Dane just casually being the best guy to boat with, helping people out, sharing beta, being stoked. So many great moves but going into that maelstrom to rescue the boat and then going back in a second time to get the paddle and skirt, that was the craziest thing I've seen. Didn't see anyone else volunteering for that detail.
Dane - the group excusions are the best. The shots of the guys from above are excellent in showing the fury of the feature. I'm sure when you're out with others - your being with them, puts them a little bit more at ease, with your knowledge and ability. Great video.
Just constantly amazes me what you folks can do. I like hearing/seeing the background stuff. Glad you stated it took 1.5 hours for that rescue. Those of us that don't do this, would never realize how long that takes and how long you spend scouting. Very cool and glad you are all safe. Epic stuff!!
As someone who has never done this, I would be interested to see how much time and discussion you guys put into navigating these things. You make it look really easy, but I am guessing you don't go down areas without scouting the heck out of it and figuring it out. It would really cool to see you narrate off camera and shoot some video talking about how you go about doing this stuff and what you have to consider for your safety and all..
What a Gorge and Awesome Crew.. loved every view. Best virtual river tour of my life, and I've seen them all. Keep thinking of that first D.. and where y'all are @ 30 years later. Blows my mind.
Yeah, that is definitely the best trip report video ever. Including all the carnage. rescue, gear retrieval, talking things over at big drops, POV through the myriad other beautiful rapids like I’ve never seen before, and camping make it a powerful “ virtual river tour “ .
Been waiting for this since another guy posted a shortie of the trip. Didn't disappoint. The freestyle and that boat recovery from the cave was insane! Then he goes back for the paddle and skirt. Dayum.
I have an adrenaline rush and I'm just sitting here in my cozy chair, but witnessing some amazing athletes play and maneuver through and over some stunning epic whitewater. Pure sound of rushing water with personal front seat views. Amazing video! Thank You Dane, you are the best!
Wow Dane , this is a view of this epic place like no other. Like another guy already said, best virtual river tour ever ! I have never seen such complete GoPro of all the other rapids besides the big waterfalls. What a place .🙌
As usual, this is ALL TIME EPIC! Love how you're always pushing the sport to new levels. Not sure when the rest of the paddling world will ever catch up. ;) Sorry to hear Eric had a bad day at #2. He's a world-class paddler though, so I'm sure he'll be back.
Big, bold and beautiful. High consequences. Amazing skill level in your group. Great job with the edit Dane. Wish you coulda brought a drone on this one.
My mind cannot fathom how someone would ever top what you did during those two days. Seriously wondering if this is already the pinnacle of downriver freestyle.
Damn dude. That was something special. Really cool to see the footage of scouting and planning. Really shows there's a whole lot more to paddling than simple hucking and high fives. That re-surface at 18:28!!
Wow great video! I feel like I'm on the ride with you and not a kayaker! So exhilarating and scary all at once lol! Would love to fly my drones around you some time. I met your bro in law at Rock Island State Park once and he said he'd love me to do that lol!
Holy crap… @danejackson… you guys do some wild stuff… BUT to do that in a c1… clucking madness glad they were ok amazing rescue too ;) (who is the c1 paddle? I’m asking for a single paddle friend… ok I’m asking for myself :))
I would agree that others should not attempt however you could argue that this was the best line because the boat did exactly what the water was wanting the boat to do.. going with the flow.... and lined him up perfectly for the second drop. but given his helmet hit the lip!.. ehhh. and that's my Class V boater from the road perspective.. which isn't even worth a grain of salt... My message to Dane. "Take it easy brother.. we like watching you just simply run some epic rivers!"
You and your crew are incredible paddlers. But you don't know shit about cooking over a fire. Pro-tip: wait for the flames to die down to red-hot coals; cook over the coals. You'll like the results much more.
I love how this is a film-festival worthy video and its just posted casually on TH-cam.

So next level. Kind of like me at a Golden Corral session.

Excellent rescue. E.A. is one of my favorite boaters to watch. Dude is incredible. You are pretty solid yourself sir. Incredibly well done.
The Stoke, all-time high with this crew.
WOW. Incredible video Dane, I've watched dozens of your videos and this is certainly my favorite. That campsite looks well worth a trek to go visit!
Been waiting for this since another guy posted a shortie of the trip. Didn't disappoint. The freestyle and that boat recovery from the cave was insane! Then he goes back for the paddle and skirt. Dayum.
DAMN that crew were on point! that gnar around 5 mins, everyone hitting the line perfect!
That was so siiiiiick!!!!! So happy to see you all come out safe.
Really enjoy WATCHING this after my class 2 runs lol. My adrenaline is spiked through the screen!

Super fun video! So awesome to watch you work Dane, freakishly good in the water, and the way you lead, mentor and rescue is stuff of legends.
Very nice. Love those beautiful waterfalls!
Wow Dane , this is a view of this epic place like no other. Like another guy already said, best virtual river tour ever ! I have never seen such complete GoPro of all the other rapids besides the big waterfalls. What a place .🙌

Such a beast paddler, just crushing those cave runs
Next level rescue
Epic!!!! Thanks for sharing,incredible footage!
I drive white water canoeing too but it’s a big different to your white water driving Stil🤣
Amazing!
That boat recovery was some of the sickest paddling in the video, not a friendly place to paddle into.
My mind cannot fathom how someone would ever top what you did during those two days. Seriously wondering if this is already the pinnacle of downriver freestyle.
Inspirational 😅 I'm coming to USA 🇺🇸 from wet damp UK 😆
Love this guy, love this channel, love this sport!! RAD!!

I would like to know that to, fucking mental! 🤟
now you should try it in the antix 2.0😂
Did you change boats after 2;24 or did the RB nose sticker come off?
who was the C1 Paddler?
Looks stout to me 👍
🤘🤘🤘
Where is this run?
Where is this at
Hey Dane, we found a paddle at rattlesnake this weekend. Let me know if anyone is missing one!
Where is this?
Curious, the dude whose paddle split, was he using the Lettman adapter, or was it a straight break?
Goes without sayin, but I'll say it anyway. Phenominal recovery.
Pretty sure it was a C1 Galasport paddle.
@@jackkayak Sorry, should have been clearer. Talking about the lad on Scotts @22:34.
is this royal gorge on the arkansas river in colorado?
NF american in CA. "royal gorge"
Did you really have to throw the flip at 24:30? You're just making the rest of us feel like pathetic losers :)
