@TroiaHerr No I think you get recorded samples/kits as well. it's main use (for example) originally was say you recorded your drummer & the drum tracks your recorded sounded weak, you would then use drumagog to replace the kick, hats, snare etc, to whatever samples you choose, yet retaining all the feel & timing of your original drummer. It does a lot more than that but when it 1st came out, this was it's main use.
While this is not the primary intended use for Drumagog (triggering from an audio track is much more reliable), it is possible to trigger from a MIDI track. With the Pro and Platinum versions of Drumagog, you can trigger from a real-time MIDI signal using Live Mode.
@dmckay91 Drumagog has been the industry standard for drum replacement since 1999. It was the first plugin of its kind. This is the latest version that came out fall 2010.
I need this badly! I've been writing music and recording since I was 16, 6 years ago and I'm constantly finding myself getting distracted from the writing process because I need to process the drums as I go. Trying to write and record additional instruments with poor sounding drums in heavy music just doesn't inspire creation, and this looks like it would pretty much keep my love for music going.
@Jesteminny1726 First, adjust the Transient Detail slider to make Drumagog more or less sensitive to triggering hits from the incoming audio. You can also try setting the Trigger Filter to Hi-pass or Low-pass (first two buttons) and adjust the Frequency. You may need to move the Sensitivity bar lower in the Visual Triggering Window. This allows Drumagog to more cleanly focus in on the transients of the hits. Shoot us an email to support@drumagog.com if you still have any issues!
@WaveMachineLabs touchy subject eh? Trigger came out before this version and a lot of the features look very similar. I'm impressed you were humble enough to learn from the competitors but I won't be switching anytime soon. Not saying its a bad product though. I just love trigger :)
@olivercheung18 Yes, you can use room samples from BFD. The best way would be to use Drumagog 5 Platinum's plugin hosting. You can mute the direct mic from BFD, and thus only getting the room sound. However, you would need to be using a drum sample in BFD that is similar to the drum sample in Drumagog so that the room sound is matches appropriately.
@HughWheelerDrums We are sorry you are experiencing trouble with Drumagog's triggering. Is it consistently behind? Or only on certain hits? Make sure latency is being compensated for. The Trigger Filter is a great way to work with this, because your sample and original audio may be causing the issue. Try a Hi-pass or Low-pass filter and adjust the frequency. You can also shoot us an email at support@drumagog.com with your audio track and we'd love to take a look at it for you too!
@mlabonte05 For every drum sound you plan on using, you need a separate instance of Drumagog. So, you'll need a separate MIDI track for each drum. My suggestion would be to program the drums on a piano roll using your favorited drums, copy and paste the pattern for each drum into a new MIDI track, and then add Drumagog to each of those tracks.
@thetroope666 To replace snare and kick drums from EZdrummer, simply set it to multi-out mode and insert an instance of Drumagog on the snare and kick tracks.
Drumagog can only trigger one sound per instance, so if you have Superior Drummer creating a whole kit, you will need it on a separate track. If you are sending Drumagog more than just on instrument, you will have a harder time replacing anything accurately. If you can, put Drumagog on just the kick track, and the rest of the kit on other tracks.
@thetroope666 Multi-out mode should send each drum from EZdrummer to it's own track. Adding a separate instance of Drumagog on each of these tracks (i.e. one on the snare track, one on the kick track), and selecting a corresponding sample within Drumagog should do what you're looking for.
@WaveMachineLabs All this is a little bit vague to me. If I put the EZdrummer to multichannel mode, and turn on drumagog, playbacking the midi drum track, I get the same sample for every drum sound i.e. toms snare etc.
@WaveMachineLabs I get what you're saying, however I'm new to this program and recording stuff, so I don't know how to get seperate tracks for the drums and adding those samples to them.
I have drumagog 5 platinum and its fantastic! Ive always used it as a replacer but for muy own projects I dont have a dummer. I have a set of drums that are favorited in drumagog. Is it possible to set each of those drums to a specific midi note. Go into my DAW (cubase) open a piano roll and program the drums all in one piano roll? How would I do this? Thanks!
Hello, can You tell me which things You are showing in this video are not possible with the basic version? (I know the compare list on Your site) Thank You:)
I need help. I just want to replace the kick in Superior Drummer. I selected my sample and loaded the plugin but all i hear is the kick. How do I hear the rest of my kit again? I really have no idea what Im doing with this
@gokatsgo12 Drumagog was made to replace one drum sample at a time, using the audio of individually mic'd drums. This will give you the best results. It is possible, however, to use one mic. Check out the tutorial video at youtube [dot] com [slash] danshouse
great video! question: I dun have a great room to record my drums in, could i replace the real "room mic" channel with drumagog with a room mic sound from eh say.....BFD2? (thats what i use) I don't know. I'm thinking if i can get a better virtual room sound by using drumagog many thanks!
i downloaded the trial version to test it out. I'm using logic aswell. I aslo too am getting latency from the original snare track to a sample track i recorded. Apart from being frustrated haha all the knobs and buttons i'm adjusting just arent making any difference?!
An amazing program! And seems very user friendly. Does it come with sample packs? If not; where can I get some samples like the ones in this vid? They sound great especially with the stereo room and OH blends! Thanks
I have Drumagog 5 inserted on my kick channel, there is signal through the LR Meter within drumagog, but no transients are being generated and no samples are being heard. adjusting the 'sensitivity' does not help either
Hi, I need a plugin to be able to play my home made .wav samples using a MIDI file instead of replacing an audio file. Can drumagog do this? If not, is there a program that can? -Thanks
So basically this software simulates their own drums samples over what i recorded with my drums in my room but with a professional sound? So drumagog is just a simulator and doesnt have their pre recorded rythms ?
Hmm. I am not sure as to how to put Drumagog on JUST the kick track, as all the instruments on my drum beat I have written out are all on the same 'virtual instrument.'
Anybody knows if Drumagog 5 compatible with sonar x1? I have downloaded the demo but it wont show in Sonar x1. I have rescan the pluggins, and make sure drumagog.dll its in cakewalks vst folder. But still cant get it to appear in sonar.
whosyabobby Wait what? How to perform a multichannel recording? Simply create a sufficient amount of audio tracks and assign each one to a different input (one mic of each component of the drumset), then set record enable on all of them and press record. Is that the answer to your question or did I misunderstand your question?
Hello very good video, could you please tell me does Drumagog vary in waveform size or velocity with snare drum hits? On other words, if you were to print the Drumagog snare sample, it would vary depending how the drummer hit the snare right? My reason for asking is an engineer made a Drumagog track where the wave file is all the same and big and we can not get at to blend with my drummer's tracks who played well. My engineer, doesn't have Drumagog and couldn't get the 3 day free version yo work,it kept crashing. You can see variance the wave form on the actual drum track, but the Drumagog is all one big wave form. It's making the mix song really inconsistent on the snare drum. Your help would be greatly appreciated God Bless! Rob Ransom

