    Who will win the 2018 NBA championship?

    • @warrickjames7527
      @warrickjames7527 6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      the team that has 2 superstars, 2 allstars, and a FInals MVP(that is a former 2012 allstar) "
      Warriors are lucky they never have been up against ANY team that has 3 -4 superstars on it... oh thats right THERE IS NO TEAM THAT has that MANY STARS besides them.

      Radhee dont be mad, drafting well and one transaction. In my book they build that team in a more fair manor than LBJ build his superteams.

    • @warrickjames7527
      @warrickjames7527 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Lebron only had 1 superteam and it only had 2 HoF on it... Lebron and Wade. THey still had to go face Boston with Pierce, Rondo, KG, and Ray until they finally broke it up. They still had to face Tim, Tony, Manu, and Kawhi. Lebron's superteam wasnt the strongest superteam

    • @MoXy33
      @MoXy33 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      2 super teams actually. Lebron also put them together in a more underhanded way as he convinced bosh and love to follow him. While the warriors cultivated home grown drafted talent and made one move in the off season. Every other super-team is made with two big acquisition taking players from two different teams destroying their franchises. The only franchise effected by the dubs was okc. Miami effected cleveland, miami and toronto

      KD is the automatic two points. He gets his shot off so easily. There isn't any matchup with him except maybe Kawhi Leonard. If its not his team then its the playmaker's team, Draymond. Steph doesn't have any point guard responsibilities. The Houston series showed it. Steph struggled against them So did Klay, Durrant was the only one guarded by people 5 inches shorter. He is the reason they are unbeatable. Without him LeBron is winning.

  • @dannyg88
    @dannyg88 6 ปีที่แล้ว +62

    Nick sounds like he's got sour grapes. Yes, its true the Warriors have been relatively healthy throughout these past 4 years. There's a reason for that. Its part luck, but its mostly how they manage their minutes during the regular season. They keep their Big 4 between 32-35 minutes per game and rarely push them to 40 minutes. They also hold their older veterans out of games when they need rest.
    Also, its not like the Warriors didn't have injury issues this year. Curry missed 31 games, and at one point Curry, Durant, Green, and Klay were ALL OUT with injuries. Thats why they scuffled down the stretch and dropped to the 2 seed. If that didn't happen, Houston probably doesn't have home court advantage to begin with.
    Injuries are a part of sports and there's no use trying to re-write history or project what would have happened if they didn't occur. This isn't 2K, you can't turn the injury slider all the way down to 0. The Warriors played the competition that was in front of them and won. I don't hear Nick complaining for the Celtics missing Kyrie and Hayward, or all the other teams who suffered injuries that benefited LeBron.

    • @georgesanchez8051
      @georgesanchez8051 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      No one plays 40 minutes unless there's OT. I remember one time, I saw Draymond play 38 minutes and I was cursing at Kerr through the screen to take him out because he was playing too much 😂😂. Also how many games do these guys sit out 4th quarters for lmfao. Preventing fatigue and injury is just as much strategy as it is luck, and we have Kerr to thank for that.

    • @dannyg88
      @dannyg88 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      George Sanchez True. Kerr and the staff really do a good job managing these guys during the season. There’s a reason why they maintained a steady energy level while Houston burned out in the 2nd half both games 6 and 7.

      You guys are exactly right. The Warriors do a great job limiting fatigue and reducing the chance of injury to their players. And they're able to do that because they have a great staff and lots of talent. No other team in the league has the depth that the Warriors do right now.

      The thing is the Warriors two best players (KD and Steph) have had significant injuries before and it's fortunate for them they don't get injured or miss big games like the WCF. LBJ has never had a significant injury. Therefore different context.

    • @elfullin
      @elfullin 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That's not true, LeBron has had injuries specially with his back, and neck, and has also taken games off at the end of the season for rest for the playoffs. Which is fine, but to say that KD and Steph being healthy is "luck" and considering they had injuries, that's not luck, that's them working hard to stay healthy even though they might be injury prone. The context in fact works in THEIR favor.

