- Ah, yes. I remember. Originally this was supposed to be for the 1983 album “Thriller” and was recorded as a demo for himself. It didn’t make the final cut for Thriller - so he gave this song to his brothers for the “Victory” album in 1984 - with different rework for the instruments and style ; first with Freddie Mercury , then with Mick Jagger .
@@OriginalAsuka it actually was originally intended for Thriller(which as Actually 1982) with Freddie Mercury. but due to difference of schedules he ended up giving it for the Victory Album and re recording it for it
One thing I ask: I would LOVE to hear the duet mixes of these, using both the Victory album and demo version. I could really see Mick and Freddie gelling with this instrumental. Once again, knocking it out of the park with these mixes. Keep it up!
This is partly wasted by not using Mick's vocals. This was a duet, and Mick would not take anything away from this. Throws us fans off by not hearing both voices, and it showcases the already apparent lack of substantial lyrics and nuance of the original.
I have some requests, completely your choice if you want to do them: You Are My Life Girl, You're So Together Will You Be There For All Time The Lady in My Life Beautiful Girl Speechless I would also say Loving You, but that's already a Bad era track.
I really want to work with Loving you, but idk if I should do a Thriller mix or Bad mix but obviously the Bad mix would have to be different from the demo bc as you said it technically already exists so idk lol
@@OfficialARINGE I'd say do a Thriller version of Loving You. I definitely would want to see what you would do with string arrangements from the different multitrack sessions. If you can, I would say filter out the violins to be one particular track from The Girl Is Mine demo. If not, take the strings and rearrange them from a different song.
Well Even though I name them “80s mixes” I’m really doing era specific mixes but the prior sounds better than the latter so I just kinda kept going with it
This gives me "Price Of Fame" vibes🔥🔥
That and abortion papers were the inspiration

i never heard the original and i'm already loving it
It’s definitely one of my least favorite Jackson’s songs, that’s why I wanted to give it a shot to reimagine the song. Thank you!!
May I give a sujestion for your next 80's mix?

*_The beat doesn’t fit the lyrics, but the beat itself sounds fucking dope. Should have added the drums._*
Yeah this isn’t one of my best mixes. I honestly am not a big fan of this song too
@@OfficialARINGE *_However it fits the western theme the original version of the bad album was going for._*
you have fantastic mixes
Siempre dijo que tus versiones de los 80s son las mejores sigue asi!!
An 80s mix to an 80s song. Interesting!
Ooohh those abortion paper vibes!! so funky man!
That was the inspiration for the melody and the drums were inspired from Price Of Fame, glad you noticed!

J'adore !!!
This is a nice version. Could you tell me a bit more about that rhythm guitar? Was it played live or achieved with a VST?

I love it but its weird to make something that it is already is. Like State of Shock is already 80s so you can't call it 80s Version.

man, something tells me you got some inspiration from abortion papers.
