Great videos John. I'm about halfway to getting my ppl and seeing how it's done in 'real life' really puts the training into perspective, especially the RT conversations with the controllers. Keep up the good work
Excellent and very informative. I'm learning and remembering loads from your vids. I use to fly from BIG 30 years ago doing VORDME let downs there and NDB let down at Lydd. You are making me want to resume! My favourite two day flight was Fairoaks-Glasgow-Inverness- Edinburgh-Fairaoks in a PA28-160. Highly recommend it for the scenery of the Lake District and the view along the advisory route Glasgow-Inverness , simply stunning views.
The Flying Reporter . VOR to VOR routing, it was not too tricky except for wing icing on INV -EDB route as I entered isolated cumulus , told ATC and zig zagged around the CU solved that problem. Total flight time 10 hours. Will be one to watch with your production talents !
Interesting video, although I prefer the ones with more editing and context. I think professional grade editing and running comments set your videos apart from the mass of gopro flight videos out there. Thanks for sharing!
UPS1000 Hi, and thanks. I don't have a hood, ought to get one really. Of course, with an instructor I fly under the hood. Today, I really just wanted to practice my instrument approach, as my en route IFR is in quite good practice. With the offset ILS, even if I looked out the window, it didn't help all that much! There is a mount on the wing, but there was no camera attached.

thank you Nick. pleased you're enjoying the videos.
Fascinating stuff and nice precise flying! I'm almost half way through my IR and can't wait to fly my first full IFR x-country route!
It's a great feeling when you do.

Cool. Thanks for the feedback.
Excellent video. Is there a reason you did not use a hood? Also was that another camera on the leading edge of the right wing?
