Wow! I'm so happy I paint on silk the seemingly easier way.
I do use the harite and shinshi at times, but the way I paint on silk, is quicker to the act of painting!

How did they used the seaweed to prime the fabric? It went straight to applying the madder dye background.
How are his lines so clean? He shakes more than I do and my lines look shaky but his don't.
How is the actual dye made? What is he using as his mordant?
Is fixative (mordant) still used after painting details?
Similar to batik dying.
