This might be random, but I love your kitchen sink. It's the perfect size to wash even large vegetables and deep enough to keep splashing from cleaning dishes contained. I've always wished for a sink like that. 😁

Everything looked sooo delicious! I love your choices of different salads/ side dishes. I absolutely love this time of year, especially gardening and planting my vegetables, can’t wait for my harvest! Nothing like eating your own food that you’ve grown!

It’s funny in the summer i tend not to eat a lot due to the heat. Just give me a coffee, tea or a cold soda and I’m fine. Plus I have a very sweet tooth. I love cooking, but by the time it comes to eating it I would rather just watch my family eating it . I have never been a big eater.

I always think that's such a shame to see people not eating much nor enjoying food. I've some friends like that and I'm constantly trying to feed them up.
They're just not stimulated by anything.

    • @LinnainJapan

That happens to me sometimes in the summer. But I will try at east at cold noodles or cold Tofu, but iced coffee is the best 🎶

Hahaha I'm sitting here taking a break from my meal planning, so it really is true the thinking about cooking part. One of my favourite ways to eat chives is in the Korean pancakes, I don't remember ever having it tried as namul :) If I can find chives, I'll try it. Coleslaw is one of my favourite ways of eating cabbage, but today I'm making quick pickled cabbage instead, so go with some burgers tomorrow. I'vo gotten out of the habit of preparing things in advance and I really should get back to it.
Good that your son eats the eggplant even if he doesn't like it. My daughter refuses to eat certain things :(
I always try to keep a travel journal, but the last couple of years I simply forgot. I'm going to try again this year.

I loved all the side dishes that you made. Summer food is the best! And they only taste better after being in the refrigerator for a bit. Your husband is always so thoughtful with his gifts. But you are very thoughtful too with all the special things you do for your family. I love your flowers. Wild flowers picked by your sons is the sweetest gift ever. Thanks for always sharing with us dear friend. Enjoy the rest of your week. ❤️

Linna, you do have such a dear, thoughtful hubby...mine was much the same, still miss him every day!! I so love to try different teas & coffees from around the world too, especially tea right now. We both use the same brand of sesame oil too😊 Meal prepping always takes the longest time, when cooking...prepping beforehand can really cut down on time when cooking!! Thank you so much for sharing too, my dear, sweet friend, Linna.♥

Hi Linna, Happy summer to you☀️
I love the make ahead preparations. It's a super good idea to make meals easier and faster. I have alot of potatoes to cut, blanch, and freeze and green onions in my garden to chop and freeze.
I am busy planting flowers. Your flowers are beautiful in your neighborhood.

My family recently received Hakurei Turnips for the first time from a farm where we are a CSA member. I decided to roast them with a maple miso butter sauce. It was my first time using miso, but I felt comfortable using it because I’ve seen you cook with it so many times. My husband and kids agreed they were delicious so I’m planning to drive up to the farm to pick up some more before they are all gone. It’s always nice to add another veggie side dish to the list that everyone agrees on. Thanks for sharing your delicious meals as always!
