  • This video goes over the basics of bulk, armour, shields, and weapons. It should serve as a useful guide to pick your starting equipment.

One thing that you hinted at at the end but didn’t go into, which is fair, is if you have an adventurer’s pack that’ll include a backpack. Backpacks are containers which have their own carrying capacity that doesn’t affect yours.
So the backpack has “negligible” bulk when you where it - not even counting as a light bulk. But it can be filled with up to 4 bulk and the first two bulk don’t count towards your total carry weight.

One thing to note about armor and bulk. The bulk listed on the armor chart is for worn armor. Worn the weight is properly distributed, but when stored or carried you add one bulk to the weight because armor is cumbersome when not worn.

At the point where you were talking about finesse weapon traits it should be clarified that finesse only affects your attack roll to hit and has no bearing on your damage roll, which still relies on strength. The only class that can fully take advantage of dexterity for attacking and damage is a Rogue with a thief racket.

Misread "Explorer's Clothing" as "Emperor's Clothing" and that for sure works for Unarmoured

The Finesse trait only determines accuracy, you still use your Strength modifier for the damage.

Can you cover something like interact actions, like how getting stuff out from your backpack might take 2 actions, but if it's on your belt it takes 1 action, how many actions does it take to change your grip etc. How many items can you have in your belt?
Also how do weapons work with spellcasting, is a spellcaster allowed to have a twohanded weapon while still casting spells? Does it take an extra action to bring out your focus? What about Alchemical items?

It is becoming more and more apparent that pathfinder ability scores play a much larger role in the game than in 5e.

Question: is it possible to do 7 min vids for classes or impossible/hard to do?
Most class guides for pf2 are long or… LONG (looks at 40+ min ones) which little bit of me but most of my players are not fans of.

what is the point of having 20 hp on a shield if you cant use it past 10? it can absorb a big hit but not more then half as many smaller hits?

You don't have to use dexterity for a finess weapon, correct? It just gives you the option.

I've been doing armor wrong this whole time, i thought the strength score on there was a prerequisite to wear the armor.

One little mistake you made with the finesse trait here is that you at least make it sound like Dex would help you do more damage. Finesse only helps on your to hit rolls, not the damage rolls.

"needs a free hand"? *homebrews a four-armed, and thus four-handed, race* Take that! Now I can use a two-handed weapon, a shield, AND cast spells!

FYI melee is pronounced like "may-lay"
Person below me is confidently incorrect. It’s always pronounced “may-lay” as it comes from French.
