When he was doing drugs and booze a lot, he was not as much fun to be around and some of the stuff although amusing at time, looking back is embarrassing to see now and I think in the long term harmed his reputation and career, how people perceived him in the US especially...like when he was in NY and said he was feeling God-like etc. And challenging the black press photographer in US to a fight. He is a clever guy really, a deep thinker...but he can also keep things light and come out with those funny little observations or experiences.
