An exclusive to Kershaw's website is the Iridium with 14C28N bead blasted blade steel. Sporting a Topo aluminum handle that has recesses for grip. G10 back spacer. KVT bearings. It's fire!
Thanks for the review. I’ll probably pick one up someday. I wish it had a more premium steel. I am a huge Spyderco fan who makes some “ugly knives” but I just cannot understand the appeal of the 940. It is on another level of ugly to me. I think Kershaw nailed the styling on the iridium!
About Con #1. It appears to be a manufacturing/machining defect. The cutout for the recessed pocket clip goes past the edge of the scale causing the sharp edge. Mine does not have this problem. Return yours for another one.
I've been looking at this knife but I'm worried about the heat-treat, I'm looking for TH-cam videos on this. I did buy their Bel Air, the first US-made Kershaw for me since the Skyline! I don't have a Benchy 940, but I've got the Triage, Grizzly Ridge, and Osborne Proxy; the wife has the Pardue and Mini Bugout. I feel that Kershaw did a great job on the Bel Air and I think it's worthy of the "Bug Out-killer" title-- I'd just like to see it with a larger blade! Benchmade doesn't seem worth the price to me anymore...
Kind of a silly comparison. Apples and oranges. The Benchmade is 4 times more expensive. I just picked an iridium up on Amazon for $50. How does the Osborne compare to a Chris Reeves custom $800 folder?
Benchmade charges wayyyyyy too much for what they are. And they have major quality control issues. I recently ordered a Benchmade 375 for a total of $262. The screw set for the sheeth was missing. The molle strap was missing. The grind on the left side of the blade was different from the right side of the blade. I sent it back, but still. They suck.
One of the best budget knives of 2023 for me no doubt.

I have two Iridiums, gray and bronze. Ironically, the blade is same steel, D2, as my Benchmade 710. Well done review.
Looks sweet, good luck with channel, watched your fixed blade video, you might enjoy the white river small game knife.

I really want one but I can't find one in Canada. 😢
I can ship mine to you if you want to buy it. Up to you. Brand new. I’m sure I can buy another one at some point.
there is one left at blades canada
@eastcoast Wow. That's nice of you! Just subscribed
Is there a smaller version of this?
yes
Love this knife, but it is too slick. I need to rough it up a little and it will be nearly perfect.
