Try Dead Cat Tail Assassins it is a novella by a black author. It is soooo good. Get it from your library since it is out of your comfort zone. Good for you reading out of your usual genre's.
The weight of blood was very good. Mindred is a very good place to start. Parable of the sower is so amazing because some of the things she wrote about is happening now. Hoping you enjoy her. Tiffany has a new book coming out this year.
I hope you enjoy the books. I’m a fantasy reader and love the books featuring our culture. I recommend reading: The Monsters We Defy (Leslye Penelope) - It takes place during the 1920s and is a heist story. Lovecraft Country (Matt Ruff) - It takes place during the 1950s. HBO adapted it.
I was gifted fledgling for Christmas from my aunt. I am pretty much finished and I am absolutely loving it. I already love anything vampires so Octavia’s spin on it is very interesting. I hope you enjoy it!!!
You will definitely like Kindred, which is more to me like historical fiction with a bit of time traveling element. Reading something different is a bit unnerving not to know what to expect.
Kindred is my absolute favorite by Octavia Butler. Fledgling made me a bit uncomfortable, but I understand the message she was trying to convey. I can't wait to hear your thoughts.
Dawn opened me up frfr I tried a parable of a sower and it was too much for me at the time 😢 and well yeah probably still too damn much but dawn was that girl ! Ima read the second one this year
Hi! I'm kinda new to your channel, so don't know if you like romance, but Kimberly Lemming has some very cute/fun/easy to get into fantasy-romance books (spicy). Also, a novella might be fun for you to try: -The Haunting of Tram Car 015 by P. Djeli Clark -The Murders of Molly Southbourne bt Tade Thompson -Even Though I Knew the End by C.L. Polk
@@stace_d well, welcome. I just really got into romance late last year and have been obsessed lol. I will definitely be checking these out thank you so much

You’re welcome. 😊 Most people love fantasy…they forget Disney films are based on fantasy books. 😜
