Wow, this just looks sooooo gorgeous 🥰 I love how these garments are the exact opposite of our clothing culture nowadays. That there's so much craftsmanship going into they're making, there,'s no left-over pieces of fabric when they're sawn, that they would be cherished, passed on as heirloom pieces even and repaired rather than throwing them out 🥰

That is pigment what extracted from flower petal of "Ooboushibana"(Commelina communis var. hortensis) aka "Aobana". This pigment is completely washed off by washing in water, so it has been convinient tool for underdrawing

I'm not sure about particular dye they're using in this video, but synthetic dye is mainly used noway day. In the past, or maybe some traditional Japanese yuzen craft hose still use traditional dyes which are vegetable dye, such as polygonum tinctorum, safflower, sappan, rubia, and animal origin dyes like cochineal insect.
