There is an updated model with different decals and it uses the BL5C battery and has a usb-c port. I don't know who sells it but I have seen it. Like you I have the old model, though the one I have you can't use AA batteries, as the terminals are missing.
this little guy still dominates the micro Arcade machine collection. There's such a fun variety of games. The My Arcade mini cabinet can't even get Mega Man or Atari right, yet they sell for more then this machine !!
