Love this deck! I really love his book as well. I typically get this one out when I want to play with the full 52 because it is unique to this deck really. I have seen some others mention gypsy witch, but as I recall, GW playing card associations are not "accurate" in terms of their historical meanings, and the Maybe Lenormand assigns them out in a more meaningful way. I need to look into it more to be sure since it has been a few years since I studied those associations. Anyway - thanks for sharing! 💙
I love that you spent time walking through the book and the way the author talks about Lenormand. It was so helpful to get all those details! I don’t know if you have the Green Glyphs Lenormand or are planning on doing more deck walkthroughs, but if you are I would be so interested on your take on that deck and book. It’s been on and off my list as a Lenormand beginner. I haven’t found anyone who has reviewed it as in depth as you did this deck. Thanks as always for your videos and perspective on Lenormand!
I am new to your channel and lenormand. Have you reviewed the Shadowland lenormand already? I have the tarot and was considering the lenormand to match. I like decks that are different and the book accompanying the tarot deck is great. I would expect the book for lenormand would be great also but know zero about this system yet. I would greatly appreciate your valued opinion.
The 16 extra cards are not an experiment. It is a return to the original deck of 52 according to the gypsy decks. And it opens up a much more interesting game. Reducing the deck to 36 was actually the experiment. It is like with the Minchiate Etruria in the Tarot with 97 cards. It expands the reading wonderfully. This is an incredible deck, although I would make some drawings different like clouds for example that look like dunes or something similar. --- Still, it is a matter of personal taste, there is no reason to agree. I understand your point of view. -- PS: Your videos are excellent. Congratulations.
This one would be great to have, nice and small. I have a small hands, both my decks of poker cards and Lenormand deck are as small as can be! I would like opinion on one thing, Im totaly tradicional. Maybe came from that I started and for most part use poker/remi cards. But Im very much of tradicion, oder in symbolic sence, if someone understands.. I have doubts in extra cards. Finaly I want to be creative and have open mind for new things. What is your take on that?
It is totally fine! I think it makes sense to start with learning the 36-card deck, and then from there see how you like additional cards suggested by some authors - like Ryan Edwards in this deck.

Thanks for this suggestion. I will keep it in mind for future reviews.
Very nice explanation on this deck, thank you, Layla!
This is the Gypsy Witch deck just redesigned. Some cards have been omitted but it’s basically the same

Hi Jeanie! Thanks for visiting. And thanks for telling me about the Shadowland Lenormand. I will keep it in mind for future reviews.
Perhaps more in keeping with your own tastes would be the Dreaming Way; Shadowlands is quite niche.

Do you have a documented source? I can only find information about Lenormand only ever having been 36 cards.

Is this similar to Gypsy witch?
Thanks Andrea. Other folks brought up the Gypsy Witch as well. I will keep in mind for future deck reviews.
I cant remember, is it 36 0r 52 cards? ☺️
The Petit Jeu Lenormand is 36, The Maybe Lenormand has an additional 16 cards so it's 52. These 16 are optional.
It doesn't have the positive, neutro, negative on each extra card 😢
