- After staying in Furano for two nights, we drove all the way to Kushiro, which took 10 hours(since we chilled out in Tomamu and Obihiro)
Kushiro is famous especially for the huge wetlands(the biggest in Japan),
In this area, you would touch the biodiversity as Japanese Cranes(nationally protected animals), Ezo deer, and Ezo red fox can be viewed all year round.
And also there are a lot of beautiful lakes, such as Lake Mashu and Lake Akan.

富良野で2泊した後、約10時間のドライブを経て釧路にやってきました(トマムや帯広で遊びすぎました。動画は撮ってないです。。。笑)
釧路は、何と言っても日本最大の湿地帯である、「釧路湿原」で有名。
天然記念物のタンチョウを初め、エゾジカ、キタキツネなど生息しており、生物の多様性を感じることができました。
冬を越したばかりの湿原は、まだ生い茂ってませんでしたが、枯れた草木が一面に広がる壮大な景色は、アフリカのサバンナを想起させてくれる絶景でした。
釧路を始めとする道東エリアは、2050年に消滅する可能性のある地域の一つです。
けれどもこの場所には、美しい自然、生物の多様性や水産資源がある。
この貴重な日本の宝物が失われないように、この動画を見て少しでも釧路を訪れる人が増えてくれたら良いなと願っています。
