  • Blessing over the wine:
    Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, borei p'ri hagafen, we praise God, Creator of the fruit of the vine.
    Blessing over the spices:
    Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, borei minei v'samim, we praise God, Creator of spices.
    Blessing over the lit Havdalah candle:
    Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, borei m'orei ha-eish, we praise God, Creator of the light of the fire.
    The blessing over the separation of Shabbat from the rest of the week:
    Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, hamavdil bein kodesh l'chol, we praise God, who separates the sacred from the profane.
