    Thank you for sharing. This is by far the most informative how to properly stratify lavender seeds. I would be so grateful if you demonstrated the next step. Or explain on to place in flats what medium to use at that stage and how to care for. I started some seeds this spring I had about 40 seedlings of which I successfully grew approximately 30 small lavender babies. They are in my garden and are doing well but still very small and I am lost as to how to protect them over winter here in zone 6b. I guess I should have up potted them again maybe but… I am truly a beginner as you might can tell. Once again I truly appreciate your demonstration. 👏👏👏😘

    Roger id love to see a care video for seedlings. I did a 288 cell with success. However I had a hard time keeping my medium from drying out. I was doing this indoors under artificial light. What kind of humidity should a 288 cell tray have for the first 3 months of growing lavender. Great videos thanks again !

      Since we grow in a greenhouse, humidity is usually 80% +. Important NOT to over water as they will damp off quickly.

      @ryandrs5056, while doing cold stratification, did you initially put the seeds in the 288 cell tray? Did you stick it in fridge for 4-6 weeks? Did you have to water them? Can you please elaborate your cold stratification process?

      I use a service to produce intros on my channels (Envato) that uses copyright free music tracks, to enable use on TH-cam. I do not know what the title is or who the artist is. The music clips available are very short since they are used on intros.

    When you direct sow in the flats, do you have soil first on the bottom and then seed and vermiculite on top? Or are you using only vermiculite for both bottom and on top?
    Hope you can make a video how you direct sow when you have time! 😃

    I’m hesitant to stratify in soil in a bag. It seems like it would be a nightmare to separate out the seeds to transfer into cells afterwards. Is it not as bad as I’m imagining? Is there a trick to it? If so could you show how?

      @moonshinedesignsnursery3310  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, or course. Not the way we generally start Lavender as we direct seed with a seeder into 288 and 512 cell flats, then stratify in the flats, normally.

      @@moonshinedesignsnursery3310 once you put the seeds in the 288 cell to stratify, can I put it in fridge covered with plastic? So I need to check on water during the 6 weeks of stratification?

      @@anishsheth3316 Yes, the entire flat can be refrigerated if you have the room. Keep any ete on it so it does not dry out.
