I wish this finished off the tutorial by explaining how/when to close these trades. Like I imagine to close the calls he sold, you have to "buy to close" - but how does that work? Do you have to also sell the calls you bought at the same time? Should you sometimes buy and sell to close at different times? This is a missing piece for me. Help?

Can the $395 call you sold be exercised immediately, since it is in the money, or does the stock price have to drop to $395 or less before it can be exercised?

From $9K to $35K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me despite the market fluctuations

This looks a lot like a strangle. What's the advantage over the strangle?
This is a zero day trade, SPY will likely stay with the loosing range
