I remember hearing this song for the first time as a kid. I was abused as a kid so I was sitting in the dark living room, alone, feeling empty. My family was probably fighting in the kitchen, I don't really remember as I didn't pay any attention to them anymore. It gave me a mournful feeling, like I'd lost someone or something important but I wasn't entirely sure what that was. Probably my childhood innocence and feelings of happiness and safety, and the feeling of having a family, of feeling alive. The feeling flooded into me like a river. I listened to it for maybe minutes, maybe hours, I'm not sure. Time no longer had any meaning to me. Nothing did but this feeling.
I was lonely and still is…I feel like an extra ball of fluff in my third grade class and the same today , in fourth grade. I just moved in a few years ago and I missed my friends with my heart tugged toward them. I feel like all my worries about my fears of dying without saying goodbye swish away from me. Just then, I realized that I’m not the only one feeling like a shattered vase that couldn’t be fixed bc of loneliness. So always remember, your not the only one in this world.
I downloaded a collection of classical music.. And this beautiful piece was the first song that played... It sounded so different, so heavenly, so simple yet extraordinary. Yiruma is talented... Best classical music so far... ❤️
