I actually really like seeing the paint stripping process and when you pick at the model with dental tools. Even though it doesn't take a lot of skill, it's still an important step and adds a little variety. Some other youtubers skip over it and it sets your channel apart. I find watching all the paint wipe off super satisfying. Also, that hole in your hand deserves a like!

    Hi Marty,
what sets your videos apart from all the other "model restorations" is your highly entertaining sense of humour.
I was already covering my eyes as I watched you drilling the windscreen: "That's not going to end well." - Superb, Marty. :-)
And, as the gag runs on, I just figured you filmed this around Easter? LOL
"Farmer shoots 24 lb. grasshopper". Now my gut aches from laughing so hard.
Very nicely done model. And lotsa detail with the new paint!
    Very enjoyable as always. :-)
    Best regards from Germany,
    Volker

When our not-so-old washing machine's power switch broke (rubbish design) I accessed it, recalled your handy tip and immediately remade and shaped the duff part with your 'instant rock'. I saved on pricey new parts, and the washer was straight back in action. I was amazed how simple bicarb really beefed up the repair.

Loved this model! Actually love the Mog period. To provide an answer to your comment as to how Lesney attached the base plate. The moulded pillar extended above the base plate and was swaged down on to the body. Both fixed and rotating tools were used to swage the metal pillar so your technique is indeed very close to the original manufacturing process.

Perhaps your best work yet. I love your dedication to the gag!

The Unimog was probably my favorite.....or the Matchbox car I was most intrigued by. I think I had at least a couple of them back in the 1960s. Mine were the brown over aqua ones.

The additional humour is great: drill through the hand, cork in the hand (drill) hole and the appearance of the koala "assistant". Great. Keep them coming.

I like watching you strip the paint every time. It's oddly satisfying.
