I had the good fortune to take the tour of this wonderful collection. George and his daughter gave our group a personal tour of all the buildings and answered everyone’s questions about their trucks and other items in this magnificent collection. Trucks, cars tractors boats and snowmobiles. It takes a whole day to see this collection. Absolutely stunning collection.
I'm glad youtube decided I would be interested in your channel. What an awesome show of classic trucks. I am amazed at the amount of work and I assume money that has been put into restoration of these trucks. I hope your visit to Canada was an enjoyable experience! Having driven the 401 across Toronto many times I can say you have experienced the worst traffic in Canada. I chuckled when you said shoot me at one point when you were climbing into a cab, given the laws to own a short gun in Canada nobody would have one, thankfully. As an individual who was in school when the metric system was "introduced in Canada" some conversions for speed limits are KM x 6 divided by 10, this means 50 km = 30 mph and 100 km = 60 mph. We, Canada, have still not completely given up the imperial system, ie. sheathing, plywood, OSB and drywall is still measured in feet, ie. 4x8, construction still uses 2x4 on 16 inch or 24 inch centers. I would like to finish with a kudos to Tackaberry for their preservation and presentation of these trucks.
I've been looking forward to your video of this show and you did not disappoint! I was so sad when it ended lol! Keep opening those doors, I love to see inside!
Absolutely unreal. I am booking time next year to make sure I get to that show and drag my dad around in his wheel chair to see this stuff. He loved your video.
That is an unbelievable show Mike. I started in mid seventies. W model ford cabovers. Astro gmc. That was the first kind of trucks I owned. Good old days.
We call those old style like the GMC a “Bull nose.” Thanks once again. I love how you give each truck film time, and with a steady hand. Oh, thanks for cracking me up once again. “I’m not a Mack guy…”. “Wow, I really like this!” 😂😂
O-H-I-O Porters🇺🇸 Dude, you would good in any of those old trucks! C’mon! That 65 Diamond T is a great truck. I believe it has an Autocar cab. It was originally a wrecker when Howard bought it. He rebuilt it as a tractor & did a Top-Notch job on it! He had good taste! I drove a Marmon cabover…425 Cat & 13 speed. It would roll down the road & got about 7-8 mpg. We loved it! I’ve never seen a Mack Magnum cabover. They are so cool! Tackaberry has some wonderful trucks in his collection. So did you get to drive any of them?! I imagine you had fun taking all that beauty in!! Blessings my friend! 🥰😎✌️
Great video Mike. Tackleberry has the best collection of there in my opinion! My personal favorite would have to be that international high Binder! You just don't see them around anymore.
Ok ready for this the cab over marmon was a government truck had a 7 speed Allison hauled for the dept of energy nuclear stuff. Also the escape hatch was for the extra people. Also would have bulletproof glass.
Don't get me wrong I love these videos you do at truck shows they are my favorite looking at all these cool trucks bust something just doesn't seem right about opening the doors without the permission from the owners let alone jumping in and sitting in them... I know I would never do that at a car show and these things are way cooler and more expensive than cars. But don't get me wrong it makes the video that's for sure I really appreciate these videos and looking at the inside of these trucks
I had permission from Charlie Tackaberry to hop into any trucks he owns and that's what I did. I didn't climb into any and wouldn't climb into any that I don't have permission. Now opening a door on the other hand, that's a grey area depending on what show it is.
Hey Boston wish I would have made it up there. I heard tackaberry had a great collection. Seen you in Louisville truck show. You were a nice gentleman in person to.
Hey Mike how are you doing today my on this beautiful day and I like watching your TH-cam videos they are very educational videos and like old school tracks
Man there's some beautiful old trucks there Mike. I wonder is this Takaberry company is it a current trucking company also or just a collector and museum of trucks do you know? Can't wait to come over to the USA and Canada and visit some of these classic truck shows. Just love the old trucks especially the 70s 80s and 90s years are my favorite and also what I grew up. Best years of trucking in my opinion.
Tackaberry Construction is gravel and materials company as well as construction. Stay tuned to see his graveyard of trucks and private collection in upcoming videos here.
That cab over Marmon is ex government or military. Escape hatch. That is supposed to be an air purifier for radiation on the back. I've seen one before and that's what i was told when looking at it.
in 83 my stepdad drove a 9670 4 bdr transport out of westminster vt vt 2 madesto ca. and back with a copilot in 5 days..ii believe they run long nose petes now.
Mike don't you remember ST JOHNSBURY TRUCKING Cambridge Massachusetts they ran the big GMCs with general motors 2 cycle diesels they ran out to Maine nh VT nyc.evry nite they were the conventional cab not the cannonball some times there would been be 4or5 together Goin on rt.1 in kittery by the old trading post and all the engines would get in sync and Crack people's windows this was like 1953 to 1957 used to stop at buzzys truck stop in portsmouth ronrdzl
Hey Driver you ever thought of getting some Cards made ? then people could later find your stuff ? It's a Tax deduction !! Good to see you up in my area and piss on anyone saying they dislike your Truck .wannabes all . Peace out
Mike- Do you know if this Tackaberry family has any connection to the company with the same name that made quality ice hockey equipment, skates, gloves, etc. Thanks JM
When I Saw that international l thought someone took a cab over Pete and a long nose international and made it never known they made those ugly things 😅
WHat kills me about your new truck is the painted tanks and chrome battery box. Call it personal taste but I think a painted battery box goes better with painted tanks than a chrome one does.

The conventional Marmon was my coworkers father’s truck. Some of the stories I’ve heard are amazing. Trucking back in the day was something

Funny you said that, I refer to Willie Wonka in my future video of the Tackaberry private collection. 😁

Hats off to your Dad.🤠

It really is!
My first time on the dig road was in a old Freightliner like the 2 tone blue one 😊😊
Off the planet

Charlie has a sh*t ton of trucks and other collectibles....the show this year was even better that at the fairgrounds.

ahhh okay
Cool
😎
Man I have the same picture of the Pete on my wall like the one in the trailer 😅
Yeah got pics of my dad and his brother's dressed up with those old uniforms 😊
Do you know how the those big black steering wheels will fold up and then bend right back into place😊
in 83 my stepdad drove a 9670 4 bdr transport out of westminster vt vt 2 madesto ca. and back with a copilot in 5 days..ii believe they run long nose petes now.
1km = 0.621 miles 😊
Ahh thank you
Marmon hand built in Garland Texas No two are the same custom built to each owners needs
Yes that's 💯 correct!
@@TheBostonTrucker thank you Mike hope you are doing fabulous up there
Did you come through Buffalo? Lot of custom trucks here
Thermodyne was a marketing ploy by Mack, whether a diesel or gas engine.
yes

No-
26:03 maybe not as tall as the Oshkosh military trucks.
When I Saw that international l thought someone took a cab over Pete and a long nose international and made it never known they made those ugly things 😅
1.6km per mile
thank you for the conversion
What do old trucks smell like? Farts?
Benzadrine, Doans Pills and Ben-Gay

Yeah but what's that have to do with this video? 👋😦🤷🤠
I don't know either you got ball,s or just igerignorant to get up in someone else's truck man oh man
Your question may be ignorant but I'll assume you're new here and I would never climb in someone's truck without permission.
If they don’t want you to open the doors they should lock them 😂
Thank you and no one complaining plus Charlie told me to go in all of his trucks which most of these were his. 😉
i want to see the show nt listed to you yap
have another drink🍷
then say nite nite
