Fun competition! Quite back and forth, Nitram really made quite an impressive comeback! Your discussion about Gary (rewarding the player, or maybe even punishing them) could be a cool randomized aspect! Like, different coloured lab coats or something and each one means something else, maybe like: "rewarding gary" (save tiffany and you get a bunch of stuff), "punishing gary" (don't save tiffany and he somehow negatively impacts you (maybe you lose 25-50 health on all body sections (to a minimum of 1; or just flat out bring all body parts to 1 to be really punishing lol)); this one's rather "gamey" though, so it may be "out of scope/design"). Do you ever run bingo speedruns? I guess waltonware is that kinda thing to a certain extent, but I hadn't thought about bingo/waltonware speedruns til today. On the topic of bingo+speedruns, one idea that popped in my head as I watched this, in the vein of the above stuff, is maybe bingo line completions could give rewards (maybe some medkits/biocells/an aug upgrade/ammo/lockpicks/multitools/upgrade canisters; either randomized or with certain "lines" giving specific/known rewards (of course, this could be randomized too lol)), to further increase speedrun variability. Could also make "regular" runs a bit more rewarding, since (last time I played the randomizer at least) the bingo just seemed like a for fun thing that didn't really interact with the world much at all (beyond (iirc) the end score points). Might be something that isn't touched in the end though, so I'm not sure if it would be a good addition (if it isn't there already, haha).
An excellent idea, well executed. You've got my sub =)

Thanks for those links! I’m looking forwards to seeing how those look, I’ll definitely check them out when I can :)
Wish there was an Deus Ex remake for noobs like me who just can’t get past the clunkiness of an otherwise fantastic game
you should try our Zero Rando mod which adds a lot of fixes and QoL, you can get it from mods4ever.com/
What a shame.
