Polaris RZR Turbo Exhaust Shootout Single vs. Dual - Extreme UTV Tech

- On this episode of Extreme UTV Tech it is RZR Exhaust shootout time to find out which is better a Gibson Dual Exhaust or single exhaust on a Polaris RZR Turbo. We loved the single gibson polaris rzr 1000 exhaust we had on our 2014 race machine so they once again got the nod for the new rides. Rzr Turbo exhaust sounds a bit different as the turbo actually quiets down the exhaust. We installed the gibson dual exhaust on our 2017 Turbo and the single on our 2016 Polaris RZR Turbo. We then did in depth sound comparisons so you can decide which you would rather have on your machine. Also be sure to watch until the end to find out how you can win one of these kits for your machine!

I have been very pleased with my BMP. Dual outlets on one side. Sounds good at low throttle trail riding and awesome when you stand on to and open it up. Good value for a system.
I just don't like the looks of those systems
Best mod by far on any XP or XPT is to have the suspension upgraded. I did the Shock Therapy Stage 4 and the ride improvement is amazing. It is easy to drive to the limit of the stock setup, not so with the stage 4.
what does that entail, some tender springs?
8 new true dual rate springs with crossovers, matched to your machine weights and riding style. Complete teardown, rebuild and custom valving of your shocks. New front and rear sway bars. I was skeptical that it would be worth it but on future build it will be the first thing done, it is that good. Not to mention they offer outstanding service. I made the trip to AZ to have the work done and ride out west so we got to meet them and tour their shop. They have a video online of their shop tour, check it out.

A Gibson exhaust has been on my wish list since I bought my 2016 RZR 1000S. Only 250 miles on it so far. Need to tear-up some more dirt! I think the single exhaust would work for my application. Keep KRUUZN razor people!!

Love the clean look, most aftermarket exhaust don't look nearly as good since it removes the cover completely. Would choose the single if I was lucky enough to win!
Getting rid of that ugly plastic back cover for the stock exhaust is a much needed improvement for sure.
The Duals has a nice and look sick but I'd be happy with what ever you send!

Duals 100%. The look is awesome. If you have the money, regardless of the gains, I say enjoy what you want to buy. In the end, the opinion only matters to the one whose buying the parts.

They don't require anything extra, just disconnect battery, then reconnect after you install the exhaust so it can learn the new exhaust.

Me too! The crazy thing is they are not overly loud. We drove a few miles trail riding last night and it sounded great.

So off topic from video, but I have a question about the roll cage on the black one. With it being less talk it gives it the appearance of being less top heavy. Is there any difference in stability with the shorter roll cage, or does it just simply appear to be? Thanks.
It's heavier than the stock cage, but way stronger

Yes, I am running MRT Race Tires on both of my machines with Tire Balls and Love them.

My question is will the dual exhaust get in the way of my rear full bumper?
Doesn't bother my rear bumper, most are up above the exhaust
I choose neither. I doubt they add enough power to make up for the cost.. These are for people who want a different exhaust note or look. there is a lot cheaper pieces of jewelry to be worn. Keep it functional.
They add power, otherwise why would companies require aftermarket exhaust for their tunes?

They do not "add" power. The deleted cat eliminates restriction so the engine can breath better alowing it to produce more power with a tune and clutching.
You reckon the dual exhaust sounds about the same on the 16 turbo? Dual sounds better for sure

Hey brother, i new if anyone would give me a straight and correct answer it would be you! Im curious, i was planning to do and aftermarket exhaust on my '19 XPT. Well either an exhaust or possibly the cat removal on the stocker.. But either way this wont cause any problems with the machine as far as fueling goes? Dont need a tune or re-mapping any thing like that? I guess its true that it helps with turbo temps? As always love the videos and thanks for any help!
You don't have to have a tune but it helps.

I had the single gibson exhaust running a stage 3 aftermarket assassins tune and I couldn't wait to get rid of that loud ass exhaust.. couldn't hear myself think

The Gibson single is better in every way but still too loud. Would like to see comparisons with decibel meter used the way the Warden dose just before he hands us another fine for being over the limit. We would much prefer a very quiet muffler.

Just install. If you disconnect your battery and hook it back up it will relearn the new exhaust.

Inaccurate testing, the dinosaur will clearly cause excessive wind resistance, thus putting more strain on the engine & changing the sound.

Not everyone needs exhaust but it is a must have if you want to do some of the bigger tunes to get more power out of your machine.

Single sounded better on part throttle, Had more whistle to it. All sounded the same to me on the fly bys.
