Sinful nature is heresy! After creating, God looked and said everything was good. God gave man free will and laid before him the outcomes of obedience and disobedience to his commands. A baby is not born sinful but is born in sin because the parents have sinned. We engage is willful sinning because sometimes we exercise selfish motives, just chose to rebel, and other times because the world system has been corrupted by the devil and people who decided to follow his evil ways thus oppress right/justice/ goodness. Jesus prayed for the disciples and those who would believe their message because He knew the world is not friendly to righteous and holy living (John 17). That is why God has made a provision for repentance and forgiveness through his son Jesus for everyone who genuinely wants to obey God's commands and shun evil. Each person is responsible for their sin and decision to repent and turn away from wickedness. We blame ourselves for our own individual sins, for God did not create us sinful and Adam and Eve are responsible for their sins just like you and me. Shalom
The Pharisees hated righteous holy living? No, the Pharisees hated sinners. Jesus loved sinners. This is why He was persecuted. He preached salvation. Pharisees wanted to be saved by their works. It’s the holy righteous living people who hate Christians because we preach grace.
I can see this mans frustration, months ago i came on this video and was so so angry at it. I have studied this and have come to see this sin nature is a different religion. A light came on one day when i felt to look up sin nature in a concordance and saw this is not a Christian word,. I began to feel a Holy common sense and thought wow im defending with my whole passion something not found in scripture. Since then the Chrisyain message has truly made me personally accountable and not God or a birth state. My true confession now is " i am a sinner, just me, real responsebility. it has been so hard to accept, but true
Amen Grant that's awesome that you can see this truth because many don't at all. I first got this understanding back in 2009 and was blown away and I thank the Lord for brothers like holdingfirmly(Mike Desario) and Kerrigan Skelly because they both explain how this teaching is false very well. Bless you dear brother.
Wow. I am in the same state as this. I was just talking about this. It is my own sin, not some nature I was born with. God led me to look up sin nature and original sin because I was struggling so much with Gods justice and a nature that people are born with and it did not seem just to me. I am so blessed to know and understand that Jesus has paid the price of my own sins. This has freed me in so many ways. Thank you so much for posting this.
@@October-qz2jv God bless you as I first came upon Kerrigan as well in my original search. My goodness this original sin or sin nature is heretical as it mimics the philosophy of the Gnostics. When I saw this it really freed me of my false perception of God. Now I can praise and thank God for Jesus Christ who saves me from MY sins. Anyway thank you 🙏
Grant if you are still a sinner then you would need to repent of your sin and become a saint. Here is something else that doesn't appear in the Bible OT or NT: No believer in God is called a sinner. They are all called saints. We were sinners but through faith we become saints. For an in-depth explanation on this see: www.removingveils.com/sinners-or-saints-cant-we-be-both/
@@removingveils5824 Yes I think I can agree with all of that. My perception is however that many make Sin a reincarnated substance from Adam, instead of simple disobedience . So that one can be repented of and the other is just fantasy. But not sure where you stand there
I see it!!!! God showed me as I studied the word. Praise be to God for free will and the ability to discern scripture correctly! There is so much power in the Word of God, but you must desire to know and do the truth to find it.
@@kathyern861 😂 it is called the gift of discernment God made the scriptures in a language we could understand. Btw we can discern the scriptures through the spirit of truth that will guide us to all truth and righteousness the holy spirit. Who told that you can't discern the scriptures?
@@Prince_of_war777Elias God spoke to His chosen scribes and they wrote down what God said to them - using the scribe's language - because that is all the scribe knew. In the Old Testament, the various scribes knew Hebrew, so they wrote down what God said in Hebrew. When God spoke to the various scribes in the New Testament - 99 percent of them knew Greek - so they wrote down what God said in Koine Greek. Later, other scribes have come forward down through the centuries to our day and time - and they read the copies of the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek scriptures - and translated them into other languages. No matter what language the scripture is written down on the page in - be it Hebrew, Latin, or English or any of the hundreds of other languages - God speaks to His people - who have the Holy Spirit living inside of them - and the Holy Spirit is their teacher.
This is what the Orthodox Christian church teaches. There is no sin nature. Sin is bascially perverted desires. Our will was only damaged at the fall, but we didn't fall completely away from synergy with God. Even the wicked still have a level of synergy with God just by existing. Human nature will never be evil or sinful because what God created is good. Calvin, Luther, Augustine were all wrong about Original sin. Most protestant Christians just don't understand this Gnostic heresy.
I was so relieved to learn that inherited guilt was not the historic Christian witness. I believe confusion comes in when someone with the title “saint” is assumed to be a perfect theologian (Augustine) and not knowing that ideas were debated and corrected, in this case by St. John Chrysostom especially. I converted from Calvinism to Orthodox. Have you seen Bishop Irenai’s (ROCOR) video on Patristic Nectar where commenters were calling him a heretic. smh
I just praise God that I discovered Mike's channel nearly a couple of years ago, for it has helped to put me on the RIGHT path. All my christian life, since 1976, I have in one form or another, had it pounded into me that we're "born in" sin. So this man's lessons are like gold to me.
I've been digging the last couple years and have changed my mind about a few things including this. I believe you are absolutely correct. And I have also noticed like you say there's hardly anyone else who sees this.
Amen, ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing, looks like a lamb but speaks as dragons, “you can sin and not die, we all sin because of a corrupt disposition or sinful nature" and so on.
I just found this video in 2022 and it is a blessing beyond blessings. Satan's conclusion of Adam and Eve was that "humans have a sinful nature". Don't stand WITH the ACCUSER - God is not a wrathful judge because he gave us Jesus to BREAK the chains of the Law of Sin = Death.
@@ShepherdMinistry In context of Ephesians 2:8-9 - the word "grace" as it is used here refers to God's gracious gift of saving faith. Grace describes the kind of gift. The gift itself is saving faith - which enables a person to believe that Jesus died for their sins. The phrase is "saved by grace through faith.."
Satan knew that Adam and Eve, prior to their sinful act, did not have the knowledge of good and evil. But, he also knew that they had a conscience and a will that enabled them to make a choice. In the act of doing wrong, Adam and Eve began to understand by experience, that what they did was wrong. Their consciences convicted them. They were filled with shame and hid from God.
It’s amazing to me that to say we have a sin nature is heresy when 1 John v 8 Teaches us that the sin he is talking about in this verse is not in the verb tense as in acts of sin but in noun singular tense as the nature of sin in which he says if you deny it the truth is not in you : so the question now becomes who is the one teaching heresy
John is actually addressing the heresy of gnosticism in that passage. They believed the flesh was completely sinful. Yet the spirit remained undefiled. They believed they couldn't sin essentially. That's what that passage is about. Just read further into 1 John 2:1. "My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."
Exk18:4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die. Sin is always a Personal Choice, it cannot be inherited, passed down, imputed or inbred into the flesh. The choice to sin in the beginning brought about human mortality because access to the tree of life was cut off. Gen3:22-24. Nothing happened to Adam's nature or in his genetics (DNA) the sons (and daughters) he begat afterward had the free will Choice to Serve God or not, as is clearly seen in the succeeding chapters of Genesis. God cannot Justly accuse you of sin until you choose to sin. Certainly the occasion of sin entered the world through Adam, because he was the FIRST man! But the 'death that resulted immediately afterward was 'Spiritual, not physical, otherwise Adam would have dropped dead there and then. Yet he remained alive in the flesh, under the curse of physical death (human morality, return to the dust, Gen3:19) as a result of being cast out of the Garden where he could have dwelled for eternity. So Rom5:12 is two fold: 'Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death(physical) spread to all men, because (or in that) all sinned. Rom5:12 BOTH Spiritual and Physical death entered the world through sin. We know that men do not fall over dead the moment they sin, but they DO separate themselves from God spiritually. (your iniquity has separated you from your God, Isa59:2) ALL men will die physically, Heb9:27, the 'death that spread to all men' is speaking of our human mortality, and also the spiritual death that is the result of sin. 'All Sinned in Adam' is a corruption of the text that took place in the 4th century when certain men translated the Bible into Latin. Clearly the occasion of sin is implied in the Greek quo, translated 'because. This passage cannot possibly mean, as theologians imply, that 'all men are born DEAD in sin and under condemnation, because that makes no distinction between physical and spiritual death. The Bible says: 'The soul that sins shall die', again, we know that ALL men die (pass-away through the process of time), so HOW can you be born 'alive and dead' at the same time? Physical death reigns over everyone, even those who do not sin, Rom5:14, the human body was made subject to the corruption of sickness and death as a result of the curse brought about by Adam's sin. Therefore the body must return to the ground (see corruption, 1Cor15:41-44) and be Raised as a New Spiritual body in the resurrection of the Just and unjust (Jh5:28-29) Condemnation is the result of Sin, Adam sinned, many followed his example, Rom5:15-16, not made sinners by birth, but CHOICE! Certainly his occasion of Sin brought about Judgment on all men, 'who sin', not all who are born, the passage doesn't say that! Rom5:18. So the conclusion is: For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Rom5:19 MANY NOT ALL! Just like 'Many will say to Me that day, Lord, Lord', Matt7:21. The Majority yes, but not all. Otherwise if ALL are made sinners by Adam, then ALL must also be made righteous by Christ, Universalism! All are born dead in sin in Adam, all are made alive in Christ. Foolishness of course, BUT unless you make a distinction in the Romans 5 passages between physical and spiritual death, choice and free will, you have man born a dead lump of Sin in a body that has no moral conscience or natural ability to seek God. The weight of Scripture denies this fallacy and calls upon man's 'reasonable response to seek His creator and make a logical Choice to Serve Him.Isa1:16-20, Rom12:1-2, Heb2:1-3.
clear as glass. augustine invented original sin becos he wanted to indulge in sin forever. everytime he lusts, he blames it on God and not himself becos its his sin nature that forces him to sin and not his choice.
Yes I totally agree here that our conscience does bother us yet people are in sin and want to keep it there for make excuses and purposely and forcefully look the other way and deny it and it adhere adhere agree to the lying demonic spirits that minister to them. That keep them stuck inside the overwhelming darkness that people are still in have never escaped. That's why the apostles taught the word 'clean escaped".
Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted by God; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren James1:13-16 What having a ‘supposed ‘Sin Nature means to man: Man is born in a fallen state because of Adam, lost image of God Your Natural desires and inclinations are Sin and Prove you have a ‘sinful nature Sin is a ‘Nature not a Choice and something you cannot Rule Over, ultimate consequence of being human It equates all Sins as the same and none are any big deal over another It makes Repentance (actually confession) a way of life, not a once and for all initial act of faith You will never entirely stop sinning but will sin less and less as you allow Christ to act for (through) you If you could stop sinning you would be as Righteous as God and could save yourself without Christ The Christian ‘Desires to do what’s right but constantly struggles with his flesh (sinful nature) falls short because his ‘desires are corrupted by a ‘sinful nature What James is saying: Sin is a Choice not a Nature, your desires given over to indulgence How can Sin be ‘conceived in our desires if it was present from birth? If so you remain a defiled Vessel If our Natural inclinations (desires) are sinful, passage would have to say: ‘Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his ‘sinful nature and enticed’ Rather it’s the ‘Desire (willingness to indulge self) that gives BIRTH to the sin and causes death. If the desire itself were ‘sinful why the Process described by James, the VERY fact we have ‘desires would inevitably lead us always into sin. But here we are presented with a CHOICE. Sinning less and less is a lawless gospel, its saying that a person can commit sins unto death less often and still be filled with the Spirit. Even if you are not committing vile sins of the flesh, by believing and teaching the Sinful Nature lie you condone sinful conduct in so-called believers. You are saying that God chose to give man a Nature inclined to evil and then holds him accountable for that evil! God WHO: ‘Is Light and in Him is no Darkness at all, and every good and perfect gift comes down from Him!’ Sinful Flesh: For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. Gal5:17 Flesh is flesh (SARX) and represents the Passions and Desires given over to Self-indulgence, when you have sold yourself into the Slavery of sinful passions, ‘Nothing good dwells in you’ Rom7:18, so the Solution to the ‘flesh lusting against the Spirit’ is: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Because: And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Gal5:16,24 NOW what’s your excuse? Even if the Passions and Desires are a ‘Sinful Nature, can’t it be Put to Death in Repentance in Christ so Sin shall no longer have Dominion over you, the body of sin done away, the corruption put off. Doesn’t man have a Choice? Can’t the ‘sinful nature be Sanctified out over time, or is it your forever excuse for messing up and committing sins unto death with impunity? BUT here is the Point of Departure, great divide with the Sin Nature Pundits. We say this MUST occur in the Process of Repentance Proven by deeds, the Sin Stops, the person Comes Clean with God and the filthiness of his flesh and spirit are Crucified with Christ, Put to death once and for all, the Bondage broken and the Convert ESCAPES the corruption that is the world through lust! Otherwise he will NEVER Stop sinning and will also NEVER inherit the Kingdom of God. (more excuses or obedience, its your choice)

