Thanks for the videos. I also shoot a 30BR. I shoot in IBS matches in the HV class. I'm still pretty new at this game. So far I think I've competed in about 8 matches. I would be interested in knowing how you prep your brass. Do you expand, turn, and fireform; or use Cream of wheat and then turn your brass? FWIW, I shoot a Panda action in a Kelbly stock, Krieger barrel, Leupold 45 scope, 112gr Bart's bullet, Lapua case, and 33gr. LT-30.

Thank you for the comment. I have my brass prep steps written out. If you would like a copy please send me an email to ctdshooting@gmail.com To quickly answer your question I; expand, turn, fireform with a bullet, anneal, trim then start load development. However, realize that it will take three firings to get the brass fully formed. I hope you are enjoying that matches.

Please correct any misconceptions I might have gotten watching YT(my MD always rolls his eyes if I mention something from the Internet-haha), Safety concerning Lead exposure, I'd heard primers are the main source of exposure(fumes when firing and residue left inside-no mention of handling new primers) so need care in handling/disposing? why not use the RCBS for both neck chamfering and deburring? I'm assuming you've found the manual Lyman tool to be more consistent/precise ( actual test comparisons?)..Ah,just googled forums, not much love for power tool centers, too easy to cause damage?

Hello John. I have never heard of lead issues while handling/firing primers. I am not saying that is not true - just that I have never heard of it before.
For competition brass, the highest level of consistency is needed. If you measure the length of the brass before you chamfer it should not change when you are done. I use the Wilson to make sure it doesn't. You can actually make the brass "grow" by .001 to .002 if you do not set it up the Wilson correctly or push too hard too long on the RCBS. On hunting brass, it probably wouldn't matter which one you use.
I use the RCBS for deburring the outside of the neck. Many times, I will follow up with the hand tool just to make sure on the outside. Hope this clears things up on why I do certain steps certain ways. In the end, you gotta do what works for you at the level of precision you want.

Hello Tony. I do not resize in the off season. I resize right before I load the cartridge.
      Thanks for the question.
