The only problem with this underrated sedan is that, the moment you know you can afford Camry you start looking for Audi, BMW or Mercedes..

But Mercedes a class limousine is the same price with a cramp back seat for 3. Lacks under thigh support. Misses reclining and sofa like seats. And no ventilated seats at the front. Also so much road noise at high speed. No insulation like Camry. The only thing that's better is the mbux infotainment system.

The problem with this car is the price. In USA , it starts at 28000 dollars which is about 21 Lakh rupees, here it starts at 42 due to import duties. Hence it really lacks the premiumness of the other German Sedans within the same price range.

I own a Camry Hybrid and it is so much better than BMW, Audi, Merc. The best part is you can actually drive it everyday - without breaking down. The only thing that beats Camry is Lexus LS300 which is luxury version of Camry.
Edit - to those saying Camry is used as Taxi in Dubai, Mercedes E/C class are used as Taxi all over Europe. Also, all Mercs / Audi / BMWs cost 2x and in some cases, 3x of what they cost in Europe - same as Camry.

This car is true luxury. So much spacious from inside. Being in Camry is better experience than Audi A4, BMW 3 series, Mercedes A-class. Every car in this segment feels overpriced. A-class is super overpriced, once you are inside and compare with the Camry cabin you'd realise. Audi A4 drives really well, cruises super easy but the cabin is not as good as Camry. Camry is a much better package than all these cars. Period.

It makes sense until we weane off IC gradually. Sadly this car won't sell as much as it should particularly in India where the price point is above many Eurepean offerings. But those who do spend on this will surely like it. I ha e owned an IC Camry and loved every bit of it in the last decade.

Seeing petrol prices and the situation of electric charging stations, It makes sense to consumers to go for hybrids. But as you all know India is a price-sensitive market. It needs cheaper hybrids to stand in this price-sensitive market.

the TOYOTA Camry VX i-HYBRId® 2.4 VVTi I5 4-Dr Executive Sedan (RHD) could do with a factory fitted front & rear lateral strut bars for enhanced structural rigidity & improved stiffening . . . and then you can expect the TOYOTA Camry VX i-HYBRId® 2.4 VVTi I5 4-Dr Executive Sedan (RHD) to be sporty & dynamic as the ŠKODA Superb L&K® 2.0 TDI I4 4-Dr Executive Sedan (RHD) . . . probably, even better the latter . . . the cabin interior of the TOYOTA Camry VX i-HYBRId® 2.4 VVTi I5 4-Dr Executive Sedan (RHD) could have been way better . . . looking forward to TOYOTA introducing the next 10th generation TOYOTA Corolla VX i-HYBRId® 1.8 VTi I4 4-Dr Executive Sedan (RHD) in the Indian market . .

Test drove the car the other day, here are some few points
    Car has some luxury
Music system from JBL is good but clarity is a bit less
Has a fwd system while priced much as the bmw 330i, should have been a rwd.
The 2.5 ltr hybrid petrol is quite smooth to drive and gives quite a push when needed, surprisingly you never miss the turbocharging in it which the competition offers.
In my opinion the price should be around 39-40 lakhs instead of 43.

I think this comparison of sofa seats in the back is not a valid comparison, Toyota and every other manufacturer should focus on building small cars with hybrid engines and good mileage.
Most people dont factor in the cost of Owning, 'Running' and 'Maintaining' a vehicle.

Seriously, a common man car in USA is a luxury car in India?? just adding some chrome and keeping the price like nuts doesn't make it a luxury car, Toyota. Toyota is even taking Indian car market for granted. They are only overpricing those cheap and old craps like crysta and fortuner. If you think I'm blabbering, once go and check USA and Dubai markets. They have PHENOMENAL cars like Land Cruiser, RAV4, Mirai, Supra, Highlander, ETC, and even pricing is reasonable. Just on the name of reliability, Toyota is considering Indians like fools. Yes, reliability can be a way of marketing, but it is not everything you want in this world. Honda is offering features and reliability, both, unlike Toyota. I own a 2018 model city, and still it's running like a brand new vehicle, and maintenance is also cheap. Now, Toyota is even copying Maruti cars. If you consider all this, Honda is way better than Toyota (In India).