Under the guidance and control of the Holy Spirit, the powers of the missionary of the Lord are to be put to their very highest use. It is thus that man may become a laborer together with God. All whom God has endowed with reasoning powers may become intellectual Christians. God has given abundant evidence of the truth of his word, and he requires that those who would be counted as the followers of Christ should study the Scriptures, that they may be able to give to every man a reason of the hope that is in them, with meekness and fear. He has not required any one to believe without evidence. Let the inquirer after truth put to the stretch his mental powers in diligent study of the word of God. To neglect this duty is to place the soul in peril of eternal death. Each one is required to understand the conditions upon which eternal life depends. We must know what saith the Lord, that we may be able to live "by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord." We cannot afford to have another settle questions of such momentous import as those concerning our soul's salvation. We must open the Scriptures for ourselves, searching the word of God prayerfully, that we may know the truth as it is in Jesus. We cannot afford to trust to the ministers, to follow idle traditions, to subject our souls to human authority, but we must know for ourselves what God has said. We are to be laborers together with God, and we must know, we must be determined to know, what are the conditions upon which we may become heirs of salvation. If we neglect this important duty, we shall die in our sins.
God says, “there is no one who does good, not even one.” Why?For more details, please watch the sermon of the Light of Wisdom Church, welcome everyone to study and discuss together. Video “Repenting Sins and the Sin Nature | I Am the way, the truth and the life 04” If you think it makes sense, we must not only believe it ourselves, but also spread it to more people. Evangelism is not only the job of pastors, but also the responsibility of every believer. This is also the aspect that the Lord values most when ascending to the kingdom of heaven.
I agree completely with Telling man he is "Totally Depraved", & unable to do anything about his Sinful behavior, Encourages Immorality, shoots down personal responsibility, a lack of discipline & self control results with souls going to hell.
No, it actually encourages people by telling them the TRUTH. If I slip up and have an impure thought, I don't have to worry about losing my salvation and going to hell because God is merciful. The apostle Paul told us that the law is spiritual and that we are incapable of following it 100% because we are in the flesh. The law is there to show us that we've sinned and fallen short of God's glory. It paves the way for the gospel. Jesus overcame so we don't have to. It's full reliance upon God's mercy/grace and it's full acknowledgement of our sin through repentance and faith in Jesus.
@IvanVlogs Hello, could you please explain John 14:21? I have just come upon your channel. THANK YOU! I have been struggling with this issue and false teaching for YEARS. In my heart it always seemed so contradictory. For example Jesus famously told the prostitute about to get killed: "Go and sin no more." but the Holy Spirit was not yet upon mankind and Jesus had not yet died as a sacrifice for sin. So why would He tell her to do something He knew was impossible? Answer: He did not.
Man's total depravity refers to man's inability to choose God by themselves, for they are spiritually DEAD (lost eternal life) since Adam's fall... Mankind however, are capable to do both good and evil (before the fall, man could do only good, and knew no evil)... Even though we have the Holy Spirit with us we may still sin, because we, in this flesh, are not yet fully glorified... our glorification comes when the LORD Jesus raptures us, or when He returns. Neither Be Troubled
Not so, Gal 5:19-21 clearly states "I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" He was talking to the Church not preaching in the street.
@@GraceBride if man before the fall could only do good, how did they fall in the first place and disobey God? Hmm... Your interpretation is very flawed and I hate to burst your bubble there is no rapture of the church.
@@nickdreyer4605 1. Your father the devil deceived the mother of mankind to disobey Yahweh. 2. There is indeed NO rapture of the church, because there is NO "church" in the Greek and Hebrew Bible.

