  • BlondMe Ice Toner- Schwarzkopf Review
    Hi! In this video I test out the ice toner from Schwarzkopf Blondme. I bleached my roots first since I have dark hair naturally. Then I used the 20 volume developer from Schwarzkopf Blondme with the ice toner. I show you the results and how long they last and if it's worth it. I have bleached hair and wanted to use this to tone it/ colour it. Hope you guys enjoy my thoughts!
    Please subscribe for more videos as I plan to make a blonde series!!!

    Professional stylist here🙋🏽‍♀️ so the reason your hair feels softer after toning is because a toner will close down the cuticle. Purple shampoo will not do this, and over using purple shampoo will only dry out the hair more. That’s why i will recommend only using purple shampoo after about 3-4 weeks of your original appt. Toner can last anywhere from 4-6 weeks in the hair depending on the clients at home care, how often they wash, the temperate & shampoo. In fact, a few clients who have used purple shampoo too early noticed their colour getting stripped right out. So try not to overuse purple shampoo, toning with an actually demi permanent colour is a much better option🥰🥰

      Could you please help me 🥹 I’ve bleached my hair multiple times, had pink in it and now it’s faded kind of patchy. I want to bleach it (partly) and go icy in between (my goal is to go pastel colors), but I’m kind off scared to damage my hair too much. Im bleaching my hair with 20 developer, is the developer possible to mix with the toner? And does using the 20 developer mean it’ll damage lots after bleaching? I hope you can help I’d be forever grateful!!!

    Hey, I've actually used this toner and it works super well and stays on very long, about 3 weeks for me (I wash my hair every day), but my guess is that after all the bleaching sessions you've done, the cuticles of your hair are blasted open so the color goes in really well but comes off quickly too. What I do is right after rinsing the toner I apply some apple cider vinegar mixed with some aloe vera gel, both will help retain moisture and keep the color in by closing the cuticles. I encourage you to give it a try.
    You look good with both shades of blonde anyway :)

      @@akularz-shati2047 so what I do is I wash my hair very well and in a bowl mix 1 part vinegar with 1 part aloe gel and leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse it off with cold water, it won't magically change your hair to it's previous unbleached state but for me it helps a lot.

    Your hair is very light, so it’s cuticles are wide open and it has high porosity. It’s always the cool pigments that wash out the fastest. All these factors contribute to the fast fading of the toner.

    Hello, just a little friendly advice. Next time you should use the blonde me 7% when toning your blonde. In order to give an accurate review it’s important to understand the chemistry of the products you are using. It’s not a surprise that your toner washed out. Also make sure you leave it on for the full 20min. Also what’s your hair wet or dry when you applied your toner? Please don’t give a review if you are unsure about what to are doing because it can be misleading about a product. Also blondeMe has an extensive after care line that should be used with there products. Lastly, yes T18 is a good toner too however it leaves your hair dried out and porous. Whereas BlondeMe is on a whole different level of quality and care. Good luck! P.S.It’s a good idea to get a license before you drive a car especially if you want to teach someone else.

      Hi! I used the 6% since it says you can use that on the instructions. It also says you can use 7 vol on pre-lightened hair (I think that's what you meant by 7%). My hair was semi wet when I applied my toner, I find that the color turns out more even when it's not 100% dry. I did leave it on for 20 min. Btw, I would've gone to a salon but my experiences there haven't been the best. I simply followed the instructions on the box and documented my experience 🤗

    I actually wonder if you lightened your hair enough to use this product properly. Your hair needs to be pale yellow and the toner needs to be used with 7 volume not 20... you likely had your cuticle blown open way too wide and didn't close it down enough.
    Just a thought for next time

      @@2106Celeste it is possible to mis the toner with developer. My secret to not damaging my hair cuticle is to use coconut oil in the mixture as it will seal the hair cuticle. I just use the same measurement for the developer. I also use a higher developer, but that’s just me.. because the coconut oil protects it .. I mean you can try, but this product kinda overtoned my hair (I didn't like it).

    • @MBeauty
      @MBeauty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it's a toner so it's meant to tone bleached hair. (Not a high lift hair dye). If you have hair that isn't too dark or thick (the strand) you might want to try Wella Koleston Special Blonde in the shade 12/81 with a 12% (40 vol) developer for the roots only). On my hair I can't use it to lift because my hair is too dark and thick.

  • @myamia2743

    Maybe this is a silly question 🙊but I’m wondering why you don’t use a dye box (platinum blonde) after bleaching. And you’re using toners instead. Thank you Maria.

    • @MBeauty
      @MBeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's not a silly question! I use toners instead of box dyes because with toners, I am able to choose the strength of the developer (1.9%-3%) which just deposits the color without damaging it. The higher the % of hydrogen peroxide in the developer, the stronger it is (for example 9% can even lift it a few shades lighter). But with box dye, I have no way of knowing the % of developer it contains, some even use 6% and using that can damage hair that is already bleached. Other times, box dye, especially platinum/blonde contains lightener (aka bleach) which I don't need since I already achieved the lightest color and it would only cause damage. I basically only need to deposit pigment onto hair after bleaching once I achieved the level of lift I want and using toners ensures that I do that without adding anymore damage/lifting it.

    This is why you leave the color up to us colorist. We are professionals and we know how to mix and create colors so that you won’t get brass or a yellow that you do not want. Schwarzkopf is a wonderful color line, but left in an untrained hands it gives the line a bad reputation. Stop coloring your hair with professional colors, then posting on YT. If that’s something you want to do then review box or color from Sallys.
