    The tattoo on jimin's body says “I live my life in ever-widening circles that stretch themselves out over all the things. I won’t, perhaps, complete the last one, but I intend on trying. I circle around God, around the ancient tower, and I circle for thousands of years; and I don’t know, yet: am I a falcon, a storm, or a mighty song.”

    Jimin said that his album is about his emotions and what he went through during the pandemic.
    Like Crazy is about escapism through alcohol and you see in Set Me Free pt. 2 he says 'Hennesy at night' and 'again, repeat.' He used alcohol as a way to escape his feelings and SMFP 2 is him being released from it and being able to get passed those emotions.
    Haegeum also means to lift a ban, so you were spot on with the meaning.
    You can see in Daechwita where the emperor/king has a scar as well as the peasant.
    In Haegeum the bad guy has a faint scar still and the other has no scar.
    Amygdala shows how he got the scar.
    Yoongi has said that Agust D is gone now as he is no longer holding onto the hurt and anger that Agust D had.

    Jimins album tells a story from beginning to end and was meant to be listened to in order. He is talking about how he felt during the pandemic and the phases he went through. My favorite on the album is the first song face which does not have an mv. Hopefully, you react to the whole album. He also performed like crazy live on Jimmy fallon with choreography. You dont want to miss him dancing. Suga's album is a masterpiece. I recommend listening to it all. There are no skips in BTS albums. Suga always puts his life stories into his music. Something that is visually impactful recently was that Army's made the connection that Yoongi's live stage [you should check out some clips from the last day of his concert, Snooze, Dear My Friend, Amygdala ect] represented the lonely shot with the door he couldn't get through for him to finally open it on the last day of his tour

    Jimin has several tattoos on his body. Moon phases down his spine (fun story: he actually got only one of the moons first, but then saw fan art with him having several moon phases lower existing one, thought that is was cool idea and did other phases), 13 on his wrist, "Young" and "Forever"on the back of his arms (shoulders? idk proper term in english for this body part, above his elbows), NEVERMIND on his ribs (which is a title of one of Yoongi's songs that apparently affected Jimin enough to get it tattooed on his body) and 7 on his finger (BTS friendship tattoo, all members have tiny 7 on different parts of their bodies).
    Also, about AMYGDALA scene where he looking over himself. You may be right and he is portraying depersonalization, but - and maybe it's a big stretch - with that scene where he goes towards the light behind an open door, for me personally it also felt like s*icide attempt. Like he tried to escape with this path, but this didn't work out (the door closed), so it was failled one. This is only my theory with things I read from The Last lyrics and images from AMYGDALA and he never openly said anything about it. Also, all this killings of himself in his MV's are perfect and clever way of portraying constant internal battle with himself, there is always a chans that this is not only a metaphor.
    Also, you can see the third version of Yoongi in AMYGDALA, in green, sitting next to the door and eating almonds, looking at himself struggling in this grey room (amygdala). This is sertainly him looking at himself from the third person perspective (depersonalization).

    So, the amygdala is the part of the brain that stores memories, especially frightening or bad memories, as it also controls your Flight or Fight response. It helps you to get out of dangerous situations, whether it's dangerous to you physically or mentally/spiritually. Loads of symbolism in the vid. Heartwrenching. And Beautiful. I'm just so happy he's healed enough to share it with us. You may be interested to see his last performance (D-Day Final Day 3) of this song and Snooze -- he actually broke down on stage and cried through most of it. Suga said he really worked at going into his subconscious and digging deep to write Amygdala, and that he had to relive the trauma in order to do that.