Many like to use this scripture to mean that many were made sinners because of Adam. And they go further to include ALL of mankind. It is a good try to justify our continued sin, but the next part of the same verse puts a stop to it: For the obedience of Christ to make the many righteous must, by the same argument, include all men. This then, by this argument, promotes the false doctrine of universalism, which most reasoning people know to be false according to scripture.
@@removingveils5824 thank you for establishing the truth, if everyone is made sinful by nature because of Adam that means that God must save everyone unconditonally in his love, uneversialism ... their false heresy of sinful nature is easy to refute
@Antigua Zuell i agree to some extent to what you are saying... and we can and should change for the better... but our nature is still geared toward sin... until we are perfected it is the burden we will bear... paul spoke of this wretched nature we have-->[Rom 7:15-20 KJV] 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that [it is] good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
1. Every unbeliever has one nature only, the nature inherited from Adam. The Bible describes the unregenerate man as “The man without the Spirit” (1 Corinthians 2:14) - man as he is by nature and apart from Christ. 2. When an unbeliever believes and is born again, he receives a completely new nature. He received his old nature by his natural birth and through his union with Adam, but by his second birth he receives a new nature through his union with the last Adam (2 Corinthians 5:17). Thus, he has two natures within - the old and the new. 3. When we are born again we receive the new nature, but we do not lose the old nature. It is important to note this. While we are in the body we shall never lose the old Adamic nature; there will always be two natures within us - the old and the new. 4.These two natures within every believer are the exact opposite of each other. One is wholly bad and the other is wholly good. 1. THE OLD NATURE Every child born by human generation has the old nature, which in the New Testament is sometimes called the “old self”; it is also described as “the sinful nature” - look up Romans 6:6; 7:18; 8:8; Ephesians 4:22; Colossians 3:9. 1. The old nature is Adam’s nature. God created Adam with a sinless nature. Then sin entered, and Adam fell and became spiritually dead and in bondage to Satan. The result? - look up Romans 5:12. 2. The old nature, therefore, is an inherited nature. We receive our nature from our parents, who received theirs from their parents……so there is our family tree! Not one of us should be proud of our ancestry - compare John 3:6 with Psalm 51:5(a). 3. The old nature is a fallen nature. God says this - look up Genesis 1:26-27; 2:16-17; 3:12-24, and compare Ecclesiastes 7:20; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:10,23. 4. The old nature is wholly corrupt and evil. Look up Genesis 6:5, 11-12, and compare Isaiah 1:5-6 with Jeremiah 17:9; Mark 7:21-23. See how the “old self” is described in Ephesians 4:22. 5. The old nature is weak and frail. It is marked by infirmity, sorrow, weakness, sickness and death - look up Job 10:20; 14:1-2; Psalm 90:9-10; Isaiah 40:6-8. 6. The old nature is unchangeable. We can do nothing to improve or change it; it can be educated or dressed up, but it is still evil and corrupt - look up Job 14:4, and compare Jeremiah 13:23. 7. The old nature is condemned by God. God has pronounced the death sentence against our inherited evil nature - Romans 8:3. 2. THE NEW NATURE The moment we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ we are born again and we receive a new nature. What is this nature like? 1. The new nature is an entirely new nature. It is not the old nature improved or patched up - look up 2 Corinthians 5:17. 2. The new nature is the divine nature. It is the very nature of God Himself - look up and compare John 1:12-13 (notice the last three words) with 2 Peter 1:3-4. This new nature within is the very life of the risen Lord who is upon the throne of God, and this life is imparted to us by the Holy Spirit. 3. The new nature is a spiritual nature. Compare John 3:6 with 1 Corinthians 15:45-50. 4. The new nature is absolutely holy. This must be so if it is the divine nature. 5. The new nature cannot sin. What does 1 John 5:18 mean? It means: first, that one who is born again does not habitually sin; it also means that that which is born of God cannot sin - compare 1 John 3:9. Why do Christians sin, then? Because of the old nature! 3. THE CO-EXISTENCE OF THE OLD AND THE NEW NATURES 1. Both natures co-exist in every believer. Within every Christian is “the old man” and “the new man”. The Bible does not teach, nor is it possible for anyone to experience, the eradication of the old nature. The old Adamic nature will be in us until the Lord comes and bestows upon us a body corresponding to our new nature (Philippians 3:20-21). 2. Both natures are in constant opposition. Compare Romans 7:19-24 with Galatians 5:17. 3. Both natures produce an entirely different kind of fruit. Look up Galatians 5:19-22, and notice “the acts of the sinful nature” (verse 19), and “the fruit of the Spirit” (verse 22). 4. Both natures must be differently treated. Here is the way of victory over the old nature!:- 1. The old nature must be starved; the new nature must be fed. Look up Romans 13:14. Read an evil book and you feed the old nature; read God’s Word and you feed the new nature. 2. The old nature must be “put off”; the new nature must be “put on”. Look up and compare Ephesians 4:22-24 - “put off” (verse 22), “put on” (verse 24); Colossians 3:8-10 - “put off” (verse 8), and “put on” (verse 10). 3. The old nature must be counted as dead; the new nature as alive. Look up Romans 6:11, and compare Galatians 2:20. When Jesus died, in the purpose and estimate of God He put to death our old nature. Is our old nature, then, actually dead? No - but we are to reckon it so and treat “the old man” as dead and buried! In Romans 7:24-25 the writer cries out in despair, “Who will rescue me?” and he answers his own question, “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” Now look up and dwell deeply upon Romans 8:12-13 friarrodney_burnap@yahoo.com
The sin in man lies in his mind not his physical flesh. If it did then Christ by coming in the likeness of sinful flesh would have committed sin. But we know that Christ did no sin. Therefore sin is not human nature but a choice made in the mind to not subject ones self to God. Our bodies are AFFECTED by sin in that we are tired, hungry, thirsty, angry, emotions, feelings etc. Which is not sin but can lead to sin (this is SINFUL FLESH/NATURE) Christ was hungry, tired, angry, cried, felt betrayed, lonely yet without sin. Why? from a babe he knew how to choose good over evil and he had the divine nature dwelling in his mind. Christ's flesh was the same as our flesh. We get the opportunity to have the divine nature/spiritual mind when we are born again. When we through fellowship of the spirit choose no longer to remain in sin in this present age. For if we have the spiritual mind we will be subject to the laws of God. Anything less will be the carnal mind which is enmity and death.
I guess your brain isn't flesh then. Your thoughts are part of your mind, you can't separate them. This teaching is truth and error mixed together. Therefore makes it a false teaching.
Jesus flesh wasn't corrupted. He was born from a virgin. He did not have a physical father. In order to commit sin, it requires a mind that has a compulsion to sin.

