Hello there. Fellow autism mama here who turned to coloring to combat anxiety. My bear bear is 7 and he is nonverbal and on the lower end of the spectrum.Very challenging for sure! But he is the sweetest! Coloring has been a game changer for me in dealing with our hard days. He has quite a bit of sensory issues. Anywho just wanted to say hey! Happy coloring! 🧩🧩
Yes!! I definitely do art to calm my anxiety it comes from raising them. We love them dearly but when you have to do 60 different nonsensical things so that they can go to bed for example, it wears on a person. Carson dresses like a high school gym coach joggers or shorts and athletic shirts because they are the softest. Sensory issues are fun! Good luck to you!
Sweet sweet Carson. I love when he pops in every now and then. He us pure love and innocence. Who knows what he will add to this world. I find it fascinating that because he isn't able to communicate so well that the impact he has on others will never really be known. I think about Curly saying he saw Sam and that's it, but maybe that day Sam was sad or scared or angry and Carson made him feel better by a word or a touch. Sam can't really communicate that fact and neither can Curly and maybe neither of them even understood it. But it happened and neither of them boasted about it or even thought about it but they both know they felt better. Such is the world we should all hope to live in. While I don't have any personal experience with autism, I do have experience with downs syndrome. My best friend since 8th grade ( yes we had school back then lol) has a younger brother with downs syndrome. He went everywhere with us and now that we are all grown up and her mother has since passed away, he lives in a group home and whenever we go to visit him ( he is 50) he is just full of love and happiness. I mean pure love and pure happiness. It is amazing to be a part of that. As for back labor God bless you, I had that with my third child and I swear I thought someone was bending my backwards and breaking my back,I hurt for you and knew exactly what you meant when you said horrible pain. Thanks for sharing Carson story with us. Tell him I said hi.