    Another great reaction video! Jimin's Face album was perfection as was Yoongi's D-Day album! I hope you get to listen to both these albums. Yoongi is also my bias but Jimin is my bias breaker! I also resonate with Yoongi's music the most. I hope you get a chance to watch his D-day concert, especially day 3 of the encore concert in Seoul. I was lucky enough to watch when he was in the States and he's the ultimate performer, he makes you feel so many things through his performance and music. So the Amygdala is the part of ure brain that controls ure fear response and it processes ure emotions. That whole video he was stuck in his amygdala he wasn't able to come out. In the last day of his concert, he showed us that he has processed his traumas and he did this by going through that same white door. He was very emotional performing three of his very personal songs, one which was amygdala, he really left everything on that stage that day. I hope one day I'm able to go through my own white door! Thanks for another great video! 💜💜💜

    About the clip Agust D - Daechwita, there the text with locations can be compared, where he looks like a poor man, a story about the past, then where he is in the image of a king - the take-off time "I'm the king, I'm the boss". And where in the image of an ordinary person on a wheelbarrow with people is he ordinary, real, down to earth in general, such as he is. He kills at the end of the king, he did this for himself, to remind himself who he is. Like, be more down to earth, don't catch a star, he says to himself. That is, the image of the poor man and the king is the first mixtape of Yoongi "Agust D" and the track Agust d - Agust d, where he smashed everyone, spoke about himself and his feelings, the second mixtape "D-2" Daechwita Begins with the words in the first song "fuck I'll just start" The continuation of the first mixtape, but here he wants to forget himself then. A slightly different perception of the world like maybe I'm growing up. Burn me of the past. And in Haegeum "D-Day" It's like so that he can make sure he killed the old self of the one who was chasing money and fame of the one from the Agust d video - Agust d As Yoongi said later, we may not see this image again, since he has matured, has become calmer about everything, and he almost does not get angry. Agust D is an alter ego that appeared because of his anger in his youth in his debut days, when they were wildly hated by everyone and sundry, he was a lot angry at them, at himself, at everything that was happening around, so he found an outlet for his emotions. Something like this

    • @mariarg21817ign
      @mariarg21817ign 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Let’s break down the plot of both stories first.
      Daechwita: there are 2 characters, a king and a man of the people (hereinafter referred to as a commoner). The mad king rules cruelly and the commoner is about to overthrow him. He is brought to be executed by the king for disobedience, but he does not know that the commoner has conspired with his executioners. The commoner shoots the king, but it is not known if the bullet hit him.
      Haegeum: The story of a criminal and a detective. The criminal steals the detective's money and he intends to take it. He tracks him down for murder and theft, and when they meet, the criminal burns all the money. The detective takes him prisoner and gives the signal for his execution, but instead the criminal pulls out a gun and shoots him.
      So, the king is a wrathful conqueror, and he has earned his throne by "chopping off the heads" of his enemies, whom he has defeated in order to claim it. In his live, Yoongi confirmed that the king represents anger. He also reveals that the black-haired Agust Di, a commoner, represents the other side of him, but he will only reveal it in the next part, Haegeum.

    • @mariarg21817ign
      @mariarg21817ign 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      BUT an interesting feature - one of the characters is missing a scar. So, if we imagine that the mad king was still killed and the commoner (who has black hair) remained, then it is he who turns into the main villain of the new part, into the DETECTIVE ???
      The COMMON/DETECTIVE now becomes the analogue of the KING: he rules his kingdom (the police) in the same way: he is ruthless, corrupt and ambitious, he brutally cracks down on those who go against him.
      Does it look like a cycle? The commoner overthrows the king, going against his follies, but seizing power himself becomes corrupt, so now you need to overthrow him and the same criminal appears. But in the end, the criminal burns all the money, giving up wealth. He didn't do it for profit? A criminal without a scar turns away from greed and then kills a corrupt policeman, just like a commoner killed a king.
      Evil is defeated, selfishness and greed have lost again, the balance has been restored. The criminal is now alone, he is free.. BUT???? LAST SCENE????

    • @mariarg21817ign
      @mariarg21817ign 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      LAST HAEGUM SCENE WHERE YOOGI COMES TO EAT Noodles??
      This shot is very important, because when the criminal looks up at the camera, his hair falls over his face in the exact eye where the other characters had a scar AND DOES NOT HE REMINDER SOMEONE? As if this "evil" could move into him after the murder of the detective. As if the criminal is destined for the same fate as the commoner before him: to become a detective / king, but in a new guise.
      Yoongi uses these four characters to explore this cyclic struggle with human vices (lust for power, anger, etc.), perhaps even as a commitment to constantly strive for freedom from them.
      The more I think about it, the more I notice how gradually the scar becomes less noticeable KING > COMMON > DETECTIVE.
      The cycle continues, the commoner kills the king, the criminal kills the detective, and the less visible the scar, the less intense the anger?
      This is an ongoing battle of yourself with yourself, but despite the fact that (even if) the criminal is destined for the fate of the detective and the king in the end, he still won in something. In other words, even if it's a continuous cycle of dealing with the vices that hold us hostage, each time it becomes easier for us to cope with them. And while we can never defeat them forever, can there be significant progress in this cycle?”

