  • Flutter is an expressive tool that supports immediate iteration (through hot reload). This makes it a good fit for the elusive designer-developer: an engineer with a knack for design. In this talk, Filip explores some of the basics of good app design and how they translate to Flutter widgets.

At started, I was about to eat breakfast and just listen to the video, but now I have watched the whole video and dive into the related links in the description (be sure to check that) , the talk is so relaxed that I just sit there watching without thinking how to learn something functional widget to build my app for my graduated project.
Now I come to realize the perceived value, this video definitely is perceived value of Flutter.

Most speakers feel pretty bad about their talks, because all they see is the mistakes and the missed opportunities. Reading someone's comment that it was actually good makes a world of difference. Thank you.

Awesome explanation! A must see for every UI developer. For staggered animations developers might also look at packages (i.e. simple_animations with it's TimelineTween) that adds an additional layer of abstraction, if they aren't that comfortable with plain intervals.

The problem of designer-developer is that, you have to follow whatever the client tells you. If your design looks great but you didn't follow what your client tells you, it's pointless, but its never too late to question what your client wants to do with you. Just be honest if the design sucks or it doesn't align to what users want.

You probably mean the early onset jank issue (github.com/flutter/flutter/projects/188). I've of course tested the app in the video on iOS and there's no jank.
