Same experience on my build. I opted to repair spots in the floor rather than the whole floor.
In hindsight would you do it the same way or would you do the whole thing given you had to do it again?
Got a 72 c10 plow truck that needs cab mounts rocker panels and floor boards. Just did a patch job for now until summertime. Lookin good bud, keep up the great work!
Love to see these old trucks still working! Thanks for the support!
Loving the build man, keep the videos comin!
Thanks for your support!
Good work in worth doing. Keep it up
Thank you more to come!
I really think some people don't even think about it, they just put it in and done. I get your frustration. I just keep telling myself that these trucks were just that, trucks. They were patched together just to keep going. Just do it to your standards and I will watch and learn. Working on a 1970 myself. Turning it into my Grandfathers old truck.
That's definitely true and in many cases its good enough and better to keep them on the road than sitting and collecting duct waiting on "perfection". I too am learning and going out of my comfort zone as I go and try new things I haven't done before. Keep me posted on your progress as you go as well as any tips or tricks you learn!
Be careful with the whole new floor, I saw on another video you gotta cut off the inner rocker metal as it doesn't line up, saw it on another video.
Thanks for the heads up! I will be sure to research that if I go that route.
@@BarnBuiltFabrications yes take alot at video by MAYCO he mentions it didn't line up so he had to zip them off and reweld them on from what I can remember.
I’m going to second this opinion, never done a whole floor, but I have never gotten a patch panel that didn’t need work getting it lined up with factory lines.
For me, it would be a no-brainer to replace the entire floor and make it right but I always go the expensive route on my projects lol
That is the direction that I am heavily leaning because through experience what seems to be the cheaper route usually ends up being just as, or more expensive than doing it right the first time.