    The Amygdala is the part of the brain that responds to Trauma, example: if a snake bite you in the past, this part of the brain generates a phofia or reaction to snakes.
    Agust D is the alter ego of Suga who lives in anger and pain, Suga use him to expressed himself in music and he had an end in the Final Day of The Tour D-Day (I cried so bad seeing the D-3 of encore stage, Suga had such an emotional connection with the songs and it was heartbreaking)
    D-Day the album is a masterpiece, if you can listen to it, you don't have to react here, you can do it alone and I'm sure it's gonna be SO hard but beautiful to listen (he produced and songwrite everything like always)
    Snooze is my favorite song of the album, it's a collaboration with Woosung (vocalist of The Rose) and Ryūichi Sakamoto (who sadly passed away, he was a musician for his movies and the reason why Suga produced from a very young age, its because he fall in love with his soundtracks), Suga use a sample of his piano in the song to bring a message of inspiration and dreams to young Idols and people. There is a good video made by fans in TH-cam that haves lyrics:

      But I definitely agree with everything you said, I may not know suga that well yet but I totally get how much emotion he puts in his music, it's literally a part of himself and I guess thats why we all manage to feel so much.

    FACE OFF
    Interlude : Dive
    Like Crazy
    Alone
    Set me free pt2

    Also LETTER (The hidden track)
    The thing I love his music that it has so much diversity like smfpt2 and like crazy are totally different genre. His discography is very rich and high.

    I love all of these songs so much and love all BTS songs. With that said, Amygdala is the most personal song for me since i have lost all my immediate family except my younger brother so my soul understands at a deep level the trauma and pain portrayed in this song. When i first heard it abd watched the video i went into ugly uncontrollable sobbing and couldn't stop. It helped me release a lot of trapped emotion that even my PTSD therapist was not able to get to. Because the song is so personal it will always be my favorite of all BTS and solo songs. Suga is my bias too because of his lyrics and songs--well, everything. I watched the replay of his d-day final tour concert last night and get to watch the final concert again tonight but i know i am going to cry so hard when those last set numbers come on where he cant stop crying. It is heart wrenching. Especially now that we know he started the military enlistment process. If you ever want to watch that full concert the Enjoy BTS More channel has it with english subs on her patreon. I have watchec 7 of suga's concerts and honestly could watch it every week. I love all of BTS, they are amazing and so talented but yoongi is special to be because i just connect to his songs and he reminds me so much of my brother who passed away at age 35--both are geniuses who literally could do anything they put their heart and mind into. ❤❤❤

      Im really so happy that you managed to find some closure and a way to express through his music, sometimes all we need it's really just somebody who can relate to us and understand. I hope everything is going great for you right now and that you got better🤍 I totally agree with you, BTS is truly special, never would I have thought that I would get this into a boy group. Haegeum, while it can mean the traditional stringed instrument, as a verb also means "the lifting of a ban" or allowing what was forbidden, which ties into the lyrics "liberation from all that's forbidden" and "this song's simply about freeing what's forbidden," which is followed up by, "but you must remember to differentiate freedom from self-indulgence."
    In the MV you see Yoongi seemingly lose himself to self-indulgence by stealing money, smoking, and generally just doing whatever the hell he wants. But there's a turning point. When the crooked cop version of Yoongi catches up to him in his hideout, he takes the cop's cigarette, contemplates it, but this time instead of smoking it he tosses it into the pile of money and burns it all, freeing himself from the shackles that this kind of self-indulgence creates. This MV is seriously a movie.

