“We need more gods” is an understatement. Idky they chose these gods out of the 100+ pool of them
They are adding gods based on what CC and systems they need in a game. Fen picks you up, Jing Flys in the air, Than has a execute, etc.... the next gods for example Nu was has pets and Amaterasu is the 1st semi stance switcher. Use your brain dude.

Smite 2 Alpha matching with deadlock release is making this game rough to even play. As much as I love Smite and the concept it brings. It's just that I can barely manage 2 or 3 games in SMITE 2 before I move on to another game. I feel that SMITE 2 was announced way too early. I think all this did was split the player base between two games also around 8 minutes you can dash while in hades ult so if they walk out you can just dash to them with ult.
the game already feels like a revolving door of the same gods picked and banned. its too pre mature and yes does split the player base I find myself liking the original more because of the variety. Although they have a great road map image every 3 weeks, it still leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
its still in dead alpha so only hope for the best and pray they do good updates but I see what you are getting at.

@@AngryH What they should've done is announce a major update to SMITE 1. Take a year of no gods, and push up SMITE with a MASSIVE year 12 or 13 update on the same client. While going from u3 to u5 is a major jump it is possible. I think Hi-rez took the easy route in making a new game rather than using what is already there. They could've kept the 130+ roster and change gods on the new client at a faster pace.
What would be eventually cool would be a map editor for custom games and what not
I hope in the patch next week they will fix all or most bugs, also that they will do some buffs and nerfs to gods and items.

What has changed to life steal?
Idk magical lifesteal items are bad I guess apart from that idk?
There is no more basic attack and ability life steal.. all life steal is just life steal so devos gloves works for abilities.. aside from that I have now idea other than the items just being different
I presume the issue is that they currently only have a handful of lifesteal items and most have inherently bad stats compared to items focused solely on damage (outside of dev gauntlets). Typhons bane, an item that used to have great power, pen, lifesteal, and a strong passive, for example, now only has lifesteal. The other items have their niche uses (book, soul gem, etc.), but they're not exactly powerful and get shut down by a single anti-heal item in most cases (the defense version of which is just a good item to build 100% of the time for tanks).
Also, some of the gods that had lifesteal in their kits got tweaked/nerfed, like anubis 3 and his passive lifesteal/pen combo.
The only God im waiting is Awilix it feels weird not playing my favorite jungler

As a Hades main I immediately was disappointed when I played my first game of smite 2 and realized it will never be the same again
But why what did they change ?
@@PotatoA22 you can use all his abilities while inside his ult now. you can reposition with his dash, fear people, and smash with your 3 again. all while your ult is popping off

@@Altcor you can use each ability only once. Hades ult reduces the CD of his abilites now. i dont know itemization as well but say for an old smite 1 build with Myrrdin's you wouldnt be able to get all those insane procs from say spear of Deso, myrrdins' chronos, AND the ult, in order to slam your 3 at least twice more.