Very fascinating app. Is it possible to restore an isolated drumtrack that I had recorded back in the 80s with a tape recorder? I have got it as mp3.

@BrainInfluenza The only thing not included in the Basic version that is demonstrated in this video is the 'Favorites' option.
Do you know how can you capture Midi Out from Drumagog in Logic Pro X? Thanks
@WaveMachineLabs All this is a little bit vague to me. If I put the EZdrummer to multichannel mode, and turn on drumagog, playbacking the midi drum track, I get the same sample for every drum sound i.e. toms snare etc.
I have a question. I'm looking for a program that converts the sound of my drum while I'm playing into midi. Does this program do that?

Need WAY more tutorial videos...
do you only need one mic to record your drums?

they came with a pack of drumsamples, organized in Drumkits and Solosamples, Great stuff. I love the "drums from hell"
I have Drumagog 5 inserted on my kick channel, there is signal through the LR Meter within drumagog, but no transients are being generated and no samples are being heard.
adjusting the 'sensitivity' does not help either
can you take an audio track and trigger a midi event say in kontackt?
How accurate does it pick up? Like how well does it pick up ghost notes?
Hi, I need a plugin to be able to play my home made .wav samples using a MIDI file instead of replacing an audio file. Can drumagog do this? If not, is there a program that can? -Thanks
I want to replace the snare and kick drums from EZdrummer's DKFH. How can I do this using cubase?
is it just only used when record in multitrack??

Can i record my bassdrum with a trigger and NO module?
Video quality ffs!
PLEASE explain to me how you record the drums individually to different tracks at once... I can't find anything anywhere
Your kidding me...

Kinda I figured it out I had to add a new sound card to allow multiple inputs but thanks for responding dude
whosyabobby just bounce the tracks! or able multichannel output
@thetroope666 Look into a function in EZDrummer called "Multi-Out," this should do what you're looking for.

Can you use it with an electronic drum track?
yes
480p? Seriously ?
- I'm going to replace the sounds with samples by converting the hits into midi
anyone put their mouse over his at 1:24?
nah man, i don't mess with that shit
thats BFD2 for sure
this all looks very similar to trigger.....
so much blur
Зарабатываете деньги, даже текст не переведен с английского на русский
480, really? SUCKS!!

I can't get it to work for shit, waste of money.
