this really helped me out,great info,etc,i have the original hand book for a '96 disco (green plastic binder) but it didnt say anything abt being unlocked for syncing the fob after battery change and dissconnecting back up alarm but only 15 secs to get the battery off! and trust me that alarm is loud,even when you know that and it goes off,you still jump!!....yes before anyone says anything the terminals are loose b4 the 15 secs its just that they might be stuck.anyway thanks for the video.

Hello guys, I like your videos vlog about Rover Cars.
Can you make a video how to set clear a problem of immobilizer with a Freelander 2002 model S that doesn't have any EKA. Because my Freelander doesn't have it and the key fob doesn't allow to reset the immobilizer. It seems that the only way to get the problem solved is to either go to a Land Rover garage or to do it via an Item that can clear and reset the immobilizer in order to be able to start the engine.

North Americans who are resurrecting some disco that’s been sitting in a field somewhere and are being steimied by the security system, this is a good place to start, but be aware they talk about various elements that your truck almost certainly doesn’t have (the spider for example). Uk and US trucks are different in more ways than you ever imagined.

hi,contact l/rover they will have it on record its called a E.K.A code you will need the vin number reg no,you can get the radio code too,they might charge you,hope this helps,mark.

let me tell you, these systems did not age well. I jump started my battery and it cut off power to the fuel pump.