In sin did my mother conceive me. Says the MOTHER was sinning not the child.i was conceived in sin by railroad tracks ( guy and my mom ) not married. The Conception was in sin, NOT THE CHILD.
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 6:19 We don’t have to commit a sin, we are sinners just by our very existence. Because we have a sin nature. We are unaware of most of the sins we commit. Our default setting is to sin.
I'm confused. I thought that the sinful nature is what was developed after the fall and the reason why we needed a Savior. And that Jesus died for our sins to reconcile us back to God, and give us the Holy Spirit to help us live holy lives.
I thought the same thing as you did, but reread Romans chapters 5-8 CAREFULLY. You will find the answer in those chapters, and the Holy Spirit is given to the disciples of Christ by doing what Jesus instructed: *"If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me." (John 14:15-24)* Jesus told His disciples to keep His commandments BEFORE receiving the Holy Spirit too! Furthermore, *"And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” (Acts 5:32)* Obedience is required to receive the Holy Spirit, so this demonstrates that living holy lives BEFORE receiving the holy spirit is possible! Although, it is still important to be led by the Holy Spirit and continue to keep the commandments Jesus gave us. There are other circumstances where people receive the Holy Spirit too! There is a great deal of deception, so look for the truth. Just read what the scriptures plainly says, and NOT another pastors/preachers interpretation. The majority of them generally tell people what they want to hear so that they fill their churches sadly. Evaluate yourself with what the Bible says too. I no longer blindly trust what the majority of churches preach today. Please read your Bible and MEDIATE upon it. Pray to Jesus too! He doesn't want anyone to be lead astray. Reading Romans chapter 5-8 will definitely help you SEE. *Lord bless you and I hope this helps you!*
Reflect, take accoutability people. There are spirits that hide within our vices that entice us. Ask God everday for guidance, ask for his armor, his shield and sword.
Very thought provoking but it fails to address one major point. “You Must Be Born Again!” Why? If man has the ability to obey the righteous requirement of God if he so chooses then why did The Father send The Son? What about The Law? Are we saying that there’s a such thing as a human that kept The Law because he took God at His Word and obeyed it? Can’t be true because that would void the necessity of Christ. “The wages of sin is death.” Has anyone ever met a person who hasn’t violated that scripture? And since nobody could do it right doesn’t that point to the internal nature of man? A gorilla can’t fly an airplane. Why? Because he chooses not to or because it’s not in his nature? Sure, blaming my sin on my sin nature is quite the cop out. I didn’t have to do it! But aren’t we all sold under sin? Catholicism injected many false doctrines into the church and many of its practices are in direct opposition to scripture. And boy am I going to excavate the writings of Augustine. Just to see how this influential man’s doctrine infiltrated me as a biblical Christ believer. I think even the word “Protestant” is a deceptive byproduct of those who attempt to stand for the gospel. I really don’t waste my time “protesting” Catholicism so how am I a Protestant? Bigger fish to fry. I think that after a tweak or two your video teaching is revolutionary. It really only takes one man to challenge the so called norm and many theories come tumbling down. I really like this conversation!
The man sold under sin has died in the baptism of Christ. We were once all sold under sin. That is correct and yet that concept is a completely different concept from hereditary depravity. However, Romans tells us we die to the law and are thereby set free from it-from the punishment and the commandments. Yet the law is not evil and that is why the pure part of the law minus the bodily requirements still lives on in true Christians because now we share the nature of God again. We are born of his Spirit, again. The first time we sin we die spiritually. The law could never give life. Life and righteousness are only found In Jesus Christ. The only way to escape being sold under sin is to repent of all sins and believe that Jesus is the sin of God and believe and do what he taught.
Oh, a non-born again person can obey God's law. Problem is - he cannot obey every single law from the moment he is born to the moment of his death. The moment he fails to obey one of God's laws, he is guilty and must be punished for breaking this law. Every time he breaks one law, it becomes easier and easier to break another law. Pretty soon, his sins are piled up pretty high.
It points to the internal hatred of the devil towards God. Sin comes from the devil ultimately. We are created in God’s image and likeness, yet loved death.

