going to take such a case to court. Besides signatures are nothing compared to Hanko, or personal seals in Japan. And anyone can use your personal seal on a document if they have it. I'm sorry you had such a hard time getting divorced. International marriages are certainly very complicated and have poor legal protection.

    • @employee8449
      @employee8449 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@darkjapan Why does being on your own again after divorce necessarily ruins your life? Because you have to pay a lot? Or is there a social stigma?
      I understand there are complicated cases, mainly if you have children or also if you own a house. But if one partner decides to break up, the relationship is over anyway. Obviously, consent is preferable. But if your partner is toxic, why should you not want to break up and get divorced?
      My ex-wife kicked me out of my apartment because I lost my job. Obviously, this was the end of our relationship. But she then delayed the divorce to get more money.
      That was very annoying, but it didn't ruin my life. Never getting divorced would have ruined my life.

    • @darkjapan
      @darkjapan ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@employee8449 I think you answered your own question. You lose your home, your children, your visa status and most likely your job too. Many people will put up with a bad situation to protect their children from abuse.
      I'm really sorry about what happened to you, and I can see how a quick divorce would seem appealing in that case. But divorce should be a consensual thing and that consent should be more thoroughly verified than just a Hanko.

    • @employee8449
      @employee8449 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@darkjapanAgreed. Of course it is terribly wrong if a Hanko that is safe and easy to fake serves as the sole proof of concent.
      Still, I think divorce should be easier under Swiss law, especially for childless couples.
      Just one more question: How hard is it to get divorced under Japanese law if you decide not to fake a Hanko?
