@Preston Springer from the last time I saw her on tournament coverage a year and a half to two years ago till now, she and her boyfriend must have been hitting the gym hard every day, it shows, and she’s playing great.
@@ahhhmadXD that’s awesome, no wonder. She seems like such a dedicated, humble person and athlete, that’s the kind of person I personally want to root for, great to see her back in the states and winning.
Wow. Silver looked nervous enough to puke before Kristin's drive on 18. Such a solid performance. Probably my favorite tournament ever between FPO and MPO. Please stay in the USA Kristin and Silver.
Man, I'm a golfer, falling in love with disc golf! Amazing talent, amazing sportsmanship! It's awesome to be able to watch both men and women compete!! I must say, my favorites are Tattar and Conrad😁
What an exciting round and a well deserved victory for Kristin. I will be pulling for her at The Preserve. Her emotional release had me a little choked up. Kristin needed this victory and the FPO needs Kristin.
Enough to make me fall in love with disc golf all over again. Kristin's respect for Paige and Cat and her competitors and the sport are just inspiring. Been around a long time.. won my first tourney in 1980, and this sort of thing- expanded worldwide interest, and more diverse participation generally.... All bring disc golf joy. #spiritofthegame
So happy for Kristen! What a lovely speech after. Was great to watch and so inspiring. Crying happy tears for you. Sorry to Paige, hate to see those fumbles. Still a winner no matter. Always a champion.
If we are talking future. Everyone is forgetting about Eveliina and Henna. Eveliina is the higher rated out of the overseas trio, but Kristin is looking good by comparison recently. Plenty of non-english coverage of Eveliina and Henna to check out.
I've been waiting for Kristin to get back in the states after she took down the USWDGC in 2019. I feel like she's the only player who can consistently give Paige a run for her money. I know Cat won worlds, but she's just a bit streaky and Paige is always so consistent.
Clutch performance by Kristin! Big fan of hers since her breakout in 2019. I do admire Paige's drive and competitiveness but some of her more aggressive plays baffle me at times. Thanks for the coverage, GK, and commentary, Sarah and JK!
Wow I can't believe that was her first Pro Tour win and I had no idea this win would mean so much for her. She is such a beast and plays so well so consistently I didn't expect her reaction at all. I am so glad she is back on tour. Congratulations, Kristin!
great win for Kristin. So happy to see her playing over here. She's definitely my favorite FPO player. Great weekend on both sides tbh. I look forward to the Preserve next weekend.
That was another great finish. 🏁 The DGPT is really delivering some top notch competition this year and the coverage is rising to meet it. Hope to see Kristin and Silver again this fall to play Maple Hill and Smuggler's Notch; I have a feeling that those tourneys are going to be 🔥
Great to see Kristin getting her first DGPT. Sad to see her leave for Europe after The Preserve Championship. Hope to see her, Eveliina Salonen, and Henna Blomroos back in the US in the near future.
Right on. That's what I'm saying. How much better is the DGPT FPO field with Kristin, Eveliina, and Henna? Get all 3 of them over here and the division is lit up.
Congrats to all four who made the lead card on the final round. Great play. Sarah, it has to be weird commenting on your own round. Good job, it was fun watching Nate try and do it as well at world's.
Paige missing that putt on 17. She nails those 98% of the time. She's lost the last 2 tournaments on the last 2 holes...Congrats to Kristen though. That putt on 17 made PP nervous I guess.
PP has missed a few 4-5 meter putts, Elaine said on live coverage she struggles with that distance since she doesn't get enough spin with her putting style with these short putts and often leaks left (same happened on 13), I'm sure Paige can correct this mistake and come back fiercer than ever
She has way more power. Cat plays a lot of flippier shots and they overturn all the time. Kristen plays strong overstable plays like the MPO because she had the power for it. Way more consistent performance