18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness[g] leads to justification and life for all men. 19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. Romans 5:18-19 Therefore as ONE TRESSPASS led to condemnation for ALL MEN The doctrine of original sin that you put forth is an incredible strawman to that of what is actually traditionally believed. Of course sin is a choice, but the fact that it is a choice is the entire point! If I have a choice to sin (especially if left to my own devices, I will almost always choose that sin over righteousness) then it is therefore within my nature to sin. God cannot sin and sin is therefore not a part of his nature. If you claim that man has no sin nature then it is very possible and probable that at least one man led a perfect life and had no need for the savior, the God-man Jesus Christ, which is directly in opposition of what the bible teaches. As is outlined in Romans 3, ALL have sinned, no one does good, we all need Jesus salvific gift of life. One's nature is not something that changes by doing good or evil. It is only through being born again through the miracle of God's death on the cross that one can find freedom from sin, not just by simply choosing not to do it. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8 The greek word for 'to have' in this context (ἔχομεν (ehomen)) does not simply mean "to have committed in the past" but instead it means to hold, possess, or carry. If one claims that they, within themselves does not posses sin, they are a liar.
If I no longer have a sin nature, what was Paul referring to in Romans 7:23 when he wrote: “ … but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin which dwells in my members..”
@@austinbrea6460 Wrong. Chapter 8 is talking about the mind that is "set on the flesh"; not the "carnal mind". That does not appear in that chapter. You have extrapolated it from the phrase "the mind that is set on the flesh". The operative term in that chapter is not the mind but the "flesh".
@@CSUnger 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. The carnal mind does not appear here? What Bible are you reading? That is ignorance
@@austinbrea6460 That's a translation. The point is not the mind but where the mind is set; what the mind is set on. The mind is not inherently sinful; the "flesh" is, but, of course, we then have to identify just what the Apostles were referring to when they referred to "the flesh".
The last verse Romans 7 with my mind im a Slave to sin or servent but with my flesh a slave to sin. There is a part of you who wants to do good and a part of you that wants to do bad. Experience alone should tell you that..
Be Holy for I am Holy, Be perfect for I am Petfect. I agree with this video and personally beleive that sinful nature is work of Satan. People dont have sinful nature, they have sin and demons and have to workout their salvation and consecrate themself through repentance, healing and deliverance.
nobody says that one has never sinned in the past, what Pastor Mike defends is that man has the capacity to live without sin if his intelligence is illuminated by the power of God who delivered him from sin and of death
Genesis 4: 7 Sin lies at the door, and its desires are towards you: but you rule over him. If nature was corrupted it will mean that God cannot command any commandment because man is unable to obey. Ecclesiastes 7:29 God made men upright; but they looked for a lot of detours. Matthew 5: 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God! the evil heart of man coming into a corrupt world filled with ignorance, human nature has the capacity to live pleasantly before God if it is enlightened by divine revelation, this concerns those who call themselves Christian, because the Christian was born again, there is no longer a heart that corrupts, not the nature, because the nature have the possibility to choice God word
The heart is corrupted because of sin, man is responsible if it is nature man is not responsible, if he is not responsible it is anti-biblical and anti-juridical

You are right that Augustine struggled with lust, but later became celibate. But of course, the Scripture does teach original sin. Read Psalm 51 and Romans 7. Jerome, not Augustine, translated the vulgate. I'm afraid there were more inaccuracies.

