  • How to cook Puran dhakar Authentic teheri !!

    For Teheri Masala Grind
    • 2-1 pcs cinnamon
    • 1 pc nutmeg
    • 2-3 pcs mace
    • 4-5 pcs cardamom
    For cooking
    • 750 gm beef - tehari cut (small pcs)
    • 2 cups polao rice
    • 1 cup mustard oil
    • 3 tbsp plain Yogurt
    • 2-1 pcs cinnamon
    • 3-4 pcs cardamom
    • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
    • 1 cup onion chopped/sliced
    • 2 tbsp ginger paste
    • 1 tbsp garlic paste
    • salt as needed
    • hot water as needed
    • 10-12 pcs green chilli
    Instructions
    • Grind cinnamon, nutmeg, mace,and cardamom together into a smooth powder.
    • Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add onion slice and saute until light brown.
    • Add beef mix well. Keep stirring for 2-3 mins
    • Add green chilies garlic paste and ginger paste and fry until the raw smell disappears.
    • Add the ground teheri masala and stir for 2-3 mins.
    • Add plain yogurt and salt as per taste and mix well
    • Close the lid and cook for 20 minutes until the meat become soft. Stir occasionally.
    • Wash polaw rice and keep it aside .
    • Now Remove only the beef from the pan, not the gravy.
    • Add rice to the gravy. Add green chili, cinnamon, cardamom and cumin seeds and fry for 3-4 minutes.
    • Add 4 cups of hot water and salt.
    • Stir and close the lid. Cook for 5 mins.
    • When the water is reduced a bit add the beef. Give a good mix.
    • Wrap the pan with aluminum foil paper and close the lid. Cook on low heat for 15-20 mins. Mix and keep it under low heat for another 10 mins.
