    I know I’m several months late but that small rectangular piece of pet wood would be awesome made into a large pendant. If you did that please let me know. I would love to see it!!

    You should make your way to Arizona sometime, I was there last June and went to the Dobell Ranch which literally borders the Petrified Forest, the rainbow petrified is very colorful. I had read that if a petrified specimen still shows growth rings is much younger than those that don't. Those pieces I dug in Arizona on average don't show rings as prominent as your pieces do. Regardless you had some very nice finds and I thank you for sharing

    I know this has been up for a while, but hopefully you still see this. I was just wondering how they charge. Is it by the pound, or by the piece, or what?

    • @WorldofRockhounds
      @WorldofRockhounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course I'll see it! It is by the pound. You can can dig all you want and get to pick and choose what pieces you want to pay for.
      I do believe there is a minimum now. I'm not 100% what that minimum currently is but no matter what - it's worth it. There is still a bunch of good material out there still yet to be found.

    18:28 looks like petrified oak burl or oak root. I can see the medullar rays in it, a dead giveaway that its probably oak or sycamore with the larger rays. definitely not palm, it would have tubes if it was palm. cool finds, thanks for showing all of them at the end all cleaned up!

    Could you tell me the date that you were there? I feel it's the place that was sold to previous owners friend. I have called multipl times to try and get out there but no dice.
    Everyone has been super nice and respectful but it's a disappointment to keep going in circles.
    So curious as to when this one. Because I seen one like this from you but I was thinking it was more than 20 days ago it was posted. My perception of time as of late has not been spot on so 20 days 10 years all the same to me as of late. Unfortunately.

    Yikes! Was that poison Ivy over the rock at the 2:31 mark ? ? why don't you use a spray bottle to get a good look at your finds?? Where do you apply for Extra Lifetimes? You will have to live to be several hundred years old to get all your pieces worked. LOL.. Let me know where to apply. I need 2 or 3 hundred more years for My Projects.. LOL

    • @WorldofRockhounds
      @WorldofRockhounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad you were looking out but those are blackberry briars! Oregon's plentiful berry and obnoxious weed haha
      If I plan ahead, I will sometimes bring a spray bottle OR I will just bring an extra jug of water to put into a 5 gallon bucket to scrub the perspective treasures! I'm aware that I have ALOT of rocks but some day I'm sure I'll start selling rough just to bring the pile down because it really is more than what I can work in a few lifetimes :)