The one question that pops in my mind, if I have no sin nature? Why am I “born in sin, shaped in iniquity and come to the world speaking lies”. For that is what the Bible says. Augustine as he got older changed his mind. He rejected his previous Free Will Defense position. That came with learning, age, and wisdom for that age. Plus you can't have light without shadow. Maybe if on some possible world where the sun shines all the time, but not on Earth. Ultimately, everything falls short including people's self righteousness, including yours.
1 John 1:8 says no man is without sin. Jesus is the only sinless one, everyone falls at some point, and not just once. When you are made new in Christ, you become much less sinful, but no matter who you are you will still sin again. How can these be true if we dont have a sinful nature?
Where there is no law there is no transgression. By works of the law shall no man be justified for by the law is the knowledge of sin. And sin shall have no more dominion for you are not under law but under grace. The strength of sin is the law (not grace). Jesus nailed the law with its demands to the cross. So to say “one cannot obey God (they mean the law, not God) with a sin nature” yes, this is exactly correct. No one could obey the law. God is not ASKING us to obey the law. He is asking us to show mercy as ones now under the law of liberty. For the law of the Spirit of life hath set us FREE from the law of sin and death. The law was given so that EVERY mouth would be stopped. So to call God “unjust” for giving us a law we could not keep is BLASPHEMY against God. He says that’s EXACTLY WHY He gave us the law. So that sin might become utterly sinful. But the Pharisees failed to be counted righteous because they sought righteousness through the law & not through FAITH.
I would have to disagree with this video, scripture says we are born sinners. Which means that we must have a sinful nature. This in no way changes the fact that we have free will. We are born sinners, yet God does not hold us accountable for those sins. We are not held accountable until the age of accountability. We have free will to accept God and live for Him or accept our own sinful natures desires and live for satan. That is the only two choices and since scripture says we are all born sinners, then we come into the world owned by satan. Just as Paul taught, thank God for Jesus Christ who can and will deliver anyone that is willing to ask Him to and obey Him and resist satan which is part of our flesh nature. What you are preaching is that you can save yourself by your free will. That is completely wrong, without Jesus Christ you will die in your sins. We are all sinner, everyone of us and only by His spirit in us are we able to resist our sinful nature that we are born with. Psalm 51:558:3
Wrong. You are not born a sinner ; Gen1:27, Deut 1:39, PSLAM 139: 13-14. Many more verses you should read too. God doesn't create evil , people choose to do evil. Adam wasn't born a sinner, Adam chose to sin.

It's clear that it is to make righteous. Think of it this way-when God created He spoke the world into existence and it stood fast by the word of His mouth. If we are declared righteous in His sight-is not this declaration efficacious in that we are recognized as righteous in His sight? This whole idea that justification by faith-which is a Latin term found no where in the Greek lexicons-is a declaring of a change of legal status which came from Martin Luther, John Calvin, and other Protestant reformers-both of them unsurprisingly admirers of Augustine. Yet, you will find no where that righteousness by faith is merely a declaration of a change of legal status. These are remnants of Romanism that still infected the Protestant Reformation that men and women like John Wesley, Ellen White, and others sought to remedy.
@@bobthrasher8226 The word justify means to ‘set right’ so if we have a mind that distrusts God but yet we place our trust in Him-then we are recognized as set right or seen as justified. Thus, in order for us to be branches connected to the Vine whom is Christ we must no longer wavering given over to a spirit of fear but to a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind that we may be justified-set right-in the Vine whom is Christ.
@@caleschnell Yes, I understand and agree in most instances - particularly Romans. @@bobthrasher8226 Hmm, I see it as a heart justified in the sight of God made complete by a work of faith. The word φύσις refers to a condition of birth. Gentiles didn't do what is right all the time; in fact, the gentiles were known for their debauchery and depravity, but the fact that all gentile nations had such things as legal systems and laws reflects that they had some sense of the Divine goodness. Inasmuch as they behaved rationally, they conformed to the law. In order for society to function properly, there must be some degree of conformity to the law of God. But he does not say that they always do the things in the law.
+Beaux Hargrove No it doesn't its Phyo, to spring up, produce, as in Lk8 where the seed 'sprang forth' but was coked out or withered. No, Nature is Physics of man, that grows by progression, its not set in stone at birth as evil, that's Gnostic teaching from Rome