    I knew you would keep Suga as your bias. His rapping but mostly because of the way he writes and shares his painful feelings with us.
    Jimin is my bias and I saw that you became so emotional with both Set Me Free and Like Crazy. Both these MVs are masterpieces. His album FACE has 2 more songs, Face-Off and Alone. There are no MVs for them, but his voice and the lyrics show his frustration and emotions during the pandemic. I really love his album.

    I won't get into details of meanings to these songs because it looks like tons of people already did that but I just wanted to say that I'm glad you were able to react to all of these. They are both my biases. Jimin because I feel like my eyes are attracted to him (although very good looking, I'm talking about his presence) I'm a sucker for male artists with high vocal ranges and for i find myself not being able to keep my eyes off him. He feels music from the tips of his fingers, down to his toes and he is so graceful, powerful and quite sexy as well while dancing. He was born to be on the stage. With Yoongi, I feel a deep connection to his lyrics. He is not afraid of putting himelf or his feelings out there in such a raw way. He really speaks to my soul. All that being said, they are all amazing and find myself being bias wrecked regularly with the others. They are all special in their own way.

    You should check his solo live performances of his Serindipity, Filter and Lie.
    Set Me Free is his song to himself, wanting to set him free from.his fear or insecurity. Usually, Jimin's music is a self-reflection.
    Like Crazy is a song which reflects gis feelings and frustration during the pandemic. As usual, he is talking to himself who is trying to escape of the emptiness he felt during the pandemic by day dreaming about happy thoughs and yet it goes away the moment he wakes up from the daydream. In this song, Jimin admits that to escape from reality may be crazy but it was necessary during the pandemic to stay crazy to stay sane.

    You should watch Jungkook reacting to Set Me Free pt. 2. You can see him doing the Summon Jimin dance. ;) Jimin exploded the world of kpop with these songs. We were not ready.
    And what can I say about "Amygdala"? As always, Yoongi is open and brutally honest, and that includes working through his demons. The video is hard to watch, especially knowing his history, but ultimately I think it was healing for him and for many of us.
    Last and not at all least is Haegeum... the modern-day sequel to "Daechwita" with several visual call backs. Yoongi is a freaking genius and I want him in an action film in the starring role IMMEDIATELY. LOL. No, seriously, he's an amazing actor.

    Yes this song Amygdala is about his real, he was quite poor he used to live poor family and when BTS were trainee he worked 3 or 4 works:deliver, driver etc. These years he faced to accident and injured his shoulders then he didn't tell to company or bts members. He danced this painly shoulders for years and that's why in 2020 operated his shoulders and wasn't able to attend many BTS performances or shows...
    As well as the sad thing was he wanted to commit suicide and Jin stopped him 😢

    Amygdala is always so hard to watch. If you get a chance to watch D-Day Tour Encore Day 3 (Seoul), there's a closure to it in the end. And YoonGi poured his all into that day's show. We all cried so hard with him, going through everything he had went through. We all smiled and cried in relieved when he finally showed us the closure. He's so strong, OMG. Our strongest soldier. We love him so much.

    Acaso não tenham já lhe falado: haegum tem dois significados;
    1) um instrumento tradicional coreano de duas cordas
    2) permitir aquilo que anteriormente já foi proibido.

    I really liked it a lot, and I understand you completely. I think that all the songs that were released are art in themselves. From each album I have AT LEAST 2 songs that I never stop singing and that always come to my mind at certain moments and I start singing them out of nowhere.
    I love the 7, but SUGA has an incredible ability to break me down and completely rebuild me from the first time I heard him, and make me feel stronger.
    Amygdala is such a personal song and at the same time, a song that we can all relate to and bring those things out of our hearts by singing it.
    What I love is at the end, when they say "What didn't kill me only made me stronger. And I begin to bloom like a lotus flower once again". The lotus flower can grow in difficult places, like in swamps, it's a beautiful metaphor that no matter how difficult, how sad, how "swampy" life is at times, we can bloom and overcome it, just like the lotus flower.

