Their support abilities grant triangle adept vs all, pulse smoke pre-empt, heal 7 on hit, double hit, and six other top tier effects. Xane just got his refine, which includes savior. His in-combat stat total is over 450. Battles consist of Xanes (for those fortunate enough to have him) smacking each other with their team huddled around them.
Alfred hits ridiculous defense values. Xane's weapon copies the highest base stats except HP of nearby allies which has the potential of absurd stats like right here
I have made a stupid meme team with Xane. Its Xane, Alfred (for Atk/Def), Arval (For Res and Guard support) and Celine (For Speed and also free healing). Its so dumb
I still don’t know what IS was thinking with Alfred, that’s some absolutely disgusting power creep and his stats aren’t even low enough to compensate for the ridiculous boost. Start building some green mages, everyone.
Pretty sure Flame tribe Lyn is a way worse offender, and unlike Alfred, hers are not visible stats, which is arguably better. Don't get me wrong, very few units would complain for +20 def, but Alfred has very clear weaknesses.
The only unit that gets stronger whenever a new hero gets released.

His spd is only decent and his res is so low, I don't think its too much to worry about tbh.