Great commentary by two world champions. I was in the Minneapolis area, maybe 20 years ago, playing at Kaposia Park. My buddies and I were cleaning up our putts on a hole that couldn't be seen from the elevated tee. A beautiful drive came tearing around the corner, landing inside the circle, startling us. The stamp on the disc may have said "Psycho Clown." My friend told me that shot was made by the legendary Juliana Korver. I wonder if she can confirm this. To this day, we affectionately refer to Juliana as "Psycho Clown" and mention her whenever someone sends a booming drive up on us while we're on the green.
This is only the beginning, I think there’s at least 5 top European female players that can fill the top 10 of every FPO tournament easily. They’ve been locked down for over a year but once they’re in the states they’re here to stay. Tattar should be considered a warning by all the American players
Salonen and Blomroos finished place 2 & 4 in 2019 worlds. Last year they played 3 tournaments each in North America, worst placement was 4th. Both are definitely top players.
Sarah...You already know that you are certainly one of my "all time favorites" ... BUT, at my age, I remember Julianna when she was a youngster. I LOVE Y'ALL as a commenting duo !!!!! Keep up the fantastic work !!!! P.S. I'll be glad to teach you how to control a roller. That was one NASTY puppy on the Front.
Great coverage, thanks guys! One hopefully helpful critique is to make sure your ambient sounds are only from one mic. On hole 15 for sure you've got multiple audio sources conflicting with bad echo/reverb
Just found this. Always interested in disk golf since I saw my county park has a few holes on it. Idk what circle 1&2 mean. Some other terms. Love it tho. Congratulations Kristin Tattar!
Total respect to Page though. I'm a huge Tatar fan but I also love Paige. She made it a battle for the ages. The trouble for Paige (good for the sport) is that if the overseas trio can make it over to compete, then things won't be so easy. I still say Paige is the best, but when you have 3 to 5 players that can beat you on any given day, it gets tough to win everything. Just look at Mcbeth. Wins are getting pretty hard to come by with all the depth. Just brilliant stuff from both Kristin and Paige. And great commentary from Sarah and The Living Legend.
28:54 in case you forgot how freaking steep and far that putt was. C L U T C H. You could say she earned the win through hard work and perseverance and all that, but she *literally* earned it by making the putts that mattered.
Kristen takes home the Gold...and the Silver. 😜👏👏👏
Nice.
I'm not crying; you're crying. Lol.
Love Tattar. Had me choked up the there. Draining that eagle put was legendary!
That putt was absolutely huge, especially knowing how close Paige was. I love watching Kristin
This made me cry again rewatching it 4 months on. My favourite moment of the FPO 2021 season.
That post round interview was amazing! Kristin: new favorite FPO player
Yeah, amazing show of emotions there by Tattar. Matches an amazing performance on the course, capped off by that sniper putt on 17.
@Preston Springer from the last time I saw her on tournament coverage a year and a half to two years ago till now, she and her boyfriend must have been hitting the gym hard every day, it shows, and she’s playing great.
@Preston Springer she was professional crosscountry skier before she started discgolf. That gave her good physical background.

Digging Tattars game! Awesome shootout with the best women's player on the planet.
So happy for Kristen! What a lovely speech after. Was great to watch and so inspiring. Crying happy tears for you.

Wanted to add I loved watching all the ladies compete. Such amazing skill and talent combined with hard work. You all do great things.
She got a little teary eyed congratulations Kristin well played 🥳👏👏
Dammmmn. What a show! Tattar showing grace and respect in victory was amazing too. You could feel the emotions! Great coverage GK! THANK YOU
First time in my life was watching this sport. Now it's my fav. Congrats to Kristin!
Kristen is the one Paige should worry about in the future too .. her game looks clean , simple and elegant
If we are talking future. Everyone is forgetting about Eveliina and Henna. Eveliina is the higher rated out of the overseas trio, but Kristin is looking good by comparison recently. Plenty of non-english coverage of Eveliina and Henna to check out.
Not just one for Paige to worry about. Cat has confidence in her putts now which was the only difference between them.

I dunno about that. Paige has had some pretty inconsistent finishes this season...
