Be advised Mitchell:
I did 115lb overhead press for 3 sets of 8 reps yesterday.... I'm pretty much breathing down your neck for that new world record 😂
Bros clearly not natty 🙄😂
@@Gndlf_TheOrange 😂 can't get those numbers without a little 💉
😂😂 I love it
What's your max?
@@Lee-ic2yn I'm not sure, I might check tomorrow
That’s what’s up bro I accidentally found out I can overhead press 135lbs my friend out the wrong amount of weight but 115lbs that’s good bro keep it up
World's best yoke by a wide margin, and still trying to make it better. I'd hate to be the other guys right now. 😅
He’s the fastest I’ve ever seen on yoke.
A 140kg man running with 350kg on his back at that speed is terrifying 😭
@@alexdesforges5026just a moose doing moose things
The other guys are competing to see who comes second to Hooper.
YES PRODUCTION TEAM! Loving the graphics over the river and added touch to the reflection. Very nice 👌🫎
Wow! You are changing my approach to working out everytime you upload a new video!
Another great video from you that both motivates and educates. Thank you!
love to see the production quality getting better and better
Perfect timing. Planning for my first strongman comp over the summer and it's got an axle press as one of the listed events. Time to obsessively watch all your axle ohp videos in preperation
about to go to the gym, excelent motivation
Very cool!! Glad you enjoyed Nashville and looking good for World's!!!
You’re crushing it! Love the videos.
You are Killin it.
Amazing Axel clean and press
i live 45 minutes away from you. im 47 years old and once was a beast . you give me the motivation to get back into it i would love to meet up with you one day with my 14 year old son so you can give him some motivation to lift heavy and be kind. thanks for the videos Mitchell Keep Canada on the map brother.
MOOSE!!💪🏻
Hope you had a good stay in Nashville! Come check out Franklin next time! I used to be a member at the first and second southside locations several years ago prior to the change in ownership and their move (to the north!). Now my garage is the best gym in town and I won't be told otherwise! 😂
love the content
I was born and raised in Nashville, love it! Haha awesome!
Being able to pick Loz's brain and with a bigger frame makes alot of sense why the yoke is one of your best events. Loz was a beast on the yoke.
Outstanding!!
Cool vid
You didn't meet up with Evan Singleton? He lives in Nashville would have been a cool collaboration.
That’s literally his gym too and no sign of him haha
@@joeclark2201 I've been seeing him and 4 other strongmen at Shaw's gym training..
PLEASE TALK ABOUT HOW YOU FIXED YOUR GROIN!
I’ve been suffering with a groin adductor/tendon issue for a solid year now. It got a bit better, I went back to squatting, it got worse again… Started rehab over and now it’s maybe 80% good but I’m still scared to load up heavy on squats.
South side, no T-rex?
Great video Mitch! Quick question, what is your go to watch?
Where was the T-Rex???
Probably out shooting something.
@@QueenToKingOfSpadeshis own foot?
@@brianmcnamara5890 What ever he was shooting he was definitely being mere focused and collected than at a strongman comp.

