I’ve just made a chocolate cake following this ingredient, with some digestive biscuits and some other sandwich biscuits I had. Best chocolate cake I have ever made. This is life changing. Thank you
What a miracle!!! How many of you noticed that Chetna wrote the recipe for us below. Let's thank her for that and I hope she continues to do so for us.
This video really blew my mind. Its my first time encountering this recipe and I just had to watch to the end as I was increasingly confused and baffled as you listed the ingredients. How could anyone could turn biscuits, milk and baking powder into a delicious chocolate cake? I must admit I am actually amazed that someone ever discovered this in the first place - I mean who makes a chocolate milkshakey thing in a blender and then decides to bake it lol?! Genius. Now I absolutely have to try this. Thanks for another fantastic video Chetna!
Hi Chetna!! So i made it today and it turned out great. However, it took me less than 50 mins to bake this cake like about 22 mins and it was really soft and moist and the toothpick came out clean. I didnt want to wait longer afraid that itd turn out dry so thank you for the recipe. At least i could think to myself that i did well baking a cake with min ingredients so next time I'd make a different cake with 2 tiers and this trial has given me a big boost. So thank you so much!
Really needed this recipe since I can't find flour anywhere! To make it vegan, use oeros or bourbons or even biscoff biscuits (these are all accientally vegan) and add plant based milk =)
Only biscuits in my house are rich tea, occasionally ginger as bordering diabetic for many years, an odd treat is ok. Bourbons would be perfect for this, and Biscoff, clever girl, I'm veggie, don't touch anything with gelatine so your tip saves me from checking the ingredients!
Omg this recipe is awesome and worked like magic! Thanks and yes I absolutely loved eating this cake with my whole family! ❤️ I made it again, Chetna! Yay! It’s just as good!
Oh my god I made this and came out so good, I made it with homemade wheat flour ginger biscuits which got slightly over baked. I know will use them up in making more cake. Thank you sooo much. I love your recipes Chetna
I finally tried the recipe. I used Marie biscuits and plain digestives. I suspect this recipe works better when some of the cookies have a filling ( like your Oreos). My batter was very thick and gummy. I had to add a lot more milk. It did bake alright though, but I can’t say it was very tasty. The ganache, however, was scrumptious!
I made this yesterday and it was absolutely delicious! I didn’t get the rise I thought I would get. However, the next time I will make it a smaller pan to get a little higher rise.
That is very unusual, never seen anything like that, a cake made from biscuits. We dont bother buying biscuits because they are so tempting, worth having the cupboard now on the off chance we need to make a cake.Thankyou Chetna
This looks GREAT 😋👌and super simple. What a fantastic idea, especially since the ‘essentials’ are quite hard to find right now. Great job and thanks for sharing 👏 Stay blessed 🙏
Thanks for great recipe idea and so loved how your daughter took a spoonful of your cake while you were talking and then ran off without sharing hers! LOL
Chetna, I love your channel and enjoyed immensely following you in the Great British Bake Off. BUT...I’m lazy! If there’s already milk and cookies (biscuits) in the house I’m good🤣! But I really do want to try some of your other recipes. Thanks for sharing!
Chetna, I'm really impressed. Can I ask where do you get chocolate chips from? I can't wait to try this, I've never tasted Oreo. I know I'm weird, that with custard would be just perfect for me, I love custard as much as I love your recipes!
I made this last night using chocolate digestives and a few ginger nuts, It didn’t rise much like yours. I also think it didn’t taste of much once it cooled down, it was quite heavy. What did I do wrong? Was it the biscuit combination?
Thanks Chetna 🌹for lovely recipe for lovely cake. Looks so appetizing that I think I make it tomorrow. Hope will be as good as yours. Take care and stay safe😍
You are so good please please dont pad your videos out to 10 minutes, its so frustrating, Jamie Oliver doesnt need to do it, it would be a lot better to watch
Good day dear Chetna.. I really enjoy you and all of your lovely delicious aromatic Indian dishes.. however I will not be making this cake so unhealthy with those nasty Oreo cookies no thanks.. But I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy it 😛🤗 I made some chocolate zucchini gluten free nut butter absolutely delicious muffins off of site called clean and delicious.. And the texture was so wonderful just like delicious chocolate cake No white sugar no white flour yum yum yum delish 😁😄 You might want to check that one out I added the nuts and some more chocolate chips Love & blessings lovely 😁🤗
Hun, come on. Google is your friend. Chetna is already giving us her recipes for FREE, I think it's a bit presumptuous to ask for the conversions too! Thanks Chetna. You're the best 😉😘

You don't need flour for this recipe?
@@janetrodgers8473 Awesome! Always double check the ingredients though. Recipes tend to change from time to time.
@@susieleyens3641 I think the trick is that the biscuits contain flour, but no you don't need to add any flour to this :)

lolz, i have flour, butter, eggs, and milk but no biscuits (cookies). I guess I could make a batch of cookies first, and then try this recipe ;)

What brand is your oven ? I love how the door slides under.
ironically the one thing I don't keep it in my pantry are cookies... but I do have eggs and flour lol. Still it looks really good!

Fab! can I substitute for almond milk?
Lilian Alvarado
Yes you can have used almond milk and hazelnut milk
Can we use plain biscuits?
Hi Chetna,
Mine took more than 15 mins to bake at 180c.. also I think the type of biscuits we use make a difference..
Yes, you are right
What have you set the oven to? :) love this! Glad it's an honest opinion coz I've always wondered if it could taste good! X
Sorry I meant for gas oven! :) xx
Oven is at 180 C and 160 for fan

Hi George, yes please do try some of the simple curry recipes!
That’s far out! I have Oreos and milk but no baking powder! Either way, this is such a cool video.
Bharathi Rajendran
You can substitute baking power with 2 tsp lemon juice 1/4 tsp baking soda
Chetna, I'm really impressed.
Can I ask where do you get chocolate chips from?
I can't wait to try this, I've never tasted Oreo.
I know I'm weird, that with custard would be just perfect for me, I love custard as much as I love your recipes!
Nice and easy 👍
Great recipe! But i NEVER have extra Oreos and digestives lying around. Nom nom nom

What size is the cake tin please Chetna ? just so i don't make it too thin or thick, thanks
Hi...What size tin did you use please?
Which dark chocolate is this?
Hello, I made this recipe a month ago - it went pretty wrong - so I wonder which size is this square tin?
Hi , can you still do it without baking powder?
I think you'd end up with a big biscuit.
I love cake too and my hips and my tummy love cake too...( Unfortunately)
I can't eat just one piece!

Would you be okay with putting U.S. measurements as I don't like researching conversions and have no kitchen scales.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

The Ganache is still part of the ingredients of the cake, so it's 6 ingredients not 3.
The ganache is an icing which is not called cake, which is why this is called a '3 INGREDIENT CAKE'
@@FoodwithChetna oh really? Awesome to know chetna and God bless you