    • @ryan1collins
      @ryan1collins 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Individual player staying healthy for 15 years, that's him taking care of his body and a little bit of luck he didn't land awkwardly or have zaza go mess up his landing. Warriors running into teams in the playoffs not at full strength on a consistent basis? That's luck

    Nick likes to mention the Luck that helped GSW but everyone/team has gotten lucky. Take Lebron for example. Ray Allen’s shot was lucky, Kyrie’s was lucky, Draymond getting suspended was lucky, to a lesser degree Rondo getting injured in 2012 when Boston was up 3-2 against Miami was lucky. Nick really wants to control the Narrative and make GSW look bad while biggin’ up Lebron. Disappointing.

    Excuses, excuses. The Warriors can only play whoever shows up. They had injuries and their players have missed time just like everyone else. It's not their fault that Kyrie hurt himself. Kawhi Leonard came into that series with Golden State already injured so blaming Zaza for that injury in full is disingenuous. No one ever says anything about Golden State when they collapsed even though Steph and Bogut were injured in 2016.
    Quit whining and accept that the Warriors have been the best team over the last 4 seasons and their appearances in 4 straight Finals is indicative of that.

Irving left after Bron calling him "the kid" about 10 billion times. Jordan helped mold pippen and tried to make him a better player ultimately being top 50 all time, Bron Bron takes hall of fame caliber players and drastically diminishes their play to spotup 3pt shooting roll players, and you wonder why his teammates are trash.

The Rockets would have been handily destroyed by Lebron in six games or less. ‘Bron would’ve put up a 40 point triple double stat line against this Rockets. Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, are Lebron’s, and his Cleveland Cavaliers’, worst nightmare.

      DRAWN you think I care or feel sorry for Lebron about that? Lebron did the same when he joined the Miami Heat. They were stacked all the way through to the teeth. They had at least 4 future hall of famers in the court most times: Lebron, D Wade, Bosh, Ray Allen etc and ask some of the best shooters of all times (Mike Miller) and some of the best one-on-one perimeter defenders (Shane Battier) and interior defenders (Udonis Haslem). No one with common sense feels sorry for Lebron he has to face Golden State Warriors. He started the trend and karma has come back to bite him in his face now. Deal with it.

      so what you're saying is that you think with the Cavalier's cast of role players Jordan would have been able to beat a team with two MVP players in their prime, who's third best player is a top 4 shooter of all time who has the record for most points in a single quarter and has dropped 60 points in just 3 quarters taking just 11 dribbles while doing it, who's FOURTH best player is a defensive player of the year and extremely versatile both offensively and defensively, and a team that has an very strong bench which includes an NBA finals MVP?

      Well If more than half of your finals meetings are agaisnt the Spurs and this warriors team. And every year your team was an HEAVY underdog, It makes sense. Every other top ten player were never underdogs in the finals. That shows how great these matchups are and how great Lebron is. You can't just have one or two great players any more. You need 3 or for top 20 players to even make the conference finals.

    Kevin Love should’ve stayed Or go back to Minnesota where he was their number one option and did his best work. When he’s healthy he’s really good I’d pick him on my team any day he went to Cleveland and became a third option so he doesn’t get as many ball touches as he used to do and that can affect the way you play

    Nick Wright, I believe you meant to say 2002. While Iverson’s Sixers were clearly overmatched, they still boasted the defensive POY, 6th man, coach of the year PLUS the MVP & scoring champ. The Nets of ‘02 were extremely overmatched.
    Their leading scorer (J. Kidd) averaged 14.8 a game, their starting Center was a third or fourth string backup on the 01 Sixers (Todd MacCollugh) that ought to tell you everything you need to know. On top of that, New Jersey got swept. Philly actually beat LA once and on the road at that. No other team in the West could take a game vs. those Lakers. I believe that’s more of a testament to how good those Sixers really were. Very underrated team for their era.

  • @lyonscleveland

  • @shottakidd2

    I love how everyone just disregards that Andrew Bogut getting injured doesn't matter. He was the starting center and one of the best rim protectors in the league. After Draymond gets suspended and Bogut goes down and igudala starts having back spasms then they don't win another game after being up 3-1. But that doesn't matter. It only matters when it's the other team.

  • @jeviosoorishas181
    @jeviosoorishas181 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nick shouldn't have brought up injuries.
    The Warriors strength has been their ability to keep on winning despite injuries. Also their style of play helps them to avoid long lasting injuries, since their top players don't attempt risky plays.
