As an ex-member of the Giant Eagle deli department, I can confirm: non-chipped ham ruins people’s week.

I used to work at the deli at the Wexford Market District. People are always really specific on how they want their ham. Some people want it chipped enough to be sawdust where it takes about half an hour on the slicer to get a pound which is a real pain in the ass especially when the line is long. And then people would complain about getting the pre chipped Isaly's we had in the case even though it's popular enough it never sits in the case for more than an hour and is just as fresh as us chipping it to order.

I from Pittsburgh, but I go to college in upstate NY. I’m a senior now, and I think at least once every year I’ve watched this video when I got homesick. Hearing the Pittsburghese always gives me a little taste of home and makes me feel a lot better! Thank you Pittsburgh Dad!

We didn't have snow boots n the 60's as kids. We put on six pairs of socks, then Town Talk bread bags, then our rain boots. Still had ice cold wet socks after an hour of sled riding, so we'd peel them off and do the whole process again. Always got holes in the bags. Just thought that was what all children did.

I wanted the hot sauce; it is located next to the “Colony Sauce” and Rachael Ray whatever” the Pittsburgh Dad hot sauce section is near sold out, the steak sauce not so much . I tried the hot sauce, its great, only problem no little plastic hole piece for shaking, so be careful and pour easy. Dad says put it on eggs, I used it on pan-fried potatoes. Taste great.

So many Giant Eagle memories. 😊 We have them here in NE Ohio, too. I missed them when I used to live out of state, and would make a point to visit one on each visit home. I remember sitting there once on one of those visits, and eating an entire loaf of their bakery bread. 😄 So good, and the Winn-Dixie near where we had moved just didn't compare.

That was hilarious, as usual of course. However, I think the Giant Eagle they selected was a bit too 'fancy'. You want a real Giant Eagle experience, try visiting the Greenfield Giant Eagle. I went back home for a visit last July & walked into that store, it looks like it hasn't been touched in the 20 years that I have been away.
You guys always put a smile on my face! Can't wait to watch another!!
