The only problem I have with the show is Frenchie and Kimiko still going thru their baggage when we had 3 previous seasons of them going thru it. At least MM concord his Family Trauma and is managing his OCD.
Frenchie is my favorite character from The Boys and I'm fine with what they're doing with him at this point in the season. They wanted to be friends after season 3, and Frankly I'm getting sick of their "will they won't they" romance.
Honestly its better its a show, a movie trilogy isn't enough time for proper character development, it's not enough time to fit all story into one thing, much prefer the outcome that did happen.
@SuperMediaRunners I wonder who they would have cast too, it would be interesting to live in the universe to see the movies just to see how it all would have come together, the movies still would have been a hit anyway for many of the same reasons as the show.
@SuperMediaRunners I would imagine it would have had the same vibe comic movies like Watchmen and 300, and it probably would have done well, it would have been thought provoking at the least, but I don't think it would have ended up on the same level as the MCU, it would have been a product of its time, talked about for a few years until the larger scope of the MCU came into play.
I’m glad that The Boys got made when it did because I was getting sick of the super hero genre because how samey alot of MCU and DCU movies were getting.
@@SuperMediaRunners I’m happy that Seth Rogen and Eric Kripke managed to get it greenlit because I love The Boys and seeing how it tackles the issues of Superheroes being in the real world. I’m enjoying the new season regardless of people’s feelings on it.
Me too, but Honestly season 4 episode 5's A-Plot with the V-infused barn animals was a bit silly considering the super powered people involved. Like the compound v hamster russia trip felt a bit more stake heavy considering none of the people involved had no powers (which led to Hughie using temp V). But episodes 1 thru 4 felt more laser focused on fleshing out characters more for the final season. I'm also a big fan of Sister Sage, she is like the embodiment of anime villains who are always three steps ahead of everyone and interested to see what she is cooking up.
@@SuperMediaRunners yeah the barn animals were a bit goofy although I found the flying vampire sheep funny (accidentally predicted they were vampires as a joke.) Hughie’s dad carried that episode and I got really choked up. Sister Sage is an interesting character I’m curious to see if she is going to betray Homelander in some way or if Homelander is going to kill her to prove his superiority over her.
Yea. The whole "the boys has gone full woke" mentality is really stopping people from discussing the bigger picture and plans. Will season 4 be the best season after season 5 releases? No, but in retrospect, it will serve it's purpose in bridging to that finale. There have been great things and not so great things that I have noticed this season, but once we see the full picture, I'm sure it'll be worth it. And this is coming from someone who got bored of the Acolyte (again, not because it's "woke" but the writing and plot feels like young adult novel and less star warsy for my liking)
“This Is Gonna Hurt”, “The Innocents” and “The Bloody Doors Off”. As amazing as the show is, I still think about that failed movie, all the amazing set pieces that could’ve been. I hope that someone has the bright idea to at least leak the script of the first movie
I can definitely see The Boys as a Kickass style movie, those films had ridiculous gore, adult scenes and over the top action too. Was also a great satire of the super hero genre.
I think the show came at a great time. Right when we were probably getting sick of superheroes. At least I was. Good adaptation, tho quite different. Now, people love to hate on the source material ever since TH-cam shorts became a thing. I will say, both the source and adaptation have their strenghts and weaknesses. I think they're both good.
If they made The Boys into a movie back then, it would probably have been buried and lost. It can came at a perfect time when the general audience was getting more superhero content. Otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten MCU/DCEU jokes.
This videos great, I’m surprised it doesn’t have more views. I’m also surprised Seth Rogen was a fan of The boys comic, I love Garth Ennis books like the darkness but surprised the boys got traction from Rogen instead of the other books. Also surprisingly Seth Rogen was a fan of the invincible comic, even featuring him or one of his characters in a deleted scene from one of his movies dressed as atom eve
Thanks man, it means a lot seeing comments like this. And yea to think it just takes one guy who really likes something to turn it into a movie or show most of the time!
I'm glad that the show on Prime Video exist, but I doubt that the possible 2000s movie(s) would be as well written, have a ton of gore, and get more sequels due to large amount of source material.
“I heard there was gonna be a boys movie, but couldn’t find anything about it or any writers or directors contacted about being in it. Here’s a video about conjecture!”
Sounds cool but I'm glad they stuck with just a show. Not perfect to Garth Ennis' portrayal but that's a good thing. Most of the Boys aren't super powered, so the risk and stakes feel so much higher. And the Supes feel a lot scarier!!!!! And of course, everyone is having some crazy development. Development that wouldn't have probably not happened in The Boys Trilogy. Remember, the comic only made Hughie and Starlight likeable.
History could have been VERY different. Glad that they went with a show 😂
I'm sure we would've went to see it but yea glad the show happened
Feel like a movie, even a whole trilogy. Wouldn't have been long enough for the story

Absolutely. I'm wondering if they were sticking closer to the source material. Would be amazing to read a finished script of this!
@SuperMediaRunners I wonder who they would have cast too, it would be interesting to live in the universe to see the movies just to see how it all would have come together, the movies still would have been a hit anyway for many of the same reasons as the show.
Yea. As for the success, I'm curious how it would've performed in a pre MCU world.

Agreed. Who knows what would've happened to the property tho.

One of my favorite movies too! Especially if you get Matthew Vaughn's action set pieces
The Boys trilogy dose have a nice ring to it but I still love the show they can put much more hours to it now

This is rlly well made for a low sub channel good job bro

I totally agree 💯 source material is linked to the show in many aspects and both serve to tell different messages!

I am so sick of the MCU BS and have been for years, The Boys is a great step up and Im so glad for it
We honestly need a Firecracker Movie trilogy
Noir trilogy?
@@SuperMediaRunners Firecracker porn trilogy
Powers by Brian Michael bendis could very well be the next boys
It has a lot of potential and is a must read for the fans of the boys
Thanks for sharing I'll check it out!
@@SuperMediaRunners you definitely should
Didn’t that show go to play station?

That's true. Everyone super was basically just "super horny" or a "douche" which got old fast. I'm glad the show has been able to flesh out every supe
@SuperMediaRunners I think if the canceled movie did got made I imagine it would’ve probably been released in the early 2010s if it did got made
So how does the trilogy ends like the comic?
I hope it would've taken place exclusively around a single pile of rubble, like Dawn Of The Seven.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
After watching the hbomerguy plagiarism video it’s kinda made watching plagiarised videos so obvious now. It’s like a sixth sense
Thank God it got cancelled
I just wish I could at least see a script of what this wouldve looked like
