I will never understand how you are running around and shooting people and being aggressive without being spotted in broad daylight. Meanwhile I'm crawling through the bushes at night and get spotted through a container by a patrol grunt at 100 m.
Same 😂😂😂, even when I see all the fob infiltration missions videos of high level bases, they never get spotted while running and crouching on the other hand I get spotted behind cover while prone and not moving.
Enemies in mgs have like 30-40 fov, until alert is of, they can't spot you if not looking directly at you side, even if you walk around, and hear you step around +/-10 meters. So, basically you can do what you want from behind or left/right sides of guards.
If i open a video on this game and i see people running full speed through bases i just look for a different video because i have tried many times but get spotted everytime

after using the technique you used in mission 20 to defeat the floating boy, and seeing it succeed, I think I'll watch your vids from now on to get all tasks completed (thank goodness I've already s-ranked them) - great job you've done here
After 3 dreadfully long failed attempts literally 5 feet away from them the second they land using my stealth camo and even have the subtitles come up with them clearly talking and have it still not pop I can say with 100% certainty you have to use the mic on the binoculars even if you're a mile away
To get S rank you simply sneak in, kill the CFA target on the second floor in front of the coms equipment and then hop on a container to exfiltrate out.
Got S-Foxhound on the first try, thanks to your rather unique way of utilizing the Int-Scope to listen in on conversations. Almost went south too, as I had to lead one of the sniper away so it won't be killed when the chopper goes down.
I absolutely love your walkthroughs. Never used the Stum Arm much because I couldn't figure out how to use it properly. Because of one of your mission videos I have been using it a lot. Guard posts are a piece of cake. I am only up to mission 21; recently started playing, I have progressed quite a bit because of your videos. I have read where D-Dog was useless...ROFLMBO. I can imagine the same people that say this are the same people complaining that their Mother Base sucks and ill-equipped. Like Skyrim and WOW, farming is vital to success. I also have the mobility upgrade which makes Snake run faster than any vehicle or D-Horse. Thanks for your videos, you have made the game much more enjoyable. Side note. I hated the Backup, Back Down mission. But since I have the EMN mines, capturing any and all vehicles instead of destroying them increased my vehicle resources quite rapidly. Mostly for backup GMP if needed. I also prefer the FB MR Rocket Launcher rather than the GROM. Preference I guess.
Pro tip. After the 2nd conversation, run back outside the base, jump into your jeep drive to the checkpoint just outside the perimeter. Then run back to the 3rd conversation. Saves you from doing it all again
Even with your guides I still can't push myself to redo the missions for completion. I just can't. Still, massive respect to you for the clean gameplays
Hm i did all conversations and it still shows as i didn't do it? i'm getting sick of these glitches and bugs and its always on the conversation/interrogation tasks of all the missions.
+Digi Destined Make sure that you listened to all of the conversation and ocelot has something to say about what you heard. Yea theres something about the conversations in the game that doesn't always work properly.
Here I am, 8 years later in 2024. Tried this one "listening" task over 30 times, but did it every time by being close to them, and every time I got spotted or a body that I left was found and the whole camp went into "alert". Meanwhile, I completely forgot about the directional mic on our binoculars....welp, I'll be doing this for 100% completion of the game. Great game. A bit of an acquired taste if you're used to the other MG games in the franchise, but nonetheless a master piece. Withstanding the test of time and holding its own against AAA games of recent years. Can't wait for MGS Delta later this year.
This is one of my favorite stealth mission along with traitors caravan. Best strategy is to extract the materials last and exfilltrate with it as well. Equip the prosthetic hand that call lightning start the mission from the mountain side of the map and make your way into that room where the black army commander is before the helicopter arrives and hide behind a box, identity him and listen to the first conversation. Secure the snipers by making them surrender but don't extract. Get to the very top of the tower where second sniper is and secure him. use binoculars to listen to the second and third conversation, then get back into the room and wait for the last conversation. Double take down the dealer and the commander once they open the door to get into the helicopter. Then extract both. some guards may suspect something and start coming up. plant c4 and destroy helicopter, extract blueprint and quickly fully charge up the lightning prosthetic hand and make sure all marked enemies by D Dog are within 50m radius. Release and sll enemies are knocked. Run to the building with materials, extract both and exfilltrate while extracting the last red material container
I don't know if it's been patched but a bug to look out for is sometimes the blueprints will despawn when the chopper is shot down, especially if you don't pick them up immediately.
Hi TimeTravelKiwi - I might have found a way to get conversations to trigger all you need to do is while you are prone like on this video that you have is to just move around slightly left or right using the left stick until they start talking especially when they're just standing around just keep moving and it triggers for me. That's what I did with the other missions. Thanks for the guide.
Thanks for these. But with this one, as usual, I just couldn't get the conversation thing to work out. My load out was also subpar and I didn't have that special mic. So I was just like fuck it; went to the helipad when the chopper landed and waited for the two guys and took them out. Got a B which I was able to live with.
Just did the Full Stealth Version of this and wow was that nerve racking. This video helped a lot although, wouldn't you know it, the containers weren't there when I did it. Oh well, I still did everything else and S ranked it but just barely. You have to get the Perfect Stealth bonus to eek yourself over. I also used a lot of smoke grenades to incapacitate people to ensure I wouldn't be seen. And D-Dog was a life saver.
TimeTravelKiwi Oh! The most important thing though, is that after I blew the helicopter, both guys went into that middle level to hide where you snagged the arms dealer at. So I just went down and hit em both with the smoke from around a corner and it incapacitated them long enough for me to run up and knock them out. I suppose you could use sleep grenades (I have the underbarrel AR attachment for it now) but i prefer regular smoke as I can rush in and deal with the targets quicker instead of having to wait for the sleep gas to dissipate.
Yes been waiting for this mission, You are where I am up to now in the game. I know I could carry on through but what's the point when I can get all the tasks done and and go back to the ones where I needed to upgrade my gear more to complete them. I subbed and look forward to the rest.
And here I thought I was thinking primitively that the chopper would just loot drop like that😂 the first time it crashed outside the airfield walls and I Didn't find it
Literally followed this to a T and when i shoot the camera, take put the walker Gear, and take out the guy investigating the camera, the game always puts them on alert and i cant get the 4th conversation to run. Its driving me insane.
Guys, if someone plays in 2021, just make everything on S Rank & and finish all sidemissions, after you get Unlimited Ammo&Stealth. So ez to finish all the tasks.
7Roeth Missions are designed to be replayed so you only see the secondary mission objectives after you've finished the mission once. You can do them on the first mission attempt if you've watched videos or done guides and get credit for them but you won't get a list until you've done the mission already.
Have tryed to finish this mission so many time and after 2 hours of guards see me and screw me over to get all the task Done I just Said fuck it and bombard the place
Just to let you guys know you will need the wormhole fulton device. You need the wormhole fulton device because the container you need to extract is in a building. That means that the balloon won't go up because the building has a roof on it. A roof is a large structure covering the top of a building. Once again you need the wormhole fulton device. The wormhole fulton device is level 4, so you will need the wormhole fulton device because of the building. DUDE SERIOUSLY STOP REPEATING YOURSELF! YOU NEED TO STOP RAMBLING!