TEAM MOOSE
That last scene on scooter 😂
Moose 🫎
Off topic question Moose. I’ve got a supplement I’ve been taking for join pain. It’s called Umary. I’m happy with its results but I would like to get it third part tested. Who do you trust to test your sups ? Thank bro. Goodluck at WSM !!
moose is loose, lets go!
Mitchell, genuine question, how much damage (if any) do you do to your stomach when performing those axle lifts? Do you end up with massive bruises where it pinches between the bar and the belt or any damage internally after doing them?
LHBK
At least Brian knows the squat is important. Worlds isn’t the same without a squat event
This is not really a video but a best of. Axle world record will be yours 100%!
nobody and nothing can stop you.
Hopei can get to hear you on Theo von podcast in Nashville.
Mitch, that choppy, triceps push down thingy with the straps at 6:48 - what's that for? Or maybe the question should be "why do you do it that way?"
Make some weight belts that go to 50" please! I can't find any in stock anywhere :(
This🙏🏻
Can you do the at home test from Ontario, or is it better to be in Nashville??
I have contacted blokes. I'm in the same boat. Live in Toronto area. Can't even start the online process without US address.
🐮 best I can do
🇩🇰Hi Mitchell - is the "snatch" move not allowed in the axel press ?
And , is it possible to do the whole lift using only overhand grib ? So you dont have to make the transition midtway
Mark Henry used to do it overhand back in the day. I think people don't do it, because the bar is to thick and it doesn't rotate
Mitch explained it fairly recently in a video. Wish I could remember the collab to recommend it.
You have to have extreme grip strength, and be able to manage the fact that the weights don’t rotate. It’s basically impossible after a certain weight
Just to remind everyone, Mitch is a Full length Marathon Runner... I believe this has helped his muscle recovery and stamina in the strongman sport...
🦌I couldn't find a Moose emote
That poor scooter😂
As a Nashvillian, we are full, go away 😂
Any collab with Evan?
Its too bad we never got to see Mitch doing the super yoke that basically only Shaw could do.
Anavar noodle soup with a side of testosterone string cheese and a big ole trenbologna sandwich with halotestin salt and pepper 💪
Amen
For everyone having tried to deadlift 200+ kg, that is (for a normal human) pretty hirrobly heavy!!! And to axle press it is just ridiculous!!!
Wow he is 1 of a guy..can brain and thor do this
i saw the title and my brain immediately went to the linkin park song!
I LIVE IN NASHVILLE
Can't wait to see you secure another WSM title!
❤
I love your videos, but I think you need to move to America!
You should make a video with Devon Larratt😁
I think Tom will give you a good run for your money
Anyone else just find themself staring at Mooses quads every video?
I met him and honestly they're like oak trees 😂
I thought I had the world's best yoke😅!
👑🦀🍁
Those yoke starts look insane. Hopefully we get a tutorial.
How the hell did you keep those legs without squatting for 6 months?!
narrow stance leg press or even isolation exercises like leg extensions are a great way to keep training your quads without involving your groin
I think I’m an idiot. I read the thumbnail and thought “yeah it probably isn’t safe attempting a world record axel press”
400 pounds looking like a warmup. Dang, bro
😊
The peptides still took 6 months to heal the groind tear? I know they healed the ham string tear in about 2 weeks. Guess the groind takes lot longer
might have been a worse tear too. the groin is tricky because it will stiffen up very easily if you don't keep up with moving through your range of motion, and so recovery can be complicated, as if your groin isn't in the condition to keep up range of motion exercises, you have to rest it, and rest without activity will make it stiff, which can lead to more difficulties getting it back up to strength and mobility, potentially even further injuries if you're not careful.

no Singleton, sad
Crazy to think that olympic lifters still manage 60kg more. I wonder if that all comes down to the bar diameter. Would love to see Lasha attempt an axel press.
If I had to guess it's that strongmen have to diversify what they're good at across a huge range of movements and olympians competing in just a few movements in one competition can devote all of their time and effort to just that area. I think if you asked an olympic athlete to compete in strongman they would GENERALLY be out of their depth. This goes for any two sports comparisons.
Misha koklaev (definitely spelled that wrong) was an Olympic lifter and he was great at jerking the axle. Cleaning an axle is way harder due to the diameter and the fact it doesn't rotate. I bet if he trained for it Lasha could jerk a similar weight to his record out of the rack.
Bibys record ain't safe
is there a canadian version of blokes?
You are very nice
Strong AF 💪👌
If it’s not safe it’s probably really cool 😎
EDDIE HALL must be sweating...
Another awesome vid. I worry that you’ll tire yourself out before Worlds, but I’m sure you’ll be fine….. but I still worry. Cheers from Ottawa.
Maybe you will collab with Clarence Kennedy? He is a weightlifting monster and may help you break the world record
Hey Mitch you gotta hook up with Devon Larratt you guys arent far apart would be cool and a shit ton of view's! 🐐🐐💥✌💪💪🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Couldn't tell if the low back pump was a steroid joke or not lol
The Moose is “The Beast”
He hates to admit that I’m his son
💪🏻
Do it like Eddie. No split jerk. Eddie hit his with barely a push press

I thought he was going to say Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 🏝️… broke my strongman heart ❤️🩹
Dominican republic is a shit hole no ones favorite place
The axle is yours, concentrate be one with the weight.

I thought he already did 210kg ? He said pb but did 206kg