Yes, there is a sort of sin nature. It's called Iniquity/Lawlessness (English), Anomia/Adikia (in Greek), and Avon/Aven (in Hebrew). Sin is a state/condition, where the inner man has a compulsion to diverge from the love of God. It's a result of spiritual alienation from God, which is from Adam, it is the naturalistic human condition. It is the old man. Jesus gives us the new man with the impartation of the holy spirit. It is the redemptive work of God, a work of restoration, of reconciliation. You can't have a doctrine of salvation without a doctrine of depravity. You can't have reconciliation without alienation. You can't have restoration without corruption. You can't have a renewing of the mind. You can't have justification without condemnation, or sanctification without some sort of unholy state. The bible just doesn't work without a doctrine of depravity. Sorry.
Yes alienation from God and to be in condemnation because of sin is biblical that’s what the Bible says , but to go the extra step and say Sin is from Adam and the naturalic human condition is the adding to the word. Your conflation is exposed.
If the a sinful nature causes us to sin and move away from Gods love how did Adam sin before he knew sin. Wasn't Adam created in the Image of God and it was Good?
No one in this this video is denying depravity of sin. They just are teaching you arent born in that state. No one is born with a sinful nature. A sinful nature is developed because people choose sin, from which we need to be set free by Jesus.
Okay so paraphrasing, Romans 5:19 states the many were made sinners by the actions of one and the many will be made righteous by the actions of Jesus. Although let’s take notice of the words the many. It does not say all. That’s important. So, what are we being saved from? What is the problem? We learn in chapter 7 that we were once alive apart from the law. So here we see that the written law is part of the problem (yet we learn it is not not evil). The Bible then says we died once we sinned under the law. But if we died, how are we still living? Well, we live by mean of the flesh, so we must have died some other way. We died spiritually (Romans 7:14). Romans tells us we were “living” in the flesh” (7:5). So, under the law we lived by the flesh ONLY. Anyway, it goes on to states we have to die AGAIN to be set free from the law of sin and the written law and the flesh. But the second time we die, we come to life in the Spirit. It is all in Romans 7 and the surrounding chapters. Please read. Also I’m seeking true Christians!! Are you anywhere in NJ?
@Madison 07 yes, Jesus and his apostles all taught baptism for salvation. Colossians 2:11 states in him you were circumcised by a circumcision made without hands by the putting off of he body of flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, having been BURIED with him in BAPTISM, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God. May I say two more things here. I’m glad you commented because I though I had deleted parts of my response above and didn’t. Secondly, Jesus did not receive the Father’s Spirit until after he was baptized, establishing a pattern. Btw, true faith leads to obedience, but obedience out of love and led by the Spirit.
What an embarrassingly disingenuous comment to make about Mike's understanding of the Bible. His knowledge and insight regarding scripture is astounding. People who disobey the Lord and habitually and willfully sin; commit adultery, masturbate to porn, get drunk, fornicate, lie, steal, bear false witness etc., won't inherit the Kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). Mike's sermons are the truth and the truth convicts a person's conscience. In most cases, a habitual and willful sinner, that is one who is not willing to give up their bad behavior through a contrite heart and a true repentance, usually gets offended by Mike's sermons. As Mike always said,; "Get out your Bible, blow the dust off and dig deep." When listening to Mike 's videos open your Bible too. You'd be amazed how very much he understands the Bible.
@@oldman9150 thank you for your concern, it's one thing to know what the Bible says, but it's quite another to understand what it means. Have a good day sir.
I agree with what you are saying thats why I hold to the orthodox position ancestral sin man isnt born with a sinful nature but a fallen one that suffers the consequences of adams sin which is sufferings, death and inclinations to sin. Adam didnt fall because of a sinful nature and babies arent born with it.
While this preacher taught a works based Gospel, he was completely right on being born incorrupted, living sinless and also on this Wesley and Pelagius were both way closer to the truth than Calvin, even though I take Wesley over Pelagius
I don't believe we have a sinful nature. Yes, we are inclined to sin because it's all around us, but that has to do with influence, not nature. But we are still guilty of Adam's sin and thus need our debt paid.
@@victorntwari2332 That's the result of being in Adam. What about people who are in Adam while they are alive? Believers also possess a body that will die, yet they are different than unbelievers. What's the difference?
There's so much darkness in that sinful nature doctrine...
It's the care agenda of the enemy of humanity. Led by USA pulpit industry personality Cult. All of them.
Shalom
I like your answer….Jesus said you must be born of water and sprit…

Grant if you are still a sinner then you would need to repent of your sin and become a saint.
Here is something else that doesn't appear in the Bible OT or NT: No believer in God is called a sinner. They are all called saints. We were sinners but through faith we become saints.

Have you seen Bishop Irenai’s (ROCOR) video on Patristic Nectar where commenters were calling him a heretic. smh
I agree the sin nature is man made just as Calvinism is man made.
How so
Gnosticism which gave birth to OSAS and “sinner saved by grace “. Jude was correct… they use grace as a excuse to sin( verse4)

Amen! Those who know the truth ought to stick together! Anyone in NJ?
Satan's conclusion is that he can tempt man, and man cannot withstand every temptation that comes his way.
So you aren’t saved by grace alone ?

@@tomgregory687 What do you want me to understand from the use of this verse that you presume that I do not already understand?
Rom5:12 BOTH Spiritual and Physical death
entered the world through sin. We know that men do not fall over dead the
moment they sin, but they DO separate themselves from God spiritually. (your
iniquity has separated you from your God, Isa59:2) ALL men will die physically, Heb9:27, the 'death that spread to all men' is speaking of our human mortality, and also the spiritual death that is the result of sin. Rom5:18. So the conclusion is:
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
Amen. Very Clear. Rom. 5:14 NKJV Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those Who Had NOT SINNED.....
clear as glass. augustine invented original sin becos he wanted to indulge in sin forever. everytime he lusts, he blames it on God and not himself becos its his sin nature that forces him to sin and not his choice.
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren James1:13-16
What having a ‘supposed ‘Sin Nature means to man:
Man is born in a fallen state because of Adam, lost image of God
Your Natural desires and inclinations are Sin and Prove you have a ‘sinful nature
Sin is a ‘Nature not a Choice and something you cannot Rule Over, ultimate consequence of being human
It equates all Sins as the same and none are any big deal over another
It makes Repentance (actually confession) a way of life, not a once and for all initial act of faith
You will never entirely stop sinning but will sin less and less as you allow Christ to act for (through) you
If you could stop sinning you would be as Righteous as God and could save yourself without Christ
The Christian ‘Desires to do what’s right but constantly struggles with his flesh (sinful nature) falls short because his ‘desires are corrupted by a ‘sinful nature
What James is saying:
Sin is a Choice not a Nature, your desires given over to indulgence
How can Sin be ‘conceived in our desires if it was present from birth? If so you remain a defiled Vessel
If our Natural inclinations (desires) are sinful, passage would have to say: ‘Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his ‘sinful nature and enticed’
Rather it’s the ‘Desire (willingness to indulge self) that gives BIRTH to the sin and causes death.
God WHO:
‘Is Light and in Him is no Darkness at all, and every good and perfect gift comes down from Him!’
Sinful Flesh: For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. Gal5:17
Flesh is flesh (SARX) and represents the Passions and Desires given over to Self-indulgence, when you have sold yourself into the Slavery of sinful passions, ‘Nothing good dwells in you’ Rom7:18, so the Solution to the ‘flesh lusting against the Spirit’ is: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Because: And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Gal5:16,24
NOW what’s your excuse?
Nevertheless, the strength of sin is the law. We overcome sin by grace.