+Florim Brahimi Sorry for the late reply, hope you found info on this but the containers are not there because you must of extracted them in an earlier or in free roam, they will appear again it just takes time for the resources to respawn. Its designed so people can't farm reassures.
It's buggy, like pretty much all the "listen to conversation X" missions. For me, (and this happens every time) the arms dealer starts his bit of the 1st conversation, but there's no guy there to reply. It's fucking irritating.
+Thomas Mcgowan That means that you have extracted the containers in a earlier mission or in free roam, you will need to wait for them to respawn. It takes a few hours of playing for them to respawn. It's designed so people can't farm resources.
They usually respawn after doing a story mission or 2. That's been the fastest way I've found. Helps to get resources faster but you're also progressing the story so it's not exactly the best farming technique. But if you just want stuff quickly, run some missions (not side ops).
Actually, I THINK you can replay some last missions for the same effect. If I remember correctly that works too... Then again I hardly ever remember correctly...
Sneak in by the northern hangar, quickly take out the guys surrounding the hangar. as soon as you listened to the first convo, get over to the truck and hide in the truckbed asap. mindful of the chopper. hide there all the way through the third convo unless you have to extract the containers. if you have to, jump out right before the truck takes the sharp turn into the hangar and take cover by the corner closest to containers asap. do a hold up w. the Walker gear guy. they won't see you when he's facing away from the targets and just standing there. as soon as they step into the truck you extract containers. and run over to the main building. you can get in pretty close when timed right. otherwise crawl along the floor over to the targets. I advise using the stun arm to take out everyone in/on the building. there's alot of timing things right with this. so just keep trying. I've done this so many times, with a lot of retries, with me close to pulling my hair out of frustration, you just have to be stubborn enough to keep trying. and also do the transport squad ambush with surveillance cams before doing the mission. that takes a lot of the pressure of when you need to get close enough to hear them talk.
I'm considering giving up on this game because of this damned mission. MGS V has cool gameplay, but it's very unforgiving compared to the previous games in the series. Losing 10+ minutes of progress because snipers and gunships tear me to shreds within seconds after being discovered is just too much...
SV Sneaking Suit or something like that, its the suit from MGS Ground Zeroes you have to play ground zeroes or finish all missions im not sure and then upload your ground zeroes data to mgs5 to unlock it ^^
Its been awhile so I can't remember the name of the Sneaking Suit but like DarthSamuraiRyuu said you need to have played ground zeros and then upload you save to the phantom pain and it will unlock. It is the lowest level sneaking Suit so there is no advantage in using it other then it looks awesome. Intact it a disadvantage to use it.
I love mgs franchise but mgsv has so many bugs and mechanical discrepancy that punishes you the longer you invest ur time in this game. this mission and traitors caravan's last convo triggers are the worst
you probably cant get the S rank with all the task simply because of the timer. The longer you take, the less likely you are gonna be that S rank sadly. Im not really a fan of that.

You cant get the Fulton dev until side mission 50 after mission 31 and you cant get there until you have done this one?????????

How are you carrying tow rifles?
hey on the total stelath version it only shows 2 containers and the task doesnt pop up

The longer you take, the less likely you are gonna be that S rank sadly.