    So Jimin's full album that "Like Crazy" & "Set Me Free Pt2" are part of is Jimin expressing and working through is feelings and states of mind he exprience during the pandemic. And Agust D's Trilogy of "Haegeum", "Daechwita" & "Amygdala" is yoongi telling his story of anger, stress, ambition, pain, self reflection and self destruction. For Haegeum is has a dual meaning 1: the tradition korean instrument & 2: Freedom from what is forbidden. Also the Amygdala is the part of the brain that deals with trauma and traumatic experiences, so yes Suga is pleading with his Amygdala to let him out of the cycle of pain, anger, & sadness.

    Ok first of all you got everything right about amygdala and even about him portraying dual personality in haegum and daechwita right. Amygdala is so personal to him thus for armys too. His accident was befor the debut ig but he got surgery after 7 years only, he was enduring so much pain for more than 7 years just so he can debut with his group and also to be successful. There are so many videos of him holding his shoulder during performance. No army had idea abou his struggle until they announced about his surgery and hiatus. He is such a brave soul🥺🥺 and you too💜.
    Most if not all the songs of bts and their solos are always from their personal life and feelings, so every song of them will have their personal thoughts so much. Coming to jimin, he along with jhope and jin have always likes to show their bright personality all of the time, jin particularly thinks he doesn't want to show his darker side or how they feel its difficult to always be positive, so their biggest outlet is through music. You can read their lyrics and feel their complex emotions thru their songs so well. Jimin's solo album is more of how he was feeling during pandemic than his role in his group. The most satisfying part of bts music is you may think they are talking about love life but it may not really be. Like crazy is about how he felt in pandemic, getting drunk and didn't want to believe that all their huge plans (their massive world tour plan they were so so excited about, it got cancelled) and his life got all at once halted so he didn't want to come to realisation. His face album was so full of his emotions it's so beautiful you have to listen it fully 🥺.
    I love that you get emotional so easily (mee too😅). I get to relive my first experiences thru you thank you so much💜.
    Also i would like you to listen to rm' solo wild flower (his recent song) and forever rain and everything goes (old song). Forever rain and everything goes are a masterpiece, it will definitely make you so emotional. If you want to hear rm' hardcore rap you have to check out joke and do you (1st solo mixtape) but joon loves to experiment with his music , he also loves indie type so after his 1st mixtape most of his song are influenced by indie type, it really brings out his deep baritone voice and comforts you so much.
    For jin's solo abyss, epiphany and tonight, his masterpieces ughhh ilove his voice so much everytime i hear his voice i literally cry.. tonight is about jin's pets, they all have crossed the rainbow bridge 😞😞😞.
    I really really like your reactions so much and how you get almost everything at once is so surprising💜💜...

    There's an interpretation that the "she" in Like Crazy is actually Jimin. If you rewatch the MV carefully you'll see a hand covered in mud grab him at the beginning and pull him into the club scene, and in the middle of the MV the camera briefly focuses on a woman who vaguely looks like Jimin and is wearing a black leather jacket like the hand that grabbed him, and finally at the end of the MV Jimin returns with his own hand freshly covered in mud.
    After the camera focuses on this woman, there's a scene where she and Jimin walk towards each other and "face-off" on the dancefloor, the camera spins, and we cut to Jimin in front of the bathroom mirror while the lyrics talk about his reflection in the mirror. Interestingly, in the English version of this part, the lyrics are a little different and say, "all my reflections I can't even recognize." And during this part of the choreography (which wasn't in the MV but was used for live performances), Jimin dances with one of the female backup dancers and they perfectly mirror each other's movements. After this scene in the MV, we don't see this mysterious woman again.

      There's also a lot of queer-coding throughout Face and Jimin's solo projects over the years as part of BTS. Some examples would be the Rilke poem written on his chest in Set Me Free pt. 2 (Rilke was raised as a girl for the first part of his life, and ran in queer circles as an adult), Jimin's pants in the bathroom scene of the Like Crazy MV depict Robert Mapplethorpe (who was a controversial photographer whose work challenged ideas of sexuality and gender and was himself queer), and the Philip Johnson poster in the playlist video for Face (Johnson was the architect of the famous "glass house" which represented the irony of being gay and closeted, of hiding in plain sight).
      It's worth noting that Jimin's photofolio also seems to take quite a bit of inspiration from Mapplethorpe's work.