If you think it makes sense, we must not only believe it ourselves, but also spread it to more people.

Many like to use this scripture to mean that many were made sinners because of Adam. And they go further to include ALL of mankind. It is a good try to justify our continued sin, but the next part of the same verse puts a stop to it:
For the obedience of Christ to make the many righteous must, by the same argument, include all men. This then, by this argument, promotes the false doctrine of universalism, which most reasoning people know to be false according to scripture.

@@davidcrane6593 no that’s talking about before being a Christian Roman’s 7 not sinful nature
1. THE OLD NATURE
Every child born by human generation has the old nature, which in the New Testament is sometimes called the “old self”; it is also described as “the sinful nature” - look up Romans 6:6; 7:18; 8:8; Ephesians 4:22; Colossians 3:9.
2. THE NEW NATURE
The moment we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ we are born again and we receive a new nature.
3. THE CO-EXISTENCE OF THE OLD AND THE NEW NATURES
Here is the way of victory over the old nature!:-
In Romans 7:24-25 the writer cries out in despair, “Who will rescue me?” and he answers his own question, “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” Now look up and dwell deeply upon Romans 8:12-13

Thank you.
@@bobbyrodriguez8270 how?
Jesus flesh wasn't corrupted. He was born from a virgin. He did not have a physical father. In order to commit sin, it requires a mind that has a compulsion to sin.

Romans 6:19
We don’t have to commit a sin, we are sinners just by our very existence.
You will find the answer in those chapters, and the Holy Spirit is given to the disciples of Christ by doing what Jesus instructed:
*"If you love Me, keep My commandments. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me." (John 14:15-24)*
Jesus told His disciples to keep His commandments BEFORE receiving the Holy Spirit too!
Furthermore, *"And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” (Acts 5:32)*
Obedience is required to receive the Holy Spirit, so this demonstrates that living holy lives BEFORE receiving the holy spirit is possible!

This is great teaching

Therefore as ONE TRESSPASS led to condemnation for ALL MEN
The doctrine of original sin that you put forth is an incredible strawman to that of what is actually traditionally believed.
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8

Calvinism needs sinful nature doctrine to uphold no free will.

@@caleschnell I think that is true in some instances. However, in other instances, "justify" might mean declared righteous. For instance in James 2.
@@bobthrasher8226
The word justify means to ‘set right’ so if we have a mind that distrusts God but yet we place our trust in Him-then we are recognized as set right or seen as justified.
Think of it this way-in order for branches to grow leaves they must first be connected to the vine who nourishes the branches.
However if you read James 2 I don't think you would say that Abraham's offering of Isaac "set him right" - because that kind of "justification is not of works." In that case, his offering was judged, or declared, as righteous.
@@bobthrasher8226
Hmm, I see it as a heart justified in the sight of God made complete by a work of faith. So many Protestants hate James ch. 2 because it clearly exposes the idea that salvation is by faith alone when that is taught no where in the Scripture. Sola fide is a farce that leads to ungodliness.
What in the world do you do with Ephesians 2.3, "καὶ ἤμεθα τέκνα φύσει ὀργῆς ὡς καὶ οἱ λοιποί"? Does this not say that we are by nature under the wrath of God?
+Beaux Hargrove Is not Nature explained in the video? The word is Pysis, our word for Physics, the nature of growth, by progression and development man becomes addicted to sin, the Gentiles are also said to 'by nature do the things contained in the law, Rom2:14, so how can nature itself be corrupt if they could do what is right by it.
What lexicon are you using for your definition of φύσις?
+Beaux Hargrove Strongs, yes, it means to be born, spring up and GROW, that's where Nature Physis, comes in, the Nature of growth, even Rom1 reveals this, man is not born reprobate but becomes so by progression of rejecting God, exchanging His truth for a lie etc.
The doctrine of totale depravity is in the bible. We are all dead in Adam. What you fail to understand is that the gospel is for those that are already born again, and they would be able to repent. To deny the original sin is heresy. The Lord says that there is none good, but God. To say that nothing was corrupted in Adam is the direct opposite of the testimony of scripute.
In Adam all sinned
I agree with u on quite a bit except about Constantine they outlawed pagan.
That's alexander hislopp. So I applaud the history about augustine but hislopp is discredited

Nicea simply established the trinity as doctrine because of the Arian heresy. Besides irenius and others all preached against it o.g. sin and gnostic.

Just watched this, makes sense to me and had a question pop up...saw your name so figure I'll ask since I know you have a child. :) What about when a little one lies? I thought of this recently when my almost 3 year old lied/denied something I knew she did, made me think of Adam and Eve of course. She has no siblings and doesn't go to a daycare but sure, she could've learned it from mama and daddy somehow. Even before the influence of TV, I feel like every little one lies. Hope you don't think I'm dumb asking this. :/

Doing / saying something in the name of Jesus is akin to walking in the Spirit of Christ. So whatever a true Christian does ought to be done for the purpose of Christ and with the consciousness of His presence. But we don't use it as a meaningless cliché to promote what we say as being true.

So what do you call it when the flesh causes one to sin?
@@offendedbean7243 What a lame hateful answer. I suppose you're walking a sinless obedient "humble" spiritual lifestyle. Hmm. Obviously you're a carnal believer, judging by your answer to Jamar Thomas.
answer: sin
Jerome translated the vulgate.

This guy has no business trying to teach lessons from a book that he clearly has very little understanding of himself.
